First for Lord Ramsay Bolton Lord of the Dreadfort & Winterfell, Warden of the North and Lord Paramount of the North.

Attached: ramsaypng.jpg (1300x649, 48K)

Also, fuck the prequels. I want the fucking books already and a proper reboot afterwards.

Proper reboot won't hapoen for 20-30 years, HBO will want to cash in on the nostalgia which I imagine will be alot with all the normalfags that got into the show in the later seasons.

Fucking hell even for seasons 2-4 the hype was real for the show.

Reminder that in the books Stannis dies under the walls of Winterfell.
And Jon is exiled from the realm forever.
The iron throne belongs to King Bran.

>one of the only characters not ruined by the finale
>mogs all the other actresses by being 6ft 3in
>character is actually respectful unlike that whore sansa

Attached: j9t5g6izu4q21.jpg (861x1200, 216K)

I think without at least Winds of Winter (better yet, Dream of Spring), there is no point to reboot the show. It will just be another failed fan fiction or proper adaptation of AFFC & ADWD only for it to end in a massive cliffhanger. It's all on George now.

>above average writers
D&D did a good job copy pasting the books, its not hard to copy paste the game story

Show me the fucking book notes GRRM then we can talk.
Even /got/ didn't have an infinite budget, but dark souls/bourne could be good.

Attached: 1561034895516.png (1760x1344, 719K)

>above average writers
Don't even try it. This Jane Goldman, I never heard about besides some capeshit films. They are probably going to rope GRRM for the first season, then ditch him like D&D did in the original show.
Best case scenario, we will get one kino season than the rest will be as shitty as late season GoT.

Attached: 59aebf8e79bbfd22008b802a-750-563.jpg (750x563, 48K)

>Even /got/ didn't have an infinite budget
HBO offered D&D infinite budget and more Seasons but they refused it

This title just reminds me of Elder Scrolls: Morrowind

>HBO offered D&D infinite budget and more Seasons but they refused it
They did offer 10 seasons. I think it's a better idea.
>S5 & S6 (AFFC + ADWD)
>S7 & S8 (TWOW outline)
>S9 & S10 (ADOS outline)
The whole 'we are afraid viewers got bored' is bullshit. The show rating keep going up. I am afraid it's all pointless now, the milk is spoiled. I don't care about the prequels either. Fuck them.

I just want some more comfy Dunk & Egg.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Winds_of_Winter

>The Winds of Winter will take readers farther north than any of the previous books, and the Others will appear in the book.[3] The previous installment, A Dance with Dragons, covered less story than Martin intended, excluding at least one planned large battle sequence and leaving several character threads ending in cliffhangers.[4]
>Martin intends to resolve these storylines "very early" in The Winds of Winter, saying "I'm going to open with the two big battles that I was building up to, the battle in the ice and the battle at Meereen — the battle of Slaver's Bay. And then take it from there."[3]
>A Victarion Greyjoy chapter will begin five minutes after the end of A Dance with Dragons, taking place on the eve of the Ironborn's arrival in Slaver's Bay.[5] Arianne Martell sample chapters that Martin released on his Web site showed her heading for Griffin's Roost to see the young man who is calling himself Aegon.[6][7]
>At Guadalajara International Book Fair 2016, Martin gave some clues about the dark nature of The Winds of Winter: ... "I've been telling you for 20 years that winter was coming. Winter is the time when things die, and cold and ice and darkness fill the world, so this is not going to be the happy feel-good that people may be hoping for. Some of the characters [are] in very dark places. .... Things get worse before they get better, so things are getting worse for a lot of people."

Will he finally get it published?

Attached: Melitrueform.jpg (768x467, 106K)

>things are getting worse for a lot of people."
Should've added the caveat: EXCEPT MY MARY SUE STARK FAVOURITES, THEY'RE GONNA DO GREAT :DDD

Attached: grease dripped down his chin.jpg (645x729, 124K)

More seasons yes, "infinite budget," no.

>EXCEPT MY MARY SUE STARK FAVOURITES, THEY'RE GONNA DO GREAT :DDD
Yeah, so long as they are not Ned & Robb.
Or Rickon the irrelevant for that matter.

>Battle at mereen
Huh? What's happening over there?
I'm probably gonna have to read adwd again

I doubt it, they're all gonna go dark most likely, especially jon

>Barristan is preparing for defense against the slave masters invasion
>Victarion arrives there, possibly trying to either court Dany or steal the dragons
>Tyrion & Jorah is joining a sell sword company and have them betray the slavers and join/rejoin Dany
>Dany & Drogon is MIA, unlikely to join, But who knows.

I need that pic of Jon Snow stabbing the guy in Battle of the Bastards

Preferably the lens flare eyes one

Yet not fall into it so much that they can't, don't or won't come back from it better and stronger than before, unlike others

Attached: 1562024509765.jpg (500x500, 28K)

>gonna go dark
yeah but that's epic and badass #slay

I mean the Starks are in dark place already. Arya stuck among a bunch of shady assassins, Sansa is in the clutch of Littlefinger, Rickon is around the cannibal tribes, Bran may or may not just consume Jojen, Jon is fucking dead. How dark can this fat bastard go without killing them or outright character assassination like what happened to the show?

>High Sparrow was marginally an insult and malign HS
>HG adopts the title as his own

Based

I highly doubt that'll happen that way with her, goes against the foreshadowing, setup, and character logic and what George said the series was about

The biggest cuck in fiction.

Attached: d6lT5lJ.jpg (1920x5400, 1.15M)

s8 Jon is not canon

George came up with this ending in 1991, at this point he doesn't care anymore

I expect Sansa will struggle with littlefinger before finally defeating him, and Jon will be a nihilistic killing machine after he gets revived and struggling with his humanity. I got no idea how George is gonna get Arya back home though I don't even think he does

He did get way off track but even in 1991 ending the long night is the climax

>Jon will be a nihilistic killing machine after he gets revived
Absolutely based, i liked BotB Jon

Jon isn't too bad in season 7 but him becoming a pacifist was pretty retarded

S6 Jon isn't full on nihilistic. He still care about Sansa and Rickon. At best he is nihilistic for episode 3 only.

Attached: BasedDrogon.jpg (1276x1500, 60K)

bookfag question but why were the Westerlings forgiven for marrying their daughter off to a rebel king?
They kinda just went, oh ok shes not pregnant, we'll forget all about your betrayal of your liege lord

But he was absolutely motivated in the battle itself

Honestly I feel sad about the fate of the show. Dany while still being well acted had a more sudden heel turn then superstars in WWE

Jon taking a backseat and just mosy blindly following Dany was pleby as fuck too

In the books he'll obviously still love his family but he'll be in a more fuck the world mindset, not like the show where he's just a good guy

The original outline is pretty wacky compared to what we got.
>Jaime is Cersei
>Joff impregnate Sansa
>Bran ended up being enemy with Jon
>Jon x Arya x Tyrion love triangle
>Robb BTFO-ing Joffrey in battle
But yeah, overall the basic plot is there with a few tweaks
>Cersei will kill everyone in KL (replacing Jaime)
>Jon's parentage will be revealed
>Tyrion turn against his family
>Dany will land on Westeros with her Dothrakis
>Will lead into her fighting against Cersei or Aegon (fake or real) and possibly Jon & Bran.
>All will team up in the end in a battle for survival against the Others/White Walkers.

Attached: OutlineOriginal.jpg (1798x798, 624K)

Obviously. He just watched his half brother getting killed by the guy who rape his half sister.
Probably.
The show should just drop evil Dany arc. No way they can do it justice in just 6 episodes. Hell they should make 7 & 8 10 episodes each about the great war against both Cersei & the white walkers.

sybell was in constant contact with tywin throughout the ordeal

i'm still sad that qyburn died

>Will lead into her fighting against Cersei or Aegon (fake or real) and possibly Jon & Bran.
Dany would never fight Jon. It's called a betrayal for a reason. He is her dream lover and murderer (unfortunately).

Attached: 1561315428953.png (549x398, 327K)

i've heard people say this but i cant get if its
>tywin specifically told them 'let them into your castle, get your daughter to fuck him and ruin the alliance with the freys' which is some 4d keikaku shit
or
>she messages tywin saying 'holy shit Robbs here and my dumb cunt of a daughter has gotten knocked up by him, please dont kill us we're still loyal i swear'

probably two, number one would be an extremely contrived plan

Sansa beating Littlefinger is a given. I expect the giant figure seen in Bran's vision is actually Baelish. Sansa supposedly prophesied to slay a giant as well, so I'd say LF is going down. Hopefully the execution will be better than the show, because for the most part it feels like Bran's victory rather than Sansa.

I am not sure about Arya too. Her story feels so unconnected with the rest of the stories. I expect an assassination contract or perhaps she will just left the Faceless Man just like the show.

/ourguy/burn

Attached: file.png (1920x1080, 3.01M)

Based. Targshits must be turned into kneelers.

yeah thats what i thought
but then that would mean they didnt want Jayne to get knocked up by Robb
so why were they letting their daughter cozy up to injured robb and fuck him in the first place?

I'm trying to think of a situation where a guy brings his army to your castle during an invasion, occupies it, and then you just let your daughter go and see him in his chambers

It was completely bran's victory, Sansa was gonna kill Arya before she went to bran, bran didn't bother doing anything until she went to him either. The show is so stupid

Well, it'll be better than the show because there's a lot of more executed conflict of Sansa being the court-politics oriented Stark who must best their political court oriented antagonist which was Littlefinger. Everything happened because of him.

It's stupid because nobody trusts LF in the show and yet he manipulates people? Literally how?

D&D's idea of a manipulating schemer is a mustache twirling creep who skulks in the shadows and has an ominous voice, cause they're literal retards

Attached: whip.jpg (700x502, 25K)

because he makes gold happen
people like gold
its not really explained well enough in the show but LF really understands the less scrupulous side of economics and is a useful guy to have around because he can make things happen for you.
also remember most of the people discussing lf in the show fucking hate him, so they're a bit biased

This is perfect. Just needs a redhead loli behind him.

>"three fires must you light... one for life and one for death and one to love... three mounts must you ride... one to bed and one to dread and one to love... three treasons will you know... once for blood and once for gold and once for love..."
I wonder who is who.

The bed to dread is probably euron

It's Drogon.

I'm guessing Hizdar and these mounts are marriage related

ASoIaF/GoT is trash.

Why did all prophecies suddenly not matter in s8, well except for Arya killing someone with blue eyes

There's a ton of foreshadowing of her marrying or being involved with euron, he's daario on steroids if not actually is the same guy

AAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH
NO WAIT ARYA COME BACK

Attached: AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH.png (981x918, 936K)

How is she supposed to marry Euron AND have a love affair with Jon within the span of two books? She hasn't even left Essos yet.

I doubt the books are gonna be finished and needs to be more than 2, but I think she turns away from euron after fire and blood results in Kings landing blowing up, either kills him or he leaves her, then she and Jon fight the others

Post Qyburn tech.

I met Nikolaj Coster-Waldau at a restaurant once - we’d accidentally been given his table. Apparently he was fond of the restaurant and had a specific table he liked, and the management had messed up and gotten their days wrong, (it was Tuesday and they thought he was coming on Thursday or something like that). Anyway, the manager, completely embarrassed (this is a pretty nice restaurant) comes by and says “I’m so sorry, but we’d like to move you to another table if you could be troubled, and we’ll gladly compensate you for the cost of the meal and any other meal you’d like while you’re in town.” My sister and cousin were both like “Yeah that’s cool.” and I kind of played the asshole a bit. “I’m sorry, I just don’t understand. We’ve been here for 15 minutes - we’ve just ordered. Can’t we finish our meal here?” Then out of nowhere Nikolaj Coster-Waldau shows up next to the manager and says “Paul, these guys can finish. We’ll be at the bar. I got some time.” And I (being a big GoT fan) said “Oh wow, uh… I had no idea. Please feel free to give them the table.” Nikolaj was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then gave me a card with his number on it and told me to give him a call later. After working up the nerve, I gave him a call that night, and to make a long story short, we had a glorious 11 month love affair, man on man, that I shall never forget. Our bodies intertwined as one, and from the beauty of Morocco, to the French Riviera, to the snorkeling in the Galopagos, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and I made glorious gay love to each other on six of the seven continents.

Lies, NCW wouldnt go to a resturant without Gwendoline

I need to put a pic of Qyburn on it, but the text is:
>"Lady Brienne, I hear you are going after Stannis Baratheon, allow me to gift you this specially crafted suit of armour, designed so its material is reflective, saving you from Stannis' Baratheon Laser eyes, should you come across him"

Attached: 1561847550153.jpg (900x1440, 290K)

>and then you just let your daughter go and see him in his chambers
kinda as an token offering I guess, "please don't burn our lands, look how nice we are"

Holyshit is that real

>TV show ended so badly even the good seasons are retroactively ruined
>most recent book came out almost a decade ago
>final book has zero chance of being released before the fat man dies
>prequel novella series is incomplete
>prequel history book series is incomplete
>spin off TV show doesn't come out for two years, has zero hype, and will be competing against a bunch of other fantasy shows

Nice franchise you've got there, George

Attached: 1557025594270.png (1280x720, 651K)

Bloodmoon can’t work if they don’t retcon GoT season 8 episode 3. Or set it in book continuity but that won’t happen. It will be pointless to set up an enemy that ended up being a fake out and a joke.

>thinking its not real

Of course its real

Attached: Intimidating Manlets.gif (360x360, 3.98M)

It's many layers of a very thin, very light cloth

It looks shopped when it's flapping about like that, but it's very real.

Has ever a season remake ever done? HBO could get some marketing out of this if they decide to do it

It could work if they publicly denounce game of thrones and d&d's ending

Kills his beloved wife, and does not even fall on his sword right after. Instead he goes to the north.

Even amidst the horrible script of GoT, its moronic.

It hurts bros

>Ned Stark's bastard.
>Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, the organisation founded to counter the threats from beyond the Wall.
>Heavily hinted at being Azor Ahai reborn, the champion of fire against the White Walkers.
>Murdered by his own men in a mutiny.
>Resurrected by Melisandre, the Red Witch.
>"They think you're some kind of god, the man who returned from the dead."
>Not actually Ned Stark's bastard, but Aegon Targaryen, the legitimate son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark.
>A.K.A The Song of Ice and Fire.
>Retakes Winterfell from the Boltons, avenging the Starks.
>Becomes King in the North despite his status as a bastard.
>Spends a whole season on Dragonstone trying to convince Daenerys Targaryen to be his ally.
>Immediately renounces his crown because "she's muh queen".
>During the "Long Night", does absolutely nothing, isn't even allowed to have a 1-on-1 fight with the Night King.
>Instead of showing his growth as a warrior by fighting and slaying Viseryon (like Aragorn fights a troll 1-on-1 in RotK), is instead content with just shouting at it and dying.
>Has his kill stolen by his cringey little sister.
>The rest of his dialogue is either "I don't want it" or "You're my queen".
>Kills his waifu and love of his life because a imp in the deathblock demanded him to in the most emotionless and boring "shock" scene in GoT.
>Isn't even considered for the throne, despite everyone knowing that he's a legitimate candidate.
>Rejoins the Night's Watch despite the only person who wants him exiled leaving the continent forever.
>Maybe becomes King-Beyond-the-Wall.

Is it going to still have the GOT late medieval setting, or is it going to be more bronze age or neolithic, considering it is about the first men?

probably a mix of both depending on whatever's convenient

should I rewatch GoT or is it pointless now that I know it's all about nothing?

Attached: 764865864.jpg (1777x973, 144K)

early GoT is so comfy

Attached: 7546536434.jpg (1589x844, 270K)

and the dialogue is good

Attached: 873658732857.jpg (1280x720, 395K)

>it's all about nothing?

It really is. Fuck GRRM and fuck nihilism. Atheism is a disease.

>game of thrones "the terror" edition
comfy

You mean the icy cock thing? Or Euron with a woman with fire in her hands. Not enough time for that and Jon even if it's three books. Euron wanting her means he probably won't get her, just like Quentyn, Victarion is gonna ruin it too

It's gotta be Drogo, Hizdar and Jon

quarth looked good, too bad they didn't have more money to show it

Attached: 7435754354.jpg (1280x720, 128K)

I don’t think Hizdar fits any of her visions though

>>Maybe becomes King-Beyond-the-Wall.
Not happening because there's no need for it. There's only a King Beyond the Wall when Wildlings want to invade, no invasion, no king, they'll all do their own thing

detailed set designs in general were really good

Attached: 8375837682.jpg (1777x999, 296K)

Why did all the color disappeared?

Bleuodmoeun?

>Her silver was trotting through the grass, to a darkling stream beneath a sea of stars. A corpse stood at the prow of a ship, eyes bright in his dead face, grey lips smiling sadly. A blue flower grew from a chink in a wall of ice, and filled the air with sweetness.
Seems like drogo, euron, jon

All my friends think she's one of the hottest in the series, I just don't understand it.

Attached: Myranda-S4.jpg (320x480, 54K)

I don’t know about the second one, other than the ship it doesn’t sound like Euron. It doesn’t seem like Hizdar, Daario, or Victorian either

I remember reading theories that the corpse was theon but that doesnt fit well with the over narrative. If we're being pedantic, Euron only has one eye. And the three parts of that dont have to all be about lovers? Jon is the most obvious one, but her horse doesnt necessarily have to represent drogo, but fuck if I know what else it could mean
>none of this matters because we'll never get a conclusion anywags

>wake up
>you are the Hand of the King to Aerys II as Jon Arryn is calling his banners
How do you win the civil war, /got/?

Attached: D9gVgcbXkAAqtib.jpg large.jpg (473x675, 41K)

black pleather costumes dark camera filter usually mean that shit is supposedly "dark" and "serious" now unlike before

Attached: 86476456366.jpg (1500x999, 255K)

I'm not sure how much The Hand can do at that point. The way it's framed is that it all pretty much came down to one decisive battle and everything else was pre-determined. Just get better generals I guess.

tasteful petite body and unwavering jealous devotion to her man

Well the horse under the stars near a stream is similar to Dany’s wedding night with Drogo, so that’s why people associate it with him. Plus those prophecies are coupled with the “bride of fire” line which suggests it’s her husbands/lovers

Assuming that the show doesn't flop and get canned after 2 seasons, I wonder if they'll shoehorn in some kind of explanation for why the White Walkers were so much shittier the second time around.

Otherwise it'll just be canon that the Night King was simply a loser who couldn't do anything even after having 8000 years of prep time.

SEVEN HELLS shes fugly

more great shots

Attached: 74687468.jpg (1503x1000, 295K)

Euron has both eyes, he wears a patch over his "black eye shining with malice", and leaves his "summer eye" exposed

>we will never get Fire and Blood part II
>we will never get a proper telling of the first Blackfyre rebellion
>we will never find out what happened at Summerhall

dany being aesthetic when danyfags didn't exist

Attached: 862583758232.jpg (1502x1000, 114K)

>black eye shining with malice
literally anime tier

It fits euron better than anyone, he's her daario war mindset taken to the furthest extreme, he's just her type, Victarion is certainly gonna die probably by blowing himself up with the dragon horn

To dread he does. Drogo is to bed because she has to marry and fuck him as part of Viserys' deal through Illyrio for the Dothraki, she must become his queen. To dread, Dany doesn't want to narry Hizdar, wanted to keep fucking Daario, Hizdar doesn't hit it right, she'll never love him, but has to make herself go through with it. Jon she'll probably fall for before wedding and bedding

So she'll get married 4 times? George is a hack, what was the point of Hizdar then? How is he gonna wrap that one up? And does this mean Euron and the Silence survive unscathed and sail to her? George really is a creep, how many sex scenes with how many different men with Dany does he need to get off?

they hit peak aesthetics in early season 4 with joff's wedding and the following episodes

Attached: 2376832762.jpg (1142x720, 125K)

Who cares bro it's cool, euron is supposed to be over the top, better than "finger in the bum" show shit

It could work but it won’t happen because HBO owns the rights to both shows obviously
8000 years and can’t even achieve what Theon and twenty good men could do

those statues are hotter than anything else on the show

I'm not complaining, the show should have taken more anime shit from the books

The corpse is Aerion, read The zForsaken chapter of TWOW

Hizdahr will probably be executed which will obviously void the marriage

Based

Meera was a qt but Kinvara was the finest

All the money went on the dragons

Well that's not good for Dany's image. Still wondering what the point is though husband wise if he's not even important enough to factor into prophecy. Both Drogo and Euron are "fire abd blood" type dudes, would've been more interesting with Hizdhar as the planting trees husband and Jon as a balance

this shot is way too kino to be in the same show that has D&D in it

I'm still mad bran was a dick to her

For me, it's House Velaryon

Attached: 1464571691231.jpg (1024x1365, 363K)

Hizdahr might represent peace but he's not a good dude whatsoever like Jon is, barristan might even kill him before Dany gets there, probably not but maybe. I don't see any point to his character for her story other than he gets executed or the marriage gets annulled and she leaves, she's obviously not sticking around mereen

some long distance shots of mereen are really good

Attached: 478647262.jpg (1777x999, 281K)

it's a known fact that the show went beyond trash in season 5 but the aesthetics didn't decline until season 7

Attached: 32737463274.jpg (1777x999, 252K)

nice way for Arya to get home would be that her target is Sansa as paid for by Littlefinger.

no, tru patricians are like roose bolton and know that fat and ugly women make the best wives

Attached: best waifu.jpg (717x1000, 77K)

the venetian look of braavos was really good

Attached: 87528762837.jpg (853x480, 51K)

because the writing was so shit, it's easy to forget the kino shots

Attached: 876876876.jpg (938x691, 54K)

>all this was for nothing but killing the freys

Attached: 1478288858001.jpg (231x250, 10K)

even the erotic scenes were full of color, although daario should be even more colorful

Attached: 4957986222.jpg (1777x995, 265K)

>when it was still acceptable for a man to be on top instead of a woman in a sex scene

>Jorah and Daario cone to rescue Dany from Vaes Dothrak
>No wait, I have a plan.
>her plan consists of setting fire to the temple with her insides
>Khals die incidentally
>Jorah and Daario do nothing but gawk at her naked body

Season 6 writing at its finest.

in some alternative universe arya stayed looking like this

Attached: 8735628375286.jpg (1118x629, 109K)

Well he doesn't need to he a good dude, just what he represents. Drogo would've raped, pillaged and enslaved Westeros, he meant war and death to get what Viserys wanted. Marrying Hizdhar means peace and compromise, planting trees, and going away from war, fire and death to get what Dany wants. Jon can be a balance using just enough war but also compromises

seasons 2-5 were nice looking and season 6 was decent as well but nothing beats the immense comfyness of season 1

You could be right if he ends up taking daario's role in the show and rules respecting her wishes, but she's already going down the path of fire and blood and she's gonna go for her throne and colliding with Aegon, which euron will probably be a part of

final comfy shot from pre-season 6 comfyness

Something to that effect. Basically they are afraid of stretching the story. I would agree if the final storyline is just one big battle ala Return of the Kings against the white walkers, but seeing so many plot lines still left unsolved and new plot lines introduced, I'd say they made the wrong decision.
White walkers should be the endgame. Mad Dany is just lame. King Bran has no build up whatsoever. Season 5 to 8 should be de-canonized for anyone with half a brain.

Dude looks like a dark souls boss, add some kraken shit and this is how euron's valyrian steel armor should have looked

A D&D original """"prophecy"""" that was originally about her becoming a faceless man, only for them to switch it around last minute to make her seem more important than she is.

>Watch Preston video
>He tries to argue the blue flower in the ice wall isn’t Jon Snow

What is wrong with him, is he that desperate to disprove R + L = J?

Kek. Really does. The title card looks like something for teen girls too. (Which is probably the audience they're going for anyways thanks to the Dany fanbase.)

New info from fat man:

1. Westeros is divided into roughly 100 kingdoms in the prequel. “We talk about the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros; there were Seven Kingdoms at the time of Aegon’s Conquest,” Martin says. “But if you go back further then there are nine kingdoms, and 12 kingdoms, and eventually you get back to where there are a hundred kingdoms — petty kingdoms — and that’s the era we’re talking about here.” The Seven Kingdoms maintained some degree of order (at least, until war broke out). So it sounds like Westeros could be even more dangerous and chaotic and lawless than it is in GoT — like Wild West Westeros.

2. There are Starks and direwolves. The pack survives. This should be obvious given the time period (the Starks were descended from the First Men), but in case there was any doubt Martin confirms the fan-favorite family is around. “The Starks will definitely be there,” he said. And while much has been made about the fact the prequel predates dragons, that doesn’t mean there won’t be other creatures. “Obviously the White Walkers are here — or as they’re called in my books, The Others — and that will be an aspect of it,” Martin says. “There are things like direwolves and mammoths.”

3. There will not be any Lannisters — at least not at first… The prequel predates the rise of the Lannister family, Martin says. But there is another family currently residing in the future Lannister homestead. “The Lannisters aren’t there yet, but Castlery Rock is certainly there; it’s like the Rock of Gibraltar,” he says. “It’s actually occupied by the Casterlys — for whom it’s still named after in the time of Game of Thrones.” The Casterlys were supposedly swindled from their homestead by Lann the Clever — who founded House Lannister — though it’s unclear if this tale will be told in the prequel.

>The Starks will definitely be there
Yeah guys GRRM don't have a favorite house at all

>the starks are descended from the first men
>set the prequel in a time before the first men
>"tHe StArKs aRe tHeRe aNyWaY"

>But if you go back further then there are nine kingdoms, and 12 kingdoms, and eventually you get back to where there are a hundred kingdoms —
Why not end the series with one united kingdom then seriously?

>Which is probably the audience they're going for anyways
That's what I thought too, especially since they keep talking about the show having strong female characters and a female showrunner.
"Bloodmoon" sounds like a witch/new age thing (which is a big thing among the wine aunt/cat lady audience), unlike "game of thrones" or "a song of ice and fire".

Well hopefully Lann the clever is in it, stuff like that would actually make it interesting

>can't into reading comprehension

4. It’s a true ensemble. HBO’s cast breakdown appeared to suggest the show might be led by a trio of female leads (Naomi Watts, Naomi Ackie, and Denise Gough). Asked about this, Martin said the prequel — like Game of Thrones — is more accurately described as an ensemble story. “I hesitate to use the word ‘lead,’” Martin says. “As you know for Game of Thrones, we never even nominated anybody for lead actress or lead actor [during awards season] until recently; it was always for supporting [categories] because the show is such an ensemble. I think that will be true for this show too. We don’t have leads so much as a large ensemble cast.”

5. The show might get a slightly different title than the one you’re expecting. The prequel is still officially untitled, Martin emphasizes. In the past, the author has suggested the title The Long Night. One behind-the-scenes factor that complicated this choice is that the third episode of Game of Thrones season 8 is also titled “The Long Night.” While The Long Night remains Martin’s preferred title, there is another similar possibility being considered. “I heard a suggestion that it could be called The Longest Night, which is a variant I wouldn’t mind,” he says. “That would be pretty good.”

While Martin has many projects in the works, including the prequel pilot, he notes he’s currently only writing one thing: the second volume of Fire & Blood, a history book of House Targaryen, one of the families from his series A Song of Ice and Fire.

THEY FUCKING RUINED IT WITH S08E03 SHORT NIGHT
FOR FUCK SAKE JUST MAKE A BOBBY BEBELLION SPIN OFF YOU FUCKIN JEW FUCKS

I've made it to the Long Night in my rewatch lads, lord give me strength

I agree that the rebellion would make a great mini-series, but I'm guessing committing to that would be a lot more expensive than the relatively low-level stuff in their more vaguely defined spin-offs.

The fat man actually has hope that HBO will do his universe justice lol. When will he learn

Nah, it can be compelling it just needs to be properly set up.

A Dream of Spring will never come out, so they can still be happy together. RIP Stannis.

Jews make a lot of good movies and tv though.

This series looks like its made for feminist and niggers. No thanks. Anything GOT related is dead to me

>actually wanting a "Show" where the only thing with even potential to be interesting would be the battles
reddit as fuck. le ebin battles are always gay as fuck and poorly made. especially the ones on GoT.

we already know everyone who lives and dies and who wins every battle and they can't even adapt it properly because jon connington was cut from GoT

bloodborne literally doesn't have a proper story

they cut way to much so they just stiched the rest together nonsensically. same with dark souls 2 and 3. they did the same with dark souls 1 but they got enough of the original vision done for it to still make sense

>"Show" where the only thing with even potential to be interesting would be the battles
That's not the case. Bobby's rebellion has plenty of interesting characters and interactions, it's just a massive war is the framing for it. Learn to read reddit.

Maybe in the past when good tv and movies were actually marketable. Now the only way to make money in media is to appeal to the lowest IQs.

"It is not a question of wanting. The throne is mine, as Robert's heir. That is law. After me, it must pass to my daughter, unless Selyse should finally give me a son. I am king. Wants do not enter into it. I have a duty to my daughter. To the realm. Even to Robert. He loved me but little, I know, yet he was my brother. The Lannister woman gave him horns and made a motley fool of him. She may have murdered him as well, as she murdered Jon Arryn and Ned Stark. For such crimes there must be justice. Starting with Cersei and her abominations. But only starting. I mean to scour that court clean. As Robert should have done after the Trident."

Why didn't Ramsay ever go after whoever poisoned Roose?

Means he’s Japanese

Why did Tywin try to have Tyrion executed as a ploy to get Jaime out of the Kingsguard, instead of going after the real killer of Joffrey?

The average SNL writer would have done season 8 better than D&D.
Either way, the murderer of his grandson walks free.

It was all set up. "Breaking the wheel" and associating with savages are signs that she has lost her mind. She even fell in love with a manlet, obviously not a sane individual.

Wait, so with Renly Dead and Stannis having fucked off up north

Who controlled Storms End?

I doubt Tywin shed any tears. Joff was a little shit, it was for the best that he got murdered. The stability of the realm is paramount and Tommen would be a much better king.

The blood moon rises once again.

In the book I believe Stannis has troops there, but Young Griff shows up to take it

Dany is never suggested to be insane, not once. She does do some harsh and even cruel things, but she’s never been insane.

So Bloodmoon is confirmed to be the prequel they will go with?

so since the books will never be finished that means stannis will stay alive

Stannis is the puppet of Melisandre, though. I don't know why that image leaves that part out.

Arm fat is from drinking. Thats why most modern women have disgusting arms, drinking and no house work to tone them

If The Winds of Winter comes out, Stannis is a goner.

Attached: 1562108036284.jpg (680x606, 95K)

but that's the thing, it never will. GRRM will just find more and more prequels and tv series and shit to do instead of writing that one thing he should

How far into the book will he die in

he just wrote on twitter he's been busy reading King novels. and he likes to take them slow.

I dunno. He's not making it to A Dream of Spring (not that will ever come out anyway).

Season five was the last season that looked real. This pics from 4 tho but whatever

S5 was the beginning of the decline

People still read Stephen King books?

There's lots of Harry Potter fans

When you think about it, any character who was wearing any form of metal armour had an extremely high chance of surviving The Long Night

Wights have what, claws? Knives at best? How is that going to get through plate steel?

Shitheads wearing leather or worse would have most likely died

Attached: Manlet of da norf.jpg (384x383, 49K)

>he didn't see knives piercing Jorah's plate armor

Thats because mormont craftmanship is bad

though for reals its extremely wierd how plate armour both works and doesnt work in the episode, but even i this fantasy, knives wouldnt be able to pierce it

Every time someone puts armor on the gods flip a coin.

he must wear giant lifts in the show

In all fairness, Gwen IS 6ft 3in and wears High Heels

Jorah would have encouraged Dany's genocide of the normies. He then would have murdered Jon and reclaimed his family sword.

Oh I didn't realize you were ESL and you don't even understand how your own sentences work. Carry on being retarded.

>DOOD ITS A SHOW WITH DRAGONS N SHIT AND ITS FANTASY AND YOU'RE COMPLAINING ABOUT KNIVES

Attached: 1559837892997.jpg (720x960, 129K)

Autism detected

dragons are magic, and as such have an in universe explanation of why they exist and do ridiculous things like breathe fire and fly and live for a hundred years

knives are just knives in game of thrones, and armour is just armour, unless specified otherwise (valyrian steel for instance). we even have in universe, in show examples of people trying to go through armour with metal weapons and failing miserably (jorah vs the dothraki, arya vs the hound). so yeh it is stupid

Are dragons modified wyverns through bloodmagic?

Attached: 1557602183290.jpg (1280x880, 254K)

Wights do not get tired or feel pain, fighting one would not be easy. You also have to consider how you are going to maintain a supply of food and protect your family. The Long Night lasted generations, you can't just outlast it. Also you are fucked if an Other shows up and you don't have a magic sword.

The episode user, not the named event

Attached: 6chjsucumyc21.jpg (800x450, 153K)

Dragons are wyverns + firewyrms combined with blood magic, maybe with some valyrian human genes there as well. Wyvern flight, firewyrm fire manipulation, human intelligence.

It’s not so bad if you stop when Stannis leaves the Wall in season five episode five. The next episode is the infamous Sand Snake episode so it’s the perfect point to mark the end of quality.

Do they ever explain how firewyrms are supposes to look like?

Oh, you are right then. All you would really need to worry about is getting tackled from behind and them gouging out your eyes or bashing your head in. Very survivable if you do not get surrounded.

nope
the assumption is that they're like big rock worms due to the creepy worms with human faces infesting balerion after he returned from valyria

So two fire and blood husbands, then the fourth husband overall kills her. George is shit. Glad I never bought the books. And Euron doesn't even really want Dany anyway, just her dragons. And yet another love interest before Jon, with only two books

>another Stark wankfest
Gee, thanks George

>taken mid-emote
You smell pretty toasty

Not having Lann the Clever would be a crime

So would falling back to a brick wall be a wise tactical decision?

Then you only have to worry about wights attacking you from the front, but then you would have no escape plan

No escape plan seems like a bad idea to me, just have a buddy watch your back.

okay guys, I just re-read all the books and now I'm going to rewatch seasons 1-6. book material stopped being adapted in season 5 but season 6 still had some elements from the books and the last two episodes of season 6 feel like much better ending than anything in season 7 or 8. if some user is bitching about book vs show details in explicit manner in upcoming threads then its me.

>if some user is bitching about book vs show details in explicit manner in upcoming threads then its me.
based, fight the good fight

Recently started my rewatch and read, the first 4 seasons are still spectacular, I'm ending my watch at S6, maybe S7 if I discount the Wight hunt and the means by which the Night King got Viserion.

What episode you on?
