whats the point then?

It's Based Disney it will obviously be glowing praise

Reception:
>Mixed with any criticism aimed at Favreau's direction, rather than that it's a soulless CGI remake. Cast will be praised despite being medicore.

Actual quality:
>Terrible. Lifeless, soulless, pointless. Will make Aladdin look well made and worth watching.

Audience reception:
>Will make a billion at least.

So now we reached the Disney remaking the Classics in Live Action/CGI
How many years until they Remaking them again but back to Hand Draw animation?

absolutely based

Cast looks good. Only issue is Scar's look and that can be overlooked if he is done well. Also
>Complaining black people voice African animals

Lol. White people voice animals too.

>Cast will be praised despite being medicore.
Cast is not even important there. Every each country will have own voice over, as they do with pretty much every kids movie. It's the only element that will change for every market.

English speaking countries are the only ones that matter.

I hate that they didn't bring back Jeremy Irons because he was white. They could have easily gotten away with it among the woke crowd that this film is targeted towards because the villain being a evil white chimes well with them.

Not really. Usually 70% of blockbusters audience isn't. That's why they have to translate into +/-60 languages.

Is CURRENT YEAR guy Jewish

Also I'm sure Rowan Atkinson would have been happy to reprise his role as Zazu but he's not the meme of the moment. I'm surprised James Corden doesn't have a role in this zoomerfest.

Everyone will think it's shit compared to the original movie, but it'll still make a billion dollars because people are stupid.

Will other languages also use black voice actors for some reason?

Mufasa will be vegan

>Usually 70% of blockbusters audience isn't.
Lol no. English speaking countries usually make up 60%+ of the gross revenue take for children films before you even factor in the higher profit margins on US tickets. The next biggest will be spanish or french, which usually take 10% or less each and with Mandarin doing maybe 5% and the rest being a handful pennies per language.
This is why the English version has a cast of A listers, while the non-English dubs are done by nobodies for half a sandwich.

Not when it comes to box office

Powerful!

CONVIC MUSICCC. UP FRONT.

>Seth Rogen
>no whoopie or cheech

>animals are played by black voice actors because Africa
What do Americans think about this? As a non American this shit is silly.

If a black woman can play a Danish mermaid, why can't a white person play an African lion?

I'm more surprised they didn't stick with David Oyelowo, who took over as Scar's Fire Demon Ghost in that Lion Guard kid's show.

>Not when it comes to box office
Actually, when it comes to the box office English dominates so hard that the competition basically doesn't exist.

Take for instance the incredibles 2 from last year: The raw take from english speaking countries alone was nearly 60% of the total. That's not including the bigger US ticket or the countries that show the English version with or without a dub along side it.
The next highest single language take is China/HK/Taiwan with ~70 million, with is about 5% of the total box office and even then they would have had to do a Cantonese version for the HKers.
English is literally the only version that matters for profit.

>What do Americans think about this?
Are you suggesting that they get actual bona fide Africans to act for them? Because that rarely turns out well.

>some cgi lions doing shit

WOW SO BRAVE WOW ITS AN ART WOW MUCH CULTURE WE WOKE NOW

When will the closest star explode so we can end this horror we call society

based and kangpilled

>"I can't wait for this to come out so I can watch it one more time. No, two more times. No, three more times!"

There is no two way street with diversity. Remember that. It only goes one way: away from straight and white.

There's an interview with him somewhere at the time this was announced and the host asks him if he's reprising his role as Scar and Jeremy says he'd love to but no one had approached him yet :(

This, unfortunately. We won't stop hearing about how "powerful" it is. That word makes me want to vomit now.

>be ready instead of "be prepared"
Is he retarded

90% or higher.

Everyone praising it for diversity and visual effects. Maybe even a token "the best disney live action remake yet"

A pallet cleanser after Aladdin and Dumbo.

very conveniently picking i2 which made 50% of its money domestically when most blockbusters make only 30-35% of their money domestically

Yeah, I very conveniently picked the highest grossing animation of 2018. Funny thing is though, out of the runners up, only Ralph less that 50% of it's gross in english speaking countries and the grinch and spider verse were well above 60%, as is TS4 this year.
I mean seriously my dude, i2's gross in 2018 alone was 90% of the profit that the next three animations made together, the competition doesn't even count at that point.
Oh and let me point out once more that only the US box office is real money, due to the superior studio cut.

Oh Fuck that's good

americans worship black like gods
especially somebody like donald glover
and especially
especially
beyonce

this shit is gonna make billion dollar.
