Sad old man hires sad old actors to reprise roles sad old man isn't even interested in filming while hip young nobodies stumble through their confusing scenes and the overly long and uninteresting season ends with a literal capeshit fight where one of the hip young nobodies punches a floating cgi ball with the main villains face on it to death before the only sad old actor who isn't completely demoralized by the shoot goes and picks up the formerly hip young nobody actress who died in the first season and drove the premise of the show. Formerly hip young nobody is now a sad old actress living in the desert and she and sad old actor drive off. Her presence ruins the show and retroactively destroys any emotional resonance her death previously had.

It's a terrible season to a show that now has more bad seasons than good, and brainlets on here will claim to like it but are completely incapable of saying why they like it or how it's good so they resort to stale unfunny memes in place of arguments or debates.

Why do people insist on taking things from such an incredibly imaginative creation like this show and putting them in your neat little boxes of "Black Lodge" "White Lodge" "Judy" etc? Can you not handle any variety or subtlety or just pure ambiguity which Lynch excels at? Why does every dark otherworldly place have to be the Black Lodge, why does an otherworldly place with seemingly benevolent beings have to be the White Lodge? There's clearly much more to it than that.

Judy is Bob's mom and she's the mother of all evils because she represents inaction, the biggest evil of all. Bob represents abuse and caused Leland to rape Laura by possessing him. But Sarah knew this and she chose to do nothing even though her daughter was in pain. This is why it turns out that she and her entire house are possessed by Judy in the end, and why Laura hears her voice calling out her name in the final scene, because she knows it could be a dream and she can wake up to living that nightmare again, of being constantly abused directly by her father and indirectly by her mother, so she screams in horror. After that, it cuts to the first epislde's scene of Laura whispering something to Dale's ear but we can't hear it. However, since it was revealed that the first time, when the show had Bob as the villain, she whispered "My father killed me", we can conclude that in this season, which focuses on Judy as the villain, she whispers "My mother killed me".

Mr. C called what Lynch calls "the red room" The Black Lodge. So do four thousand other characters throughout the work, not just The Return. No one ever calls shit The Mauve Zone. That's not The Zone. That's clearly "NON-EX-IS-TENCE" crossed with The White Lodge out of sync via electrical infetterence.

The Zone is a place you hear about in the damn work, and you saw it first in FWWM. Things have names when they have names. Bill Hastings found it, and The Major was there. And Woodsmen, on the stairs. Gordon found it.

The Zone is central, those fucking Jumping Man stairs under the fan. It's big. You've seen access to the Black Lodge through it, access to The Dutchman's (Jeffries' room crosses over with White Lodge technology, scope it out), and access to above the convenience store. These are all distinct but related dimensional areas, with their own clear names in the show.

No one ever calls shit The Fireman's Mansion, or the White Lodge. The White Lodge is bigger than The Fireman's Mansion, and it's into the mansion we're seeing, but to call it The White Lodge within the show directly would be to reduce it. If you're going by Lynch, go by all of Lynch. He's not going to come out and tell you something is The White Lodge even if the work makes it fucking clear.
