Dont mind me, just being the best horror film ever made
Dont mind me, just being the best horror film ever made
Any other comfy horror movies like this?
Ravenous
This film is gaining a lot of traction recently. Much thanks to e-celebs such as RLM praising it. I predict a massive wave of contrarians who will brush this off as overrated in the near future which will spark a warring debate back and forth.
Screencap this.
prince of darkness is a better horror
So was Childs the thing in the end?
>RLM
Who?
THat's not Alien
No
Yep
No he was testing him by drinking the gasoline. They both died out of paranoia
I fucking hate this dumbass gasoline theory. The thing assimilates all memories and physical conditions, it would know not to drink fucking gasoline.
This. It's a sort of dumb theory.
what, just because hes black?
doesn't matter.
I don't know why people don't want to accept that they just froze to death and that was it.
MacReady wouldn't waste a bottle of JB by pouring it out and replacing it with gasoline.
Robert Lowny Munior
I know I'm human, but I can't be sure for the rest of you in this thread.
Some of you are still human, but someone in here is not what he says he is.
Is it normal for science stations in the antarctica to have flamethrowers for every guy there
Because they played the video game and know that MacReady is alive.
yes. there's no breath coming out of his mouth
no, read the sequel comic
Retards le Manchildren
unclear
Are you such a contrarian you think RLM effects the popularity of one of the most famous horror movies ever made?
>assuming he hadn't already drunk it
I remember there being Thing threads before that RLM video even existed.
Only the based ones.
Yes.
Waiting for the crossover when Kurt Russel takes Wilford Brimley through the Stargate.
I pity you for watching e celebs to be in the know to begin with.
The upsurge of its popularity is directly coorespondent to various media influencers. Check google analytics. The Thing was for a long time a lowkey cult movie and now that it has started to blow up in the past 10 years it is ripe to be hit by a wave of contrarians and gatekeepers.
>lowkey cult movie
Everybody used to rent this movie at video stores back in the day. I remember that shit.
YES THERE FUCKING IS
Cool anecdote bro. Your little story totally blows my data of box office records, domestic rental data and search engine analytics... you fucking retard.
predator & blair witch
this fucking blind retard again
What the fuck did you provide, in actual links and sources? According to my sources, the Thing was consistently and wildly a box office success, even after it exited theaters. It currently exceeds Avatar in 2019 ticket sales.
That's a weird way to write The shining.
no, macready was at that point
I'm more a "watch movies they hate" kinda guy. Pain and Gain is absolute kino and you could tell it would be from their reddity whining about it.
Blame (dumb kids that watched) M Night and Fincher. Maybe Kubrick.
Kids think every movie has to have a twist or hidden meaning now.
Ehhhh PoD starts out insanely strong but honestly falls short towards the end.
>Trips of Truth
Pain and Gain was absolute Kino that was hated because it was directed by Michael Bay.
The ending is extremely eerie and bleak.
My dad let me watch this when I was like 12. I loved every fucking second. Thanks dad!
You're right. All the retarded shilling saying this is a cinematic masterpiece is making me look back on it more critically. It's no masterpiece or innovation, just a good movie. I hate how people circlejerk shit to legendary status when in reality it's an 8/10
yes
watch the new bluray release
Both were going to freeze to death
Does it matter?
I don't want to talk about that fucking shitfest game
I enjoyed it quite a bit, and it was my childhood and shaped quite a bit my taste regarding monsters and such. But I don't think I'd give it a
>10/10 best film in history
No I should have elaborated better the ending is great and the implications of said ending are great and the beginning is great but once more and more people started getting possessed towards the end the movie kinda falls off and looses what made it scary
>ending is extremely eerie and bleak
No horror movie should have a happy ending. The more eerie and bleak the better imo.
not even ((you)) believe that
unclear, but if you notice that people who became the thing would sometimes not have the same exact clothes on in prior scenes.
Child's coat was white (while in earlier scenes it was navy blue), it is hard to tell if it was the doctors coat (Blair's), or just covered in show.
>own Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Mummy on dvd
>never watched them
which one first? Also is Creature from the Black Lagoon good?
>"You the only one that made it?"
>"Not the only one."
>Not "We the only ones that made it?"
Sure sounds like he was, or atleast Mac suspected him.
I have another theory.
All this shilling to bring it back only means one thing: A remaster/Sequel/Reboot is coming soon.
This is a well known trick in marketing now. Especially in Vidya.
