Why isn't it as funny as it used to be?
Why isn't it as funny as it used to be?
Why isn't it as funny as it formerly was?
You're older, and smart enough to now see through what once seemed profound in middle school.
It was never funny
Play Landslide by Fleetwood Mac.
I think of my whore ex wife whenever I hear that song.
They ran out of ideas got older. There are a few laughs here and there but nothing memorable in the last few years.
You've become too jaded and also realize the writing has been shit for years. It's a zombie at this point. Your humor isn't in tune to the lazy shit those 2 chucklefucks think is hilarious. They lost their edge.
Themes were more general instead of 1:1 parody of whatever happened the week before. 4 friends getting into wacky situations instead of 3 friends and cartman playing politics
adults were dumb but not fully retarded (randy).
They just ran out of material
That's not it. I started watching this show when season 20 was airing, when I was already an adult. I didn't even watch it in order. The older seasons are better, the new ones are shit.
The satire is insanely upfront and on the nose that it isn't really funny most of the time. One of the charms about the early seasons is that when the main kids did stupid shit for the sake of social satire, it was also because they were stupid fucking kids. Like one episode I like is the one where all the kids in South Park call the cops on their parents saying they got molested because they get fed up with rules and shit.
Why Drawn together was not as popular as south park?
N
Drawn together was dog shit
The lost the perspective of adult humor from the perspective of 8 year olds. That's why the episodes that rip on whatever reality show suck. That's why the arcing seasons they do now with all the side characters aren't as good. They are out of ideas and the show is long past its prime but I still watch it because it isn't awful.
>Why isn't it as funny as it used to be?
could it have anything to do with trey being a cuck?
This, the best episodes are when they are just kids doing stupid kid shit. It still happens sometimes in newer seasons but not enough.
The season-long arcs are hit or miss. Kyle's dad as an internet troll and SoDoSoPa were great. Cartman's relationship with his gf and Tegridy weed weren't as enjoyable. These arcs are a good effort at keeping a stale show fresh so I can't hate them too much.
>This, the best episodes are when they are just kids doing stupid kid shit. It still happens sometimes in newer seasons but not enough.
Honestly, when was the last time an episode actually focused on that? I can't remember any in the past 5 years.
because parker and stone are pseudointellectuals who think their personal political opinions make for good comedy
>make fun of everyone your whole career but your life is the biggest joke
There was one from the newer seasons, literally just one. They were playing ninjas (with black ninja hoods this time) and end up scaring the townsfolk into thinking they're ISIS (and then they somehow contact ISIS)
I honestly think Cartman's jew hatred made me realize how annoying the Jewish kids in my school were. I always thought "wait, why does this chubby little asshole think he is amazing all the time?" Never could unsee it after that
The Halloween episode last season with the scooters was close. Cock Magic too but I think that was a few years ago by now.
>>This, the best episodes are when they are just kids doing stupid kid shit. It still happens sometimes in newer seasons but not enough.
This is probably it. "Good Times with Weapons" is one of the best pieces of television ever made.
They became these guys
Holy shit. You're right. I think it has to do with them moving to California.
Also this.
because amerisharts ruined entertainment with identity politics
Aren't they getting divorced? If they are I imagine the next season will pretty good
>amerisharts
Great how they have shows to ruin isn't it?
I was thinking of that episode when I made that post. It reminded me of what me and my dumbass friends did when we were growing up. We got our hands on some ninja weapons (there was a homeless guy we paid to buy us contraband) and we all got in deep shit with our parents when one of my friends accidentally split his hand open with a throwing star. He had to get emergency surgery and still has a nasty scar over a decade later.
It was fine til Trump came along. Never expected TDS to affect South Park.
I wonder if comedy central told Matt and Trey to make the show more of a political parody show over just kids doing dumb shit or they just did it on their own because they became huge cucks.
matt and trey are out of touch
The season before PC Principal was the start of its obvious decline.
Bullshit, I can still go back and watch old episodes and laugh.
They are legitimately unfunny now though.
