What went so right?
What went so right?
Why did Evangelion copy this imagery?
Mother too. Some illuminati/satanic reason
I watched this at a theater screening and people laughed at the special effects as if they were bad.
There are special effects in it?
I hate watching horror movies in the theater people are so retarded
Satan make up and dream sequences, not really special effects I guess but part of the visuals
The old couple make this movie
One of the most low-key funniest movies ever made next to The Exorcist
It is funny though. It's not like he intended it to be a 'serious' movie. There's some obvious dark humor throughout it
They're meant to be terrifying.
Nah, way too different
they're not "meant" to be anything, brainlet
That’s not what I’m talking about
I really wish I could’ve watched this without knowing the background and, more or less, the ending. That would have been crazy
It's hard to choose a "top kino" list because you're tempted to choose what you WANT to be on there, versus what should actually be on there. I made my selection based on a single criteria... which have I watched a million times each. With the exception of the top 3, which are in order, there is no order. They all hold a place in my heart as the top kino.
Vanilla Sky
The Fountain
Night of the Living Dead (1990)
eXistenZ
Vampire Hunter D
Event Horizon
American Psycho
Demons
Glengary Glen Ross
Phantasm
Hook
In The Mouth of Madness
Lunopolis
The Ninth Gate
Starship Troopers
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
The Wicker Man (1973)
Your Highness
Don't Blink
for me it’s the films of Robert Bresson
I watched this yesterday. Pretty violent, wasn't bad, but got fuck all on the original
The sequel is the worst book I’ve ever read. And I don’t mean in a lame “he ruined all the characterization, etc.” way. It was just absurd to the point of being unintentionally comic and Rosemary’s Baby is a grown man who keeps trying to fuck her
Roman Polanksi is an amazing director, despite being a degenerate Jew. It's unfortunate.
Hollywood is full of them, he didn't do TOO much wrong. Unironically
It’s hilarious how his friends continually humiliate A-Listers by getting them to sign petitions for a pardon and stuff
Rosemary’s Baby
Repulsion
Possession
Mulholland Drive
what else is there in this line of films?
its basically a documentary
respectable
Separate the art from the artist. Polanski is a scumbag but his movies are good. Both can be true without affecting the other, this is something the academy doesn't understand.
people rave about this movie but while watching it i felt bored, turned it off, and decided to scrub the sink with Comet instead
What did you mean by this?
It's tough when one gets filtered
