I have one friend who watches all these movies . He came into work the day after seeing it and said "there's nothing to discuss" it was just boring , not good or bad.

Infinity War set up Captain Fungus as the ace-in-the-hole to stop Thanos. People thought that they would get some sort of explanation by seeing her solo film. But moreover, the movie was sandwiched between Infinity War and Endgame. No other MCU movie was in that position. Nor was the movie as staunchly defended and shilled by the media. Only Black Panther comes close. And if you want to get tinfoil about it, there are clear indications that Disney bought theater tickets themselves in order to cook box office numbers.

They were pushing so hard that you had to see Captain Marvel to understand Endgame, when really it was Ant-man that had the biggest connection.

I really enjoyed it. Peter and MJ had good chemistry, Mysterio was an ok villain, if a bit contrived. Happy scenes were fun, Peter’s fat friend was in the film minimally and his gf meme was funny. Not as good as Homecoming but still the second best Spider-Man film. Tony basically becoming uncle Ben leaves a lot to be desired seeing as how Peter had minimal impact on his actual death but other than that Disney’s actually doing a good job with the Spider-Man franchise.
