Last couple of shows I've wanted to watch have been on Amazon Prime. It's making me think about cancelling my Netflix to be honest. I wouldn't get Prime though. My TV doesn't even have a built in app for it so I wouldn't even watch it.

if OP doesn't want to get bothered by the pacing, I would suggest the following viewing order: pt. 4 & 5, then pt. 1 & 3, then pt. 6 & 7, then pt. 2 & 8. It's unfortunate that Refn decided to edit the whole thing chronologically - probably a consequence of them shooting the whole thing chronologically - but if you indulge the alternate sequence of episodes I've lined up here you'll save yourself from having to suffer through hours of slow shots that don't even seem to pay off for quite some time otherwise.

But whatever you do, do not even fucking bother watching parts 9 & 10. It's such a garbage ending that it insults the whole rest of the parts of the movie.

It's too good for most people to truly be able to appreciate. The lead up to all the insinuations of what is implied to be happening and why was magnificent. The dialogue here is substantive in the context relative to the characters and "world" we are shown and the pauses are contemplative and usually include audio and visual cues that clue in to what the character is thinking, feeling or considering. Yes it was stretched out too long but overall when viewed as a whole it added to overall tense nature of the series.

Most people who don't enjoy what Refn does probably have zero culture, lack any historical perspective and don't enjoy foreplay before wild kinky sex. Stop being sop boring.
