I'm not really upset about it. I think it's stunt casting meant to elicit controversy, but since I'm avoiding these unnecessary Disney remakes, this means nothing to me.

Some people pointed out though that the actress would have been better in a live action Princess and the Frog movie, still others have said that it would have been better to have a created new black character and that repurposing a white character for black people should not be considered "winning".
