This is the only musical I've enjoyed besides sweeney todd. Are there any other good ones? I always thought they were just for gays.

Watch some Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly stuff. Most masculine musicals out there. Astaire/Rogers are kino too
Chicago is pretty good imo
city of stars.....are you shining just for me.....
Alan Jay Lerner
Vincente Minelli
Busby Berkely
Isn't this movie just Hollywood celebrating itself? Interest is -2/10 right now.

Nah, quite the opposite actually.
No. Only good one.
French ones are ALL trash. French "cinema" is garbage. Absolute garbage. Suck muslim cock, you shithole frogmen. You're all pedophiles too, so you're halfway to muslim lifestyle.

do you always go out of your way to seem like an ignorant jackass? the absolute state of you
OP here, this actually did look decent. Thanks for reminding me.

I think Phantom of the Opera with Gerard is good. Also the old Rogers and Hammerstein musicals like Oklahoma and sound of music are fun ones.
Greatest showman has the same songwriter except the songs in The Greatest Showman don't suck like they do in La La Land.

Les Miserables sucks because they sing every line of dialogue in the movie. It gets very grating.
Greatest Showman is the only musical I like, including Disney movies.
Greatest showman is not all singing and the songs make sense compared to Disney's nonsensical lyrics.
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg

what is it with people on this board confidently, openly admitting that they're plebs? I constantly see posts like this.
I liked Grease when I was younger
The Producers.
I can’t remember for the life of me, but my parents took me to that, the lion king and one other musical wherbethe big joke was that the narrator was extremely effiminateband the big joke was that the audience was supposed to think he was gay at the end. God I wish I could remember it.

I think The Book of Mormon is great but it's obviously not a movie so i listen to the soundtrack
The Blues Brothers isn't technically a musical but it should be
I too enjoy musicals no homo! Anna and the Apocalypse was pretty fun
How to succeed in business without really trying is good as well. If only for Robert Morse.
ignora all above, there are not good musicals outiside la la land, if you want something close that is a masterpiece watch the red shoes
God, this. Jacques Demy is so fucking based. Les demoiselles de rochefort is also insanely good, and Donkey Skin is pure unbridled kino.
I feel like Americans never were introduced to Demy and he flew under the radar, just more of a reason why his stuff is so insanely underrated.
you'd probably like hairspray. it's pretty funny.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Comfy movie and good music.
West Side Story has kinographic cinematography and direction.

Musicals are gay as fuck. Opera is where the shit is at.
