I unironically think Recess is 10/10 kids material. Something about the playground being a kingdom in itself was something endlessly fascinating to me when I was younger. Lots of great episodes, loved the one where they build a fort and then have to take it back from Lawson. Also the Mud Clod War episode where TJ has to save Gus from getting mud on his brand new duds for picture day. Fuck I love Recess. The Santa Claus episode made me cry

definitely agree, how they made such engaging episodes with only a playground (and to a lesser extent, classrooms) was kiddo kino. very imaginative writing. it gets my praise.
