I've never seen a James Bond movie in my life

I've never seen a James Bond movie in my life.

Which ones should I watch?

Casino Royale

All of them, chronologically.

Start with Casino Royale (2005).

Casino Royale.

Mads alone is the movie

I was about to post this

Bad start, Brosnans Bonds are easier to start with

Don't listen to these guys.
Start with the first one, "Dr.No".

This, you need to understand how good, then bad, then good again the whole series gets.

Anything other than watching them all by release date is open.

If your just a pleb then watch:
Goldfinger
Goldeneye
Casino Royal

Die Another Day
A View to a Kill
Moonraker
Diamonds are Forever

Once you've finished those, if you're still interested, just watch the rest. At that point, you will have seen the worst movies that the series can offer, and everything else is a step up from them.

The only one I hesitated to add to the list was "Diamonds are Forever." Not because it's actually good or anything, but because it's bad, it knows that it's bad, and it revels in how bad it actually is.

*openly pleb

its funny you posted this OP because im planning to go through them all. I started with Casino Royale. Im going to do the craig movies first, then go to brosnans, and then start from the beginning at dr. no. Im kinda working my way through the serious ones first and then building up to the more pulpy. I feel like I made a mistake because casino royale was so good.

Watch Dr No. If you like it, continue watching them in order.

If at any point you get bored, skip ahead to On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

If you don't like OHMSS, the older movies might not be for you. In which case you could watch the two Roger Moore movies considered to be the best, The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only, or you could skip ahead to Dalton, or to GoldenEye. GoldenEye is the first one that has the feeling of a modern blockbuster.

/thread

Essentials;

Dr.No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
OHMSS
Spy Who Loved Me
Moonraker (max camp)
Goldeneye
Casino Royale

Casino Royale and Goldeneye

Only Pierce's ones.
Before : Cringeworthy grandpa
After : Obnoxious ugly russian

The Spy Who Loved Me is most kino out of them all

Dr. No

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE PLEBS WHO BASH ROGER MOORE'S FILMOGRAPHY
MOST OF THEM HAVEN'T EVEN WATCHED THEM OR WERE INDOCTRINATED BY INTERNET MEMES
DO NOT LISTEN TO THE INTERNET MEMES
ROGER MOORE IS PATRICIAN-APPROVED CINEMA
>Robet Bresson on "For Your Eyes Only" : "It filled me with wonder because of its cinematographic writing…If I could have seen it twice in a row and again the next day, I would have done." (1983 interview on "L' Argent")
WATCH THEM ALL CHRONOLOGICALLY, ONE A WEEK STARTING WITH DR.NO

I love A View to a Kill

Everything up to and including Casino Royale, then just stop there

Someone has to, I suppose, but it was definitely the weakest one with Roger Moore and was a massive letdown, especially when compared to "Live and Let Die," "The Spy Who Loved Me," and "The Man With the Golden Gun."

Goldeneye

But they're shit so he might as well start with Dr No

>A View to a Kill
>Moonraker
>Diamonds are Forever
Absolute cringe opinions. They're hilarious. Boring shit like OHMSS, TMD and Spectre are far worse

Watch the first three then pick and choose from there.

Dr. No for old Bond.
Moonraker for meme Bond
GoldenEye for modern Bond.

Fpbp
Best bond movie

CR>old ones>Skyrim>QoS

Casino and Quantum are comfy as fuck. I enjoy all of Craig's films but those two in particular I can watch again and again.

I reckon QoS is one of the most underrated Bond films

How do you get some right and some completely wrong? Rating those Moore films as bottom then give middle scores to Brosnan shite

Diamonds are Forever is fun as fuck and doesn't belong in shit tier. Other than that this is fairly accurate.

The only way to watch them chronologically not skipping one
Rankings
Pleb tier
>All Craig movies including casino royale
>All Brosnan movies besides goldeneye
Pleb-filter tier:
>All moore kinoes
That's all, rest is subjective, but they're all kino besides the Pleb ones (everything post goldneye)

They mostly suck and are boomermeat. Skip them and be a revolutionary.

And it's a real stretch to call Goldeneye better than any previous film. It's the only watchable Brosnan

Casino royale is a series reboot and is closer to modern action films. Its the obvious place to start. It's also a pretty good Bond film in its own right. Skip skyfall and quantum.

The people recommending Dr. No before Goldfinger are retarded, and i've seen evedy bond flick multiple times. Goldfinger is the absolute classic, the only thing Dr. No has over it is that original Bond, James Bond line

>The people recommending Dr. No before Goldfinger are retarded
>First film before third is retarded
What did he mean by this?

I agree

Don't know why you guys keep talking about QoS as if it was any good. It was boring as fuck and absolutely ridiculous even for 007 standards

they are all shit
watch The Bourne Identity and M:I 4

Read the books and short stories.
Then watch the Harry Palmer movies.

It really is. The opera sequence is pure kino and the plot is genuinely clever and one of the most believable scenarios in the franchise.

idk but Goldfinger is when the movies became too pulpy. The best in From Russia with Love. The one about the Bond sex tape as the plot device ;)

I liked it more than Casino Royale. It's also one of the only 2 good Flathead movies (the other being Casino R).
