What is it about this that was so kino? I never really was obsessed or loved it, but I didn't get bored of it easy either.

Perfect balance between all kinds of feels. They had light humor, action packed stuff, drama, sad parts, etc. The show had 100% soul.

I said two things. You seem to be ignoring the origins of the drones.

I think it's a dumb idea (I haven't read the comics). If I remember correctly, the two factions hated each other but I don't think they had the technolgy to build these drones. When the people from Novus (I think that's the name) left, their ships didn't have FTL tech.

The signal was the dumbest thing in the series. It doesnt matter if it actually means anything, because even at their best speed, the ship is still several lifetimes away from actually reaching the source. Even if there is anything there to find, our characters will never see it, so it has no weight to it as a motivation. I get that it was supposed to be a hamfisted metaphor for god and faith and all that, but it doesn't work.

I prefer the tone of the first season to the rest of the show.
