It's a giallo, so basically it's like a murder mystery mixed with a bit of a slasher. It's fucking confusing but some parts of it are so cool it's worth it.

If you're willing to shell out a few dollars, another recommendation I have is Sexy Beast. It might be my favorite heist movie, but the bulk of the movie is just trying to get one old gangster to come out of retirement. But the heist is really fucking cool too. There's dream sequences, an avanlache, and generally just a lot of cool shit to entertain you.
P.S. the "sexy beast" of the title isn't who you think it is at first.
It's by the guy who did Under the Skin, so it shares that movie's technical competency but it's more...well, it's not lighthearted, but...upbeat, I guess?
