The first one didn't make a billion and this one isn't even on track.

Worldwide it will

Not even
It's over

These MCU capeshit movies never have any legs and always fall flat in week two.

It’s already just shy of 600 mil. It will make it to a bil

It's headed for a huge drop off this weekend
Screencap this

What's the deal?

Disney/Marvel can use Spider-Man in their MCU movies as long as Sony gets the box office gross while Disney gets any merchandise sales
Sony owns the film rights to Spider-Man so that means no more MCU SM (which may be a good thing, considering Spiderverse)

How does Sony keep fleecing Marvel like this?

Yeah break free and sink. They wouldn’t be that stupid.

when does this movie come out?

Cant they just buy the tickets?

OH NO NO NO

Like they've been doing for over a year?

how come this board hasn't been flooded with Spider-Shitposting???

Whatever, this Spider-Man isn't even recognizable. If they wanted to give Iron Man a Robin, I wish they'd have just created new IP for it.

This is why they spent 288 million on marketing, the most expensive marketing campaign for a movie ever
They don't care if it's profitable, but it has to break a billion

Not worth talking about too much

What movie is coming out??

thats disapointing. Spiderman is Marvel (comics) flagship character

this
are they poor? lol

>Screencap this
no

Testing

Not even gonna bother seeing it. The other one was fucking boring

It's not what comes out this week, it's what comes out the 19th: Lion King
Disney is actively competing with themselves at this point

It will break a billion but will not beat Aquaman

So how much has it made so far?

Sony won’t kill their deal with Marvel Studios.

They already got huge backlash when Amy Pascal that Spidey may leave the MCU. If they took Spidey back and tried to make their live-action Spider-Man movies, literally everyone would turn on Sony. Every single Critic would give them bad reviews out of spite and audiences would boycott.

Plus, Sony is already happy with Venom (which made money) and Spiderverse (which won an Oscar and is critically praised).

This.

Eh. If they kept Holland, they could get away with it.

Nope.
Audiences and Critics are loyal to Marvel Studios, not Sony.
Plus Sony doesn’t know how to make quality (see ASM 2 and Venom). Their movies would be trashed on Rotten Tomatoes. And youtubers like Moviebob and Double Toasted would call for boycotts.

No problem

>After it’s first week of worldwide release, the latest chapter in the rebooted Spider-Man film franchise topped $580 million worldwide and will pass $600 million by close of business today. While it’s still far too early to make precise predictions about Spider-Man: Far From Home’s eventual box office totals, it’s already abundantly clear this final installment of Marvel’s Phase Four in their super-shared cinematic universe is likely on course for a $1 billion global cume.

Btw, Marvel probably released that bit of "news" to drive up attendance.

It did 600 million worldwide in week one.

It will break $1 billion before it leaves theatres.

Just like Endgame will beat Avatar. And pigs will fly.

why would sony pull out? haven't they been making more money with disney than without?
did amazing spiderman do that good??

Not after a 75% drop this weekend and then exponentially less as the weeks go on

They wouldn’t and they aren’t.

Article is just clickbait.

I wish Spiderman would escape Sony

You overestimate the power of Rotten Tomatoes and random youtubers.

>Aquaman won't make 1b
>Captain Marvel won't make 1b
>Spider-man won't make 1b

Why can't Yea Forums just go "I think it might" or "I hope it doesn't" or say what they really think or feel, because clearly no one here is smart enough to actually do the projections and math on this shit

>Trusting Ben Pearson

You underestimate the loyalty of the MCU.

Clickbait

Don’t care.

>Sony can't help but snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
those jews just can't learn...

You should. Spider-Man Far From Home is one of the best movies of the year! Second only to Endgame and Captain Marvel!

If Sony takes Spider-Man they will literally rape and ruin.

Spider-Man BELONGS at home.

>6-day holiday US release
>Out for 10 days in China
we'll see

>Spidey: But I want to stay here with my family!
>SonySuit1: Nein, Mista Spinne-Mann! Deinnen Mouse has failed! Zey did not give us enough Marks! Now it ist over! No more crossover!
>Spidey: Can’t you give them another chance?! Besides, aren’t there more important things than money?
>Sonysuit1: NEIN! NEIN! NEIN! NEIN! Money ist all that iz important!! Right, Adolf?
>SonySuit2: Ya, Hans. I kan't vait to make the Venom/Spider-Mann crossover and silver sable movie! Then Maximum Carnage and Trouble!
>SonySuit1: Meinen Schnitzel is so hard!
>SonySuit2: Don't forget the skateboarding und dubstep! Sieg Hiel!!!

Why doesn’t someone do the world a favor and burn Sony to the ground?

It has a lot of hype and marketing

There wasn't much to talk about anyway. The ending kind of sucked too.

>Venom
>Bad

It's basically the epilogue to Endgame

Its sonys trap card

How is sony literally the only guy dabbing on fucking disney, and consistently at that?

It's trash

This movie is great and I feel like no one even knows it's out. That said, I saw it today, a Tuesday, at 4 in the afternoon and my theater was actually packed. So I think it might be doing just fine. I thought it was fantastic though and am really glad they did one of my absolute favorite comic book villains justice. Jake Gyllenhaal killed it.

Far From Home is tame. It's also hot off the heels of Spiderverse, a Sony-funded iteration far better than anything MCU's shit out.

Cringe

And go to whom? Disney? They're clearly not doing anything good with it, either. The only good Spidey media in the past decade have been Spiderverse, Spectacular Spider-Man (killed by Disney), and bits and pieces of the PS4 game.

Pouring on the syrup on a little too thick there, intern.

REIMI

Seething cucks

>>DUDE THE MID CREDITS SCENE IS GONNA BLOW YOUR MIND
>Movie is out, nobody cares, they ruined the perfect casting

Spider verse is over rated! Cartoons are for Boring! Sony should just give the rights over to actual Marvel. At least they can make competent superhero movies.

Add
>endgame won't beat avatar
/TV is literally always wrong

This.

+1 internets to you.

but this is right, against all odds and media shilling

Yup!

Superhero Cartoons are never better than live action superhero movies.

Fuck Disney

Nah, I genuinely liked it. Mysterio is just a cool ass villain to me and they cast the role well. It was a fun movie.

Pathetic, isn't it.

this right here.
this is why marvel has only made 20 or so movies in the last ten years non stop cuz they dont stand and always fall flat
