>The Minds Behind The Terror >Featuring Dan Simmons, David Kajganich and Soo Hugh, with Adam Nagaitis as a guest in episodes 2-4 podbay.fm/show/1370641215
Also he was one of the most courageous officer : when Tupaq attacks the boat in episode 5 he takes the lead and manages to hit the monster with the canon. I'd like to see Des Voeux or Little do that
Cooper Sullivan
/cherassic/ Akimov, if you want me to run this little reactor experiment, there are two conditions: Firstly, I'm in charge, and when I'm not around, Fomin is. All you have to do is check the dosimeter, tell us we're doing a good job, and open your case of vodka when we have a good day. Second condition: My fee? You can keep it. All I want in return for my services is the right to send one of the Georgians to check the control rods. A male, a buck only. How and when is my business. Now if you don't like either of those conditions, you're on your own. So go ahead, check the dosimeter right here, or on the roof, or in the middle of the reactor core for all I care. But I've been in too many nuclear incidents with retarded Ukrainians to listen to any more suicidal ideas, OK?
Jonathan Peterson
Well at least Little doesn't completely fuck over everyone by becoming a traitor. Des Voeux wasn't an officer, he joins Hickey.
Crozier : a virgin, alcoholic mick whose entire crew died horribly
Legasov : heroic slav who sacrificed his life expectancy to ensure Europe didn't become a wasteland. Also, cute smile
Liam Garcia
I wonder if Dyatlov, who did nothing wrong, would be able to tolerate Mr. Hickey, who also did nothing wrong.
Jaxon Richardson
Dyatlov vs. Hickey. An unstoppable force meets an immovable object. Who wins?
Chase Brooks
I read the book recently and realised this monologue is basically taken from Crozier's memories, not Hodgson's.
John Ortiz
Hodgson didn't even betray Crozier. He rejected Hickey prior to the destruction of Terror Camp, only joining up after being found by Hickey's band in the aftermath. And from that point he was a prisoner that Hickey used for leverage.
Grayson Thompson
>is the one higher up officer that Hickey seeks to convert even Hickey knows he's a fucker.
I'd like to cook them in a brandy and cream sauce.
Asher Howard
Collins as chaotic neutral
Isaac Martinez
Well, the whole TheTerror tv-series is about to show how delusional Mr. Hickey was. So, Dyalov could easily save them all. Also, they have their own Dyatlov in a Frankin itself, who keeps denying obvious things until death.
One of them got killed by Tuupac in episode 10 after joining Hickeys group, what happened to the other I do not know.
Angel Jenkins
Would it be extremely painful?
Brayden Jones
Each time I watch this scene I like it more. Some of the best acting in the show comes from Collins here. Top cinematography, as well.
The way he looks down after Stanley reminds him of his credentials, and the desperate expression on his face when he asks about his daughter liking birds both break my heart.
I think after a while they don't feel pain anymore
Luis Gutierrez
Nerve cells live for a long time, and don't reproduce. The lives of skin and intestinal cells are measured in days. The rest of the body is dying while the nervous system is feeling it, and eventually suffering the consequences of organ failure.
That scene with Stanley and Collins was one of the best in the entire series. I liked how he just kept clenching his fists tighter. Feels bad that Stanley assured him the party would lift his spirits, and then literally ruined it himself and sent poor Collins into a spiral.
How that? I rewatched the episode with the trial yesterday and it seems to me as if it was Collins who somehow attracted Tuunbaq. If they had just a few more moments at least Hickey would've been hung and everything would've played out differently.
Zachary Wood
We were joking last thread that Collins 'ratted out' Crozier by telling Fitzjames about the liquor being taken.
But when you think about it, maybe it was a good thing.
Jace Jones
Oops posted wrong. meant for you Was just suggesting that Collins' indiscretion about the spirits may have indirectly helped Crozier.
Eli Howard
The Erebus cook Wall was killed by Tuunbaq in episode 9.
Daniel Edwards
Crozier is sexier, but I want to take care of Legasov.
Can someone post the pic of Valera smiling in the chef hat?
William Phillips
He never got the respect he deserved in the original threads. Neither did pic related.
I only just noticed how amazingly white his skin is under the pajamas
Parker Kelly
Little alabaster doll
Bentley Allen
Why does Nagaitis always play characters who suffer severe agony? Is it his fetish?
Sebastian Martinez
tfw can't find this show(the Terror) on netflix nor hbo from my country
Isaiah Murphy
Piracy exists, nigga
Gabriel Campbell
Would you guys say that the game Cryostasis is a good alternative entertainment in place of Terror? Despite the different time period and supernatural elements.
Nathan Sullivan
It was an AMC series, not HBO. Just pirate that shit. It's always better than streaming in shit quality.
It wasn't abnormal to reach levels of tenderness with your fellow men which wouldn't be socially acceptable heterosexual behavior today, but "my Lady" is going a tad too far.
Jaxon Clark
Was Jopson in love with Crozier or was it just admiration for his captain? His death scene seems to imply the former
Joseph Perry
Kys Jopson
Aaron Price
Lead poisoning.
Oliver Peterson
It is said to be absolutely horrendous to consume.
Colton Hernandez
Why would it be different from any other animal though?
Lucas Watson
Maybe don't eat the fucking thick skin of the soles next time.
Julian Nelson
He didn't call him My Lady. Read it again.
Luke Brooks
In my country, it's on amazon prime
Nathan Walker
>I would like to have seen your place that I might often picture to myself your little employments With Gods blessing my Lady [sic] I will not fail on my return to soon find my way down to see you at all events one thing is certain, meet when we may it will be to me a source of heart felt pleasure Who the fuck is he referring to then and why is there a [sic] by Lady?
Jaxson Jones
I suppose it's mostly the mental aspect of eating parts of another person.
Kevin Robinson
Fuck you Mr. Hickey!
Camden Thompson
He's probably talking about his mother or that woman he was trying to marry. Could've also meant Mary, mother of Christ.
Isaac Diaz
Why would he speak directly to either of those women in a letter addressed to James Ross in which he speaks to Ross the rest of the time?
I’m glad he was happy again for his last few moments of life.
Luke White
I think it might be an inside joke, on one of Ross’s earlier expeditions he cross dressed for a makeshift ball they held on the ship.
Jayden Ward
I'm 99.9% sure it's for Ross' wife. They were in good relations. Crozier stayed at Ross' place from when he returned from mainland Europe to the departure for the Arctic
The Terror >Gorgeous BRN uniforms >Bicorne hats >Wig hats >Beautiful cool palette >Comfy QT wool sweaters >Sexy waistcoats >Scary, but cool sun blocking goggles >Copper hat diving suit >Flattering on any body type
Chernobyl >Mittens >Chef outfits >Soviet frames
I think we can all agree that Chernobyl had the best costumes
No his actual beard is too straight and leaves most of his face uncovered. It's like one of those gross jaw beards. Faceapp beard is full, like nature intended.
Just because the object of your affection has a shitty beard, doesn't mean you have to make yourself love it. Faults are normal.
his normal beard is fine, and i normally abhor facial hair. i don’t know why the haters and losers insist otherwise. it softens his face which is needed cause of his huge (but still cute) chin
Ok so I only watched this show once when it originally aired (planning a re-watch) but I can't keep the dark, mutton chopped men apart... Are both of these pic relatededs Collins or Little? Who was the diver - Little? And the guy that cried on Goodsir got the chains?
Brandon Clark
Both are Collins (he's the diver)
Compared to Little, Collins is pudgier and with rounder features. Little has droopy eyes and looks perpetually sad
Everyone you describe is Collins (diver, the man falling in the webm, craziness) EXCEPT for the Chains. That's Little.
I was confused at first too, but Collins has a nice set of eyebrows, and is usually seen on deck, or sulking alone in later episodes. Little, a lieutenant, has more dialogue and screen time, and has a white collar.
>restarted Sunless Sea with Hickey >Hickey got stuck in the north of the map with no food or fuel, accumulated 100 Terror points and ate his entire crew
Why did Hickey bring Crozier to his camp? What did Crozier calling him lonely and him responding with "Not for long" mean?
Easton Ward
Tastes like pork. Some scientist did a study where he prepared human leg meat several ways from an anonymous donner.
Luis Cruz
someone post fitzjames in drag
Dominic Sanchez
>tfw no scene of Hickey making Crozier his wife and restraining him while making him orgasm against his will until he's completely mindbroken and loves Hickey more than he ever loved that roastie
Jackson Cook
this, but in reverse
Levi Harris
I think he may have the best mutton chops of all, user
Just rewatched the show for a third time. It still leaves me so sad, all these great characters suffering for 10 episodes straight and dying completely awful deaths. Not one happy ending.
See, I never had an issue differentiating Collins and Little, but I did get Collins confused with Goodsir the whole first way through. Now, They couldn't look more different.
Gavin Smith
Imagine actually looking at these two men, I mean, really looking at them. Their worn, sleazy, gaunt visages, the kind that could only come from clambering up the Soviet power structure. Now imagine deciding that the world needs a rather well-made drawing of them sucking each other off.
Jordan Lee
Why does Fitzjames have a personal heroine stock?
Logan Long
these threads are comfy. i enjoy having them as a regular presence in my life. sad that it won’t last forever love you ternobyl comrades
>"Lieutenant Irving. Give the call." >"FORWARD MEN" >cuts to opening kino. this show has great editing like that episode that ends with Goodsir repeating his name to Silna.
Hickey has a great arc, compare him in episode one to episode ten. He slowly transforms into a delusional psychopath with a god complex, he's really not like that at all in the early episodes. I bet it's the lead poisoning damaging an already psychotic person.
Wyatt Gomez
Animals that eat other animals become more and more disgusting the more levels are between them and plants due to accumulation of toxins. Most predators humans find tasty, like bears, eat mostly plant matter while opportunistically hunting meat.
Human tastes like sickeningly sweet pork due to our diets, by all accounts.
Joshua Morgan
I want to see how they did this effect and if it was uncomfortable for Adam to be put under all this gross make up.
Luke Kelly
He got it bad. The good boys got no mercy.
Brody Miller
Why do all the cats in this show speak with an English accent? Did most Russians actually have an English accent as well, and this is just one of those historical quirks nobody talks about?
Blake Phillips
>highed rated T.V mini series of all time >tops GOT >insanely popular
They should start up more episodes somehow, a Prequel or something.
Kevin Baker
It's easier to act if you do it your native accent, so they had the cast speak like they normally do. Plenty of big movies have done it.
Jacob Johnson
>stellan skarsgard >british hate to break it to you, but he is max von sydow levels of swedish
>Why do all the cats in this show speak with an English accent?
There was only one cat and he didn't speak a single line of dialogue, user.
Angel Martin
Why did the two shows link up? Are terror fans so insufferable they had to stick their trash on to a good show? Why didn't Chernobyl rewrite history with a giant demon monster from the radiation? Why not? It would be coooooooooool
John Sanders
Kill yourself, Satan.
William Gray
Can anyone identify this song from my vague description? >slow piano >creepy feel >plays during a dialogue scene Is there a full soundtrack list so I can just go through them until I can find it?
Caleb Turner
Yeah dude like satan shoulda like come up outa that smoke stack would be so cool and gory like the terror except we need the people doing stupid shit too that way the audience is like wooooow they're whacky maybe one guy can set himself on fire no wait that would be way too stupid for a serious show nobody with a brain could possibly like that.
Cooper Ortiz
Just before that there's some nice editing when Crozier mentions "loved ones" as part of his speech it cuts to Bridgens and then Peglar. When he says "courage' it shows Hartnell who accepted his lashing without hesitation, faced down the Tuunbaq and that episode would die taking a bullet for his captain.
Yeah, they're getting in the way of all the off topic sneedposting, porn threads, BLACKED threads, cunny threads, and generally all the other endless bullshit spewed on this worthless board.
Do you remember when he tells that dying cabin boy that as you die you see beautiful things like angels? He's a man of science so he sees the foundations of the natural world. A flower, an animal and a mineral.
Nolan Rogers
>you can literally pinpoit the second his heart breaks in half
Gibson is the worst character in the show : a snitch, a retard, and a weak faggot
Daniel Flores
Either him or Des Veoux who's an annoying, traitorous, cowardly retard. Even then I still felt bad for both of them when they died, in fact I'm not sure there's anyone who I didn't feel bad for other then Hickey. Although, Hickey is actually a likeable character unlike those two.
I didn't trust him the second he had that little chat with Crozier where his accent was questioned and gave Irving that knowing smirk when he walked in preparing to fib on Hickey's faggotry.
Justin White
I realized he was evil when he gave David Young's ring to Gibson. In the first episode we are led to believe he goes down in that grave to close Young's casket as a way of paying respect to him (that's what he tells Tozer anyway), but he really went there to steal his ring. The piece of shit
Jose Gonzalez
i had a lot of sympathy for hickey at the start of the show between jumping down into young’s grave ostensibly to bury him correctly & getting caught by irving and subsequently dumped by gibson. i thought he was going to be a noble endlessly suffering underdog character kek
I have a silly idea. What if we re-enacted a scene from either show together? It would be a nice little thing for posterity before these threads disappear.
>"unnatural and delectable sin of buggery or sodomy" wut
Nathaniel Cruz
It says detestable you silly homo
Charles Williams
and he was being crushed against the tent, he had no where to go.
Jordan Morales
Imagine being this delusional
Andrew Kelly
Sauce?
Andrew Martinez
one of my favs, the way fitzjames asks if he would have done it and then blankey just continues on after a short moment tells us all we need to know. it's so basic but the story is pretty chilling even with no visual flashback which i think was a good choice to not take us out of the moment.
James Smith
Where can i buy these thick grandpa glasses
Ian Price
crozier was the one who opposed hickey since he kidnapped lady silence behind his back and had him lashed as well as the one who pushed for the hanging and uncovered his deception with irving's murder. they were both wrestling for control of the men and hickey wanted to really rub it in crozier's face i guess. also the "not for long" bit makes me think hickey was planning the bit where he tries to connect with manbear and would sorta rule the arctic.
Kevin Evans
>the usual punishment for seamen was 12 lashes How did Hickey take more than double that so well?
Dylan Johnson
Same, I thought he was the character the audience was supposed to relate with, an underdog in the lower ranks. Fuck we were wrong.
I always had a sense that he was a chaotic neutral, but then he started a mutiny and then started eating dogs and people, but I blame it more on the lead poisoning.
Jayden Gomez
Hickey should have gotten with Irving
Charles Nelson
you can accomplish a lot when you’re powered by spite and oppositional defiance to your superiors
Would you watch a version of The Terror where nothing bad happens and the entire show is just comfy shenanigans and Hickey mischief? Because I sure as fuck would.
Anthony Cooper
hell yes. >it's a Hickey pulls another prank on Crozier episode
>ywn have this kind of pure puppy love for your brave and kind senpai I wish our society was still structured in a master-apprentice/master-steward way.
Caleb Perry
Dyatlov would survive the lead poisoning, Hickey and man bear pig and stroll to the nearest outpost due to sheer stubborness and denial
Lucas Butler
so pederasty?
Oliver Hernandez
No dingus. A young adult and an older adult.
Angel Young
>Faggots and roasties lusting after Crozir when Based Fitzjames exists
It's like you guys never watched the show
Dominic Wood
The only reason why I don't lust for Fitzjames is that my love for him is too pure and elevated to be encompassed by that dirty word.
>ywn be able to draw as well as the Dyatkhanov lewd Being a hobbyist with digital art, this is immensely frustrating. I just want to draw non-cartoony pics of Crozier without having to search through pages upon pages of the shitty cal-arts style
Jacob Rivera
>shitty cal-arts style
I'll never undertsand how people can like that shit
