What is wrong with these Spiderman movies?
I can't put my finger on it. It's not particularly bad, but it's not good either. Just meh.
What is wrong with these Spiderman movies?
Feels like Nickelodeon TV movies albeit with higher budget
No movie is perfect, but these are very high quality. Holland IS Spider-Man, he’s just beautiful.
Nickelodeon show a kid being beaten bloody and having a grown man fire a gun at his head? And redpills people on buzzfeed, the media and the Black Dahlia murder? Damn, Nick is based!
The hero is a MCU fan.
>It's not particularly bad, but it's not good either. Just meh.
You mean like every Marvel movie?
Id say the fact they made him into the iron spider
that grey-autumn vibe of a large urban city crowded with way too many teenagers
along with too many nighttime scenes and a-way- too-obvious-CGI'd-superhero
Pic rel is the one and only Peter parker
>mechanical web shooters that shoot pre-fabricated web
stupid
>organic web shooters that shoot organic web
stupid
>mechanical web shooters that pull and shoot organic web from Spidey's body
excellent
that way we get the "Peter is smart and can build stuff" scene where he constructs the shooters, but also explains why he doesn't just sell the formula for the web which would have hundreds of uses in dozens of industries
It's a spider-man in a world that has nothing to do with spider-man. Most of his iconic villains are not established, other iconic characters are changed so much as to be unrecognizable, most of his world is the world of avengers. It doesn't feel like spider-man despite featuring the character.
Isn't Peter running out of web cartridges a plot device that has been used for decades now?
based and 90spilled
Based
They're high budget TV episodes at heart. That's why.
That can easily be changed to
>The shooters got broken in the fight
or
>Peter's body can't produce any more web in such a short time frame
All the MCU movies are bland because they need to be totally inoffensive design by committee popcorn flick to ensure maximum returns. No one making these movies have any desire to make them outside of the money. They don't care and that's why you don't either.
Holland doesn’t movie his face muscles while “acting”
The characters are flat and dont really develop and there's no real plot line.
These films feel like small add on films to a larger mainline story of the avengers, which they are.
They dont hold up as stand alone movies.
Does Disney have to give Sony money to make these flicks ?
He’s a privileged little kid with Stark connections. The past Spider-men didn’t have connections and had to raise themselves up out of being poor and having shitty lives. They had to take care of their Aunt May(s) and hide their double lives. They also faced failure and didn’t have mentors like the avengers they could run to and get shit solved for them.
Fuck the MCU kid
Peter Parker? More like, Peter Privilege, amirite?
They're all about Iron Man and follow the same formula as the Iron Man movies.
>Tony Stark was an asshole a long time ago
>Now someone he fucked over is out for revenge
>Usually they want to steal/copy Stark technology
This is the 5th fucking movie we've gotten from Marvel with this plot, 6th if you count Ultron
They left out almost everything that actually makes Spider-Man interesting.
>Uncle Ben only mentioned in passing
>Tony totally overshadows Peter even when he's dead
>Trash, unlikable love interest
>Zero interesting conflict in Peter
>Stark/SHIELD shit everywhere
I like Holland, he's fine, but the character's treatment is fundamentally wrong. They immediately fucked up by rushing him into Civil War and having Tony make his suit.
MCU Spider-man needs Happy Hogan to turns out to be his 'uncle' then die in front of him and lose all Stark technology and start from scratch to learn that 'with great powers comes great responsabilities', that's the way this Peter Parker will be something beyond a high budget spin off from Iron Man series.
No Mary Jane, Felicia or Gwen.
No Uncle Ben and a young 'milf' Aunt May.
Two black love interests, turned Flash into some Asian hipster, some fat Asian as his best friend.
No Harry, Nornan, no Bugle/Jameson/Robbie/Brant.
Spider-Man had a robot suit thag he talks to like Iron Man.
Theres a reason it doesn't feel like Spider-Man. There fun superhero flicks, but as a Spider-Man movie they're horrible adaptions.
You know if they made a Batman movie with this many changes to him and his side characters, they'd be an absolute uproar.
>turned Flash into some Asian hipster
I think the actor is guatemalan technically. But yeah, it doesn't feel like Spider-Man at all.
I disagree. I think they're entertaining movies. No major flaws with dialogue or plotting.
My issue with them is that they definitely went through a committee to find their place in the universe. If Sony let them make a movie before Civil War I feel like it wouldn't be so weird, but because that was Spidey's first apperance in this setting theres a lot of stuff you have to work around.
>Batman: Far From Home
>When an angry Daily Bugle employee swears revenge on Superman and Clark Kent, Batman will need the help of his teenage sidekick Alfredo and his girlfriend Shaniqua Kyle to save the day and prove he's worthy of becoming the next Superman
this
He feels nothing like spider-man, more like a misremembered version of him
>It's not particularly bad, but it's not good either. Just meh.
This is literally Marvel's selling point. They've perfected the formula for mass appeal.
They keep making more or less the same movie over and over again and people keep paying for it, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
interesting observation
Exactly. Sport games rarely change year to year and thet keep selling like hot cakes, its the way it is.
>watching capeshit
The word you’re looking for is mediocre and the website you’re looking for is reddit.
>FIFA is literally just a roster update 99% of the time
Haha brilliant.
