>The story is the perfect blend of adventure, action, horror and fantasy, complete with great pacing, special effects that largely hold up to this day and finally engaging dialogue delivered by competent actors, making the perfect Hollywood blockbuster that is just as rewatchable on the 10th time as it was the first .
There you go, discussion over.

Fuck off Zoomer

Rachel Wiesz is cute in this movie. MFW I will never have a feisty English librarian to foil an undead monstrosity with.

>What is the plan?
>rescue the damsel in distress
>kill the bad guy
>save the world

One of the few legit 10/10 films ever made.

Pretty based if you ask me

bleh

>tfw I watched this film on an outdoor projector right on the bank of the Nile in Luxor, at night with the valley of the kings right on the other side in the distance
they showed The Aviator then next night which was also a good film

watched it recently. maybe im just a 25 year old boomer but 90's action flick just had more warmth to it

It's the only movie I can think of that is better than I remember.

This scene is from 1999, it's just Brendan Fraser swinging at nothing then the mummies are added later, and it looks so fucking good.
The sequel/s had som terrible cgi in places, but the point is as far as the overused argument goes, movies today completely lack soul.
>inb4 "new thing bad, old thing good" or some shit, kys

I miss world-touring kino like this. Member however Bond movies where shot across whole the world? Member when you saw in the cinema other places than New York/Californication/generacji Chinese city/London?
I member

I wish my life were that cool.

Why don't they make movies like this anymore?

that would be so much fun

>world touring
there isn't a scene that isn't in egypt in the movie
retard

They aren't wrong.

That's the point ape. The film wasn't shot in Hollywood's backyard. It was shot overseas.

I'm so happy that you guys agree that this movie is perfect.

LOOKS LIKE I GOT ALL THE HORSES!

HEY BENNY, LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE RIVER!

because of youtube reviews and their effect on ticket sales
think about how these pseudo intellectual arm chair wannabe writers would tear the mummy apart
>oh so what the mummy can control sand while it's still entombed
>oh so convenient they don't shoot the protagonist but wait for the close up shot of his face
>oh sure she can destroy a whole library and it's just played for laughs and her boss just makes her "clean it up" with no consequences whatsoever
etc etc etc
