Series : If you like it the fun is longer, the writting deeper, several arcs, time to deepen characters, some series are a niche for fans.
Movies are irrelevant and made to quick money grab from the mainstream pleb. Every theme has to be shorten straight to the point, it's fast-food.
Why do people pretend that the ability to watch a long film makes them better (friggin superior) or smarter ?
Most movies are bad to mediocre, so keeping it short limits the damage. Around the 2 hour mark is where a film can really start to drag unless it's one of the rare good ones. There's nothing inherently better about a longer movie anyways, so the risk reward calculation says to just make a >2 hour movie. It's insane to me that people are sitting through 3+ hour long comic book movies.
true pleb
>tv series better
>has to make every cutback to visuals to meet 8 day turnaround and ends up looking ugly and entirely shot reverse shot.

What's true about a birth of a nation ? It's not even entertaining to watch, the triumph of the will was even better.
Wow, imagine having such a shit opinion that prevents you from enjoying the greatest war movie of all time.
>What's true about a birth of a nation
Lots of things. The American Civil War was a thing that happened. The South losing to the North happened. Abraham Lincoln getting shot in a theater also happened. Republican Congressmen quickly forcing racial equality onto the South after the war happened. The KKK being created as a result of this equality happened as well.
>movie took less than 12 years to make
>the triumph of the will was even better.
it was also made 20 years later
triumph of the will is kino but the forced speaking of random people and wary glances creep me out
These are the type of films that take more than one sitting to finish.
>movie over 90minutes
>movie under 2 hours
Most of Triumph of the Will feels dated, like so much screen time is dedicated to speeches about minor insignificant economical successes that even an actual Nazi wouldn't care about two or three years later. It's a documentary of the 1934 Party Congress - who gives a shit?
