Have you watched it?
I watched it as a kid when it was airing and it scared the shit out of me. Just seen it's now on Amazon prime so tempted to binge through all 11 seasons but I don't know if it's going to be a lot worse than I remember
>fuck this self-inserting faggot
>fuck OP too because he's faggot too
PS
>fuck Darin Morgan again with his retard brother too
Theres also two movies.
>all 11 season
user there are only 9 seasons (technically just 7)
Most of the mythology episodes have dated badly except for the first few seasons where they were still interesting and could be enjoyed as stand-alone stories that still hinted at something, but the Monster of the Week episodes have aged much better. The appeal in the first two seasons was that the monster episodes felt like mini-horror movies that just happened to have recurring characters, after that they became a bit too self-aware. This wasn't a problem at first because Darin Morgan's comedy episodes were brilliant, but later writers tried to copy him so badly it got stale. There are just so many 'deconstructive' comedy and dramatic episodes whose only point is MULDER MAN BAD you can take before you wonder what the point of the show was anymore (No wonder Duchovny wanted out as early as Season 5). Still, check out the Monster episodes first when revisiting.
Still, you can't beat the first four seasons, warts and all. Even when they moved the filming to California in Season 6 and lost a lot of the atmosphere it was still watchable. I'd say Season 9 (which was the last of the original run anyway) was the only truly bad season.
Quads have never been so wrong.
I don't recommend rewatching it. The first few seasons retain the novelty, but the formula wears off fast.
I did exactly what you mentioned and regret it.
>the only truly bad season.
Even then it had it's moments in the standalones.
user, watch nine seasons and both movies, ending with the 2nd movie for a nice peaceful resolution.
>MULDER MAN BAD
Ugh. You're right. I rewatched a bunch of the comedy episodes from S4-7 and practically all of them were the same ''Mulder is a stupid autist wasting his life'' joke over and over again.
watched a dozen of the early episodes.
going in I thought It would be a mind fuck leaving you unsure of what you saw being extraterrestrial/paranormal or just coincidence.
instead every episode mulder gets to see his "truth" while Scully's off taking a shit so it's never confirmed.
Was the Blu-Ray remaster any good?
I've heard it's one of those cases where it actually works.
Don't watch the latest seasons, it's pozzed.
10 was alright.
11 is just depressing, I mean it's okay but the finale is pathetic and retcons and ruins.
It's great, and the version on Amazon is the HD restoration which looks great.
Only the first one is any good tho
I think the 2nd works as a better bookend to the series than S10 & S11.
The Mandela Effect episode had it's moments even with the Trump-bashing, but ultimately didn't say anything Jose Chung already did (I guess that was why it was weak). I also liked the Mr. Chuckleteeth episode, lame as the resolution was.
The one based on the Tay AI incident was so stupid I legit thought I dreamed it the next morning. It is kind of amusing I guess that /pol/ technically got to be X-Files Monsters of the Week.
The retcons were the worst part though, politics aside. That's the kind of shit writing which is why normies look down on science fiction. As fun as it was seeing everyone back, I really hope the franchise is at it's end. Hell, the Were-Monster episode felt like a better conclusion to the series than anything else.
Thing is they went into the last season knowing it would likely be the very last throw of the dice, and still didn't give it a good ending.
There was an awful line of dialogue (I think it was Mulder's), it was so cringe, something like: "It's hard to believe that in [curren year] someone would still hide his homosexuality". That thing came out of nowhere.
The main Characters do get some good exposition in movie 2 but the plot is baaaad.
If OP manages to get through season 9 he'll be a marine that can take anything.
The real question is, should anyone bother with Millennium and The Lone Gunmen?
Milenium is a great show.
TLG is okay if you enjoy those characters but shouldn't be seen in the same light.
I dont remember that. Just the gay swinger jumping on fox's cock
Thanks
Season 11 is anti-Trump shit, so, no.
No its not. Just one line and its literally a fact, "the white house and the fbi arent getting along".
it progressively gets generally less good with each season
with s7 being not good but having a few good episodes, s8 being pretty bad, and s9 being garbage. NOTE that doesn't mean there isn't good monster of the week episodes in these seasons
didn't watch 10 or 11
it's also so clear that they had no fucking clue where they were going with the aliens and never actually figured it out during the run
Millennium, despite some really repetitive serial killer plots in the first season and half-assed twists in S2, is excellent. Some of the best episodes of 90s genre TV.
Lone Gunmen is only worth watching for the meme-famous pilot. Harsh Realm isn't worth watching period.
Dont bother with 10 & 11.
They add nothing, ruin Reyes and based Dogget wisely doesn't appear.
There's also the alien who literally quotes Trump in "The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat" (but I enjoyed the episode in general)
Reyes was already an open sore...poor dogget. Maybe he finally [/spoiler]took the promotion
The website that I was watching it from seems to have disappeared think I was on the episode called syzygy
from the first three seasons I'd say it still holds up the one with the "magic" cockroachs is amazing with Sully taking a backseat the entire episode then showing up at the very end being jealous of the female doc that was mooning on Mulder
I dont remember a single Alien in the new seasons.
He was the only good thing about season 7 and forth. His back story about his lost son was quite interesting.
Watch the first 4-5 seasons, then just pretend the series ended there.
Yep, "Release" is the best episode of Season 9, and a standout of the run entire.
It was quite bad how they turned Scully from a non-believer to a "let's believe in everything". Ofc she was abducted and got pregnant by an alien, but she was like Doggett some day so it's not that hard to understand him. On the other hand, Reyes was just terrible. I'm sure she'd be an antivaxxer nowadays.
my favorite episode is the episode with the guy who played Raymonds dad on Everybody loves Raymond. He's a sort of a mind reader or something. I forgot. I think he can predict the future or how a person dies. Funny episode.
ive seen every episode up until the new season.
my strategy is just waiting for it to finish and buying the bluray box set.
id rather not give the commercial network TV niggers any ad revenue.
Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose. It deservedly won an Emmy.
A fantastic episode of television, even if you don't care for TXF in general.
The blu rays look good
I stop with season 6 (which isn't all that great either). Show goes downhill after that.
