Films that Emasculate REAL Values

(((Ari Asters))) new film ‘Midsommar’ has got me thinking that there are no recent well-known films that display and promote traditional ethics, value, and symbolism in a positive manner. Have all the good directors been.... (((SHUTDOWN))) ?

Yes.

that title, wow

Yes, Critical Theory has pretty much replaced Christianity and the classics as the lens we view our stories and interactions through. So everything is about the oppressed vs the oppressor. Ironically so is the movie you posted though, although it's a good example of the old view of the definition of oppression (literal slavery)

What do you mean by ‘Critical Theory’?

You're a bit of a spastic aren't you?

Spartacus was directed by a jew too. and written by a communist

/pol/tards would be romans

let's be real here

This is fucking retarded
Jesus would have been considered a critical theory back when his beliefs weren't the most popular

>hurr durr what is google

Kubrick was killed by (((them)))

If you cared about values and ethics you'd know not to seek them any era of hollywood

/pol/tard suck tho they're more like retarded aboriginals.

Never gonna make it.

The Romans DID NOTHING WRONG until they adopted Christianity.

>adopt Christianity
>civilization falls apart 100 years afterwards

Christianity is the original communism.

Woah buddy, are you saying Aboriginals have a lower IQ than other people?

That's racist bro.

I've literally seen this board rip into A Clockwork Orange because of it's commentary on how society makes a monster.

Why is that a bad thing?

That came after the fall of Rome, retard. It was only the Eastern Empire that adopted it and that flourished for 1,000 years until Muslims finally took over.

I Googled critical theory. Your assertion doesn’t make sense in this case. You’re implying that Midsommar is critical theory because it challenges male privilege and the like which insinuates that ‘male privilege’ is some sort of power to be challenged. In reality, ‘female privilege’ is what ought to be challenged in modern society therefore a more traditional value based film would be consider Critical Theory in today’s world.

>Midsommar

Keep in mind I haven't seen this film.

Critical theory isn't a theory unto itself, it is a tool utilized to attack things in society that left unchecked could provide a challenge to the existing order.

Maybe in the 1960s or 70s these film makers were speaking truth to power, now they are the power.

zoomer /pol/ chad in training

So what is your list of recommended films?

>Emasculate
I do not think that word mean what you think it means

*Emulate

Aboriginals have a lower IQ than people

Napoleon 1970 is a good film.

The Hitcher with Rutger Hauer is a good chase film.

Imagine getting this offended over a movie
