Sadly no. The US Military has been in the shitter since 2001 and is doomed to lose the next war badly because it's led by morons and using garbage "techy" equipment I wouldn't give away to African militias for free it's that fucking useless.
The very fact that the Army Combat Uniform wasn’t laughed out of its initial trials or that the US Army decided to waste billions of dollars on an unnecessary replacement for a uniform that worked perfectly fine as it was to begin with epitomizes why America has lost the War on Terror and will lose the next war. That an institution could be allowed to become so rotten to the core from corruption, falling standards, and a total lack of accountability that it can only not get even the barest essentials such as uniforms right, but INTENTIONALLY adopt equipment known to be defective is no institution that can win a low-level war, let alone a war for national survival. Not even Nazi Germany in its darkest days became so mired in dysfunction that it knowingly abandoned appropriate uniforms for blatantly inappropriate ones.
Ditching the BDU/DCU literally lost us the War on Terror and will continue losing wars because massive institutional rot that created this cancer continues to plague our country to this day.
