Actually I work in the industry and what disney does is keep kicking back shots till the last minute (literally a day before or even the day of a release) and if a shot looks bad by the deadline thats what you see in the theatre. Thats exactly what happened in this case. However they probably didnt originally plan on rereleasing the movie which is why that looks so bad. Its definitely not that they dont care, theyre just a conglomerate that works on deadlines
