This. He was pretty merciful and gave Lester plenty of chances. He would have never came back to Fargo had Lester not blown his cover like an autist in Vegas.

I feel like rewatching it, he liked messing with people, as shown by his tapes collection, having them do stuff, but not to keep himself out of it, he could even aid them, maybe to see how much he could push them?

I think it gave us a black humor story worth watching, I enjoyed its many characters which worked better as a tv series instead of movie, because of pacing.

WTF, I don't care about the black stuff but can they possibly set it in the south? The very character of the show comes from its upper midwest setting. Wisconsin or the UP of Michigan should be the only possible alternate settings besides Minnesota and ND

Was he the world's worst hitman? I mean he clearly was very effective but he was basically begging to get caught.
He openly threatened cops and always left behind a fuckload of witnesses, not to mention getting caught on camera. In reality someone like that would get arrested after five minutes.
Still a fucking entertaining character brought to life with a great performance though.
