What’s funny is all the little changes lock them out from basically every single manga plotline. As the main reason salem wanted the tuned program was to track down nova. So unless nova hires her to find himself and bring himself back to salem, yea...
They also can’t do berserker zapan because they locked berserker tech to URM technology and let alita keep the berserker body (plasma arc) for motorball. So movie zapan would need to find a micro-antimatter heart and another berserker body. Which would, of course, defeat the entire idea behind berserker zapan.
But hey, the movie was pretty thorough in how it completely dismantled literally everything about the manga.
