I’ve never read this. Should I?
Never. He got metoo'd and his work is radioactive now. Even if it was possible it won't happen for a while.
Nah, Homestuck is better
if you are not a booklet you will most likely not be able to enjoy it, it takes like 300 pages to get good. After that it picks up and it's very fun
if you are a booklet, fuck
I'm reading it right now.
Its a long read. Might take you weeks to months to get through the damn thing, but just know the first 200 or so pages are almost a literary pleb filter. Its really hard to get a grasp of the narrative and whats happening in those early pages, but once you get over a hump it becomes almost addictive to read (and considering the subject matter I assume that's purposeful).
hope you enjoy it my man, but you are on the usual 'reaction' curve so you probably will, it only gets better. Everytime I see my IJ on my shelf I have good memories and get a strong urge to re-read it.
Also, after reading it I started to enjoy watching tennis kek
>it takes like 300 pages to get good
lol what a fucking meme
yeah, see >but just know the first 200 or so pages are almost a literary pleb filter
I think it's well worth it, though. That only happens because it doesn't make sense on purpose, on a second reading it's good throughout
>I’ve never read this. Should I?
The book is bloated but the footnotes are kino
Can you read this without the footnotes? I can't get them to work on my e-reader.
The footnotes are gold. You need them. They are a book themself- especially the tennis stuff.
Thought so, it's a shame I can't seem to get a single book to make them work properly, and I really don't to buy $35 paperweights anymore.
Merry Christmas!

Infinite jest costs $12 on Amazon and you can probably find it at any used book store in america
yea definitely. this book is based. i had to read it a second time to enjoy it though. first time was a pain to get through and i had no idea what was actually going on. but maybe you're not as retarded as me and you can appreciate it on your first go around.
Reminder that only pleb FUCKS pieces of shit would dismiss Infinite Jest.
IJ movie would be so fucking cringe. imagine how excited the reddit soiboi pseuds would get. i'm sure HBO will eventually turn it into a miniseries tho.
This book reads quite poorly. The prose is tryhard as fuck and it could only be written by an obsessive suicidal maniac.
as a fan of the book, i genuinely hope the answer is never (and realistically i don't even know that they could, they'd have to chop a bunch of shit out unless they were gonna do it as like a miniseries or something, and even then there's basically 0 chance they could come anywhere close to capturing the tone of the writing)
It would have to be a miniseries but it’s not really that complicated of a story
>a guy with a fucked up past but a heart of gold fights to stay clean
>a spoiled and pampered kid who is too smart for his own good descends into addiction
Those are our emotional anchors, if you get those two guys right then everything else in the series would blossom out from that. It’s really not that complicated and part of the point of the complexity is beat down on fucks like Hal who use their intelligence to try and outsmart what is actually good for them
CANCELLED
