What's their most aggressive album? My favorite tracks from Mellon Collie are Love, Zero, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Fuck You, and XYU but i can't seem to find more like them on their other albums. Don't get me wrong every song in Mellon Collie is great but i specifically like these. I've already heard Siamese Dream.

Corgans problem was the fact that his band was useless. D'arcy only ever played at live shows, Billy recorded every bass track through the double album. James was a competent rythym guitarist, but again Corgan recorded almost all the rythym tracks for the first 3 albums. Jimmy was a great drummer, but he was such an addict that they had to bring along a back up drummer on tour, and he killed the guitar player on the double album tour with a heroin overdose.

Like some other user said, the new shit that Billy is releasing is every bit as good as prime SP. And he is doing it without any of them.

My favorite pumpkins album will always be Siamese Dream. But if you lime their heavier stuff check out the newer albums. Zietgiest and Oceania are better than anything the original band ever did other than Siamese imo.

D'arcy never recorded a studio track that made it to albulm until the double albulm. And yea, i thought i typed keyboard until i read it after i posted.

A lot of tracks from the third album were recorded by a full band live in studio.

I dont count that as an albulm. The double albulm is the third albulm. Pisces was just b sides.

I think pisces is great, and i loved them live. I still have the euphoria video tape and probably my favorite sp song is the acoustic version of mayonaise they recorded on the street in key west.

But out of their real albums, d'arcy never got a track until the double albulm.

I love gish, but it really isnt a sp albulm. It is way to try hard to fit in to the seatle culture. When billy abanoned that shit in the second albulm he really came into his own.

SP was sort of the anti seattle sound. Just fucking sad stadium rock.

From my experience, you can only listen to so much heavy guitar music before you get bored with it. These days, synth and piano music interests me more, hence my rankings, though I don't mind some guitar. Of course there is no objectively correct list, but that's just the nature of music.
