I'd suggest you finish season 2 before dropping it. Even if you've decided the series isn't for you the setup with the Armenian money train is brilliantly haunting and the 2nd season finale is a good place to stop if it doesn't convince you to continue watching.

Yes. It keeps the style of the show despite going 16:9. There are a few shots where you can see camera equipment and so on, though. Still the best way to watch it today.

Yeah that's how I felt about it too. Maybe it was intentional, the anticlimax of what they're finally snagged on. It was still dissatisfying even if the plot itself developed into something really compelling

I started watching this and why is it so cartoony? I was expecting something like The Wire, but this is acted and written way too unrealistic. Will it get better? I only made it a few eps into season 1.

It’s like Spartacus where you have to wait three episodes before it starts getting kino. Except for the shield you have to watch all six seasons before the kino payoff in season 7.
