also, has anyone watched the anime Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (and it's sequel seasons)?
I found Dark to have very strong similarities
>set in small town
>town seems normal but has a seedy underbelly, everyone has secrets
>they're stuck in a time loop
>at the end of each cycle, a catastrophe happens
>characters are trying to break free from said time loop
I already spoiled a bit for you in there but I recommend it if you'd like to watch something similar to dark.

also, something that I find pleasant so far is that despite being set in Germany and in different times in Germany history, no le evil Nazi boogeyman bullshit has been used yet. This is also the advantage of not being too Americanized. you JUST KNOW Americans would have shoehorned the Nazis being behind everything by now. I hope they dun't goof next season

watched the first season. Not one likable character in that show. it fucking starts with the MC bashing a dead girl's skull in with a bat. Didn't understand the plot even at the end. dropped it

I think it is until the second season that they explain wtf is going on and why is everyone acting insane
