Season 1 was overrated reddit shit
Why was that video store fuck calling Star Wars A New Hope?No one called it that until the 90s
That was because season one came out of nowhere, everyone watched it fresh.
Now, there's expectations, and the inevitable flanderization that comes with any successful series. It's hard to make a good season 2+, doubly so at a place like netflix.
the change was present when the movie re-released in the early 80s, a nerd working at a video store would probably know the new name, and use it
TURN AROUND LOOKK AT WHAT YOU SEE
IN HER FACE THAT Yea Forums IS REDDIT WITH SO MANY FAAAAGS
I can't even remember what happened in season 1. I hate how people praise all these fucking shows, but you can barely remember anything besides vague characters.
next season the better show that steve fucked the lesbian out of that bitch
With this company? Not a chance. Look for Steve to transition to try to have a chance with her, but still fail because she refuses to fuck the descendants of slavers.
the whole show is just a DND campaign right?
The first season was, part of it's charm IMO. That's all been lost by now, though.
>S1 8/10
>S2 6/10
>S3 4/10
this man is telling the truth
Whenever the kids/teens start using their weapons I think about it
S1 was only good cause of "nostalgia" on a rewatch its thoroughly terrible
overall it was shit. it did have some kino moments though. when Billy and gf knocked the parents unconscious to american pie
disagree. recently watched S1E01 again and it was miles better than anything in S3. pacing is much better and nothing feels out of place and dialogue actually feels real
nah, last few episodes of s1 were terrible
He would not use it, NO ONE called it anything but Star Wars back then. Not even Lucas.
You are comparing a tiny poop to a big heaping pile of garbage. S3 is irredeemable besides mommy winona and the ruskie
don't forget to buy coke bros
I still refuse to call it a New Hope. No one called it that when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s
Tbh never really liked S1, it was okay, but not that good. I'm not speaking about s2, can't even remember it. But S3was really good, despite gurl power and Erica.. Liked it's visuals a lot, thought it had too much neon, and sound design. It had some plot holes and what not, but overall it's couldn't keep my eyes away from it. 8/10
What do you get out of larping as old people, children?
Same here
S3 was better
The monster was actually a threat 11 wasn't op
The cringe was mostly gone and the writing actually improved and shite over 2
Cgi + practical vfx was great and straddled the line between monster mash corny and semi realistic dope goo scenes as well as some awesome foreshadowing setup since s1 with the googuy baddy mind spider nigger
Sad the shows hit its peak since s4 is gonna be shit without the returning cast but could be Russian weird scifi experiment kino so who knows
>was a blast
was it? I'll be honest, I don't remember a single thing except teenagers being assholes and kids screaming
>without the returning cast
What? That's cool I guess, they want to do other shit.
That's me and season 2. It's a complete blur and I didn't remember anything until they showed some flashbacks and even then I sure as shit don't remember punk rock Eleven closing the eye of Sauron.
It was meant to be a anthology series so if it goes back to that format rather than monster season of the week + recurring cast I'm fine with it
What made it good was the mystery element. You had no idea what was going on, which made the show interesting. This ended around episode 7 and then the mystery fell flat. It was just some shadow world where mindless monsters come out of. Since season 1 they've almost completely dropped the mystery component and have decided to tell the same exact story 3 times. Their problem was that they never expanded the upside down or made it interesting. It's just the home of mindless monsters with no deeper mystery than that. Its not worth watching it anymore. Season 1 was really good.
>max "enlightens" El and ruins her relationship
Powerful
Same. But this didn't feel like an ending ENDING so I just assumed they would do a Season 4: The Freshman Year or something. That's cool that they're moving away from this though because like said it has kind of run its course.
well I’d say that the “mindflayer’s” motives are still a mystery. it’s obviously sentient and is trying to work towards something.
>work towards something
yeah which is the generic "they're trying to wipe out humanity" bullshit that they revealed near the end of season 2. They still have revealed fuck all about the nature of the upside down after what are basically 2 entire filler seasons.
Honestly I find Stranger things a bit dumb and it's predictable as fuck but you have to admire the pacing of season 3. I just can't seem to stop watching it
Sure it was overrated, but it was still relatively comfy, easy to digest, fun and did some SUBVERTING that actually worked instead of doing it for the sake of doing it
None of these descriptors apply to season 2 and 3
ST only turned reddit after season 1. the writers actually had something good going and didnt know what to do with it after S1
this guy gets it
Its your faults for being retards and getting invested in a normie product that's only selling point was REMEMEBR THE 80's, released on a platform that is regarded by anyone who doesn't consume soi and isn't a quarter stealing jew, as trash.
So I don't feel bad for a single one of you faggots.
MEMBER lost the first time you fell the the bullshit mystery box why do you keep falling for it FUCK THIS DOGSHIT bullshit mystery box shows like this would never have a fulfilling payoff its build of this faggot mystery box trope
It was still the best season
>release show
>bank its success on people hopefully wanting 80's nostalgia
>It works
>okay, you're greenlit for a season 2!
>oh shit, we didn't think this far ahead
>scramble some haphazard shit together
>repeat again next season
What a shitshow, the Duffers are solely to blame.
this
S1 10/10
S2 8/10
S3 10/10
Should I even finish 3? does it get even a tinge bit better during the last few episodes? I've made it through 4 eps and really have no desire or drive to continue, which is sad, because I had even managed to sit through all of 2.
why does this idiot wear a belt, but doesn't tighten it enough to perform a belt's function?
it’s worth it for based Steve
Mike will probably die next season because his actor has been doing great branching out on the movie roles so far
I made it 3 episodes into season 3 and dropped it forever. I still hate myself for watching season 2. There is only so much shitty acting and romance I can take.
steve gets cucked
Indeed, but there are still styles and principles of S1 that they didn't give a fuck in carrying over, but rather turned everything into an ADHD MTV fest.
T.Fag
I think it was originally planned to be a multi-season thing, which actually just makes it all that much worse, they knew they were going to continue and still had nothing planned out.
season 1 is the best but none of this show deserves a 10/10
Because the belt is just an accessory and his pants are already tight enough
I felt the same and no it does not get better
what's a show that deserves a 10/10 then?
he is /ourguy/
season 3 is worse than season 2
keep on growin' up kid
which is what makes it even more tragic
>people are getting nostalgic about a nostalgia throwback shit-show now
>season 3
>bad
Yea Forums being contrarian snowflake fucktards as usual
yikes
From best to worst girl in a single episode. She was pretty annoying throughout this season.Except for Erica, can't stand her.
Is Harbours acting worse this season or is it just the fact they ruined his character and gave him a shit script to work with? I can't tell which is which, it just felt like he as hamming it up the whole season in nearly every scene
>Except for Erica, can't stand her.
i don't think anyone can, totally shoehorned in for woke points
passive aggressive response to being given nothing meaningful to do or say
S1 10/10
S2 5.5/10
S3 9/10
It’s the script. They went full marvel with the eccentric quips during moments of peril or action and le ebin funny screaming matches
I thought season 3 was actually really good. Not as good as season 1 but way better than season 2. What the fuck happened with season 2?
Everyone feels like they are hamming it up. This season feels like a Stranger Things parody, and it's kind of hilarious in it's own right, but not in a good way.
I've only watched season 1 so far
are the rest of the seasons worth it?
the poo in loo
was there a poo in the loo in season 2? I honestly don't remember much from it since it sucked so bad. did a poo write season 2 or something?
don't you get it he has feelings again so he turns from a hyper masculine Chad into a goofball dad figure
s2 was rushed as hell, it was there just for the sake of getting something out.
Season 2 is week but at least the mind flayer was interesting. S3 mind flayer sucks ass.
The first season was great. Was wholesome, innocent and had mystery to it. It shouldve been a one season thing, or waited 3-5 years to do a sequel when the kids were older, and had a similar storyline to the first season.
Instead becuase of its success, its be turned into another tool to push poz onto the general public. Its also full of fanservice, which they said they wernt going to do after the first season. The directors said they only wanted to do one season, but their jewish producer pestered them into doing more.
1>3>2
F
mind controlled villains are great but this was disappointing
reminded me of slither, i hope we get a movie in the same vein soon
Hot take from me here but Winona overacts like fuck in this show, she's been doing it since season 1 and it's kind of annoying and also funny because she's the most seasoned actor on the show. She just seems a little too overdramatic.
FUCKING MAGNETS EXPLAIN THEM TO ME SCOTT
Netflix ruined it by pandering to the memes. Why professional writers continuously listen to fandoms for story ideas is beyond me.
Is she the worst actor on the show?
what memes? I was impressed by how they were able to not do that 2bh. I have no idea what you're talking about
No that’s Will’s actor Noah Schap or something
The whole Barb thing, for a start. That was literally a meme, and no one actually cared about justice for Barb, yet Nancy's entire fucking storyline revolved around it.
They killed off a lot of people this season, even if they were just npc’s, especially for a small town. I think that’s the only thing about this season that really bothered me. Is no one supposed to notice that like 30 people disappeared and a mall was destroyed in one day?
They explained that the mall "burned down." I don't know about the people, though.
Yeah they didn’t know what to do with him since he was probably never supposed to be a main character considering he was non existent in S1. I said it would be their issue after the first season aired
I remember them saying the fact it was set in the 80's wasnt really a big part of the show. Then with season 2 they threw that out of the window, gave into the fan servce and pushed the 80's nostalgia pill hard, ruining the vibe of the show.
Season one had its own soundtrack, with season 2 they used actual 80's music which was very out of place and weird.
Should i even bother watching season 3? i enjoyed season 1, it was comfy and wholesome.
Thought season 2 was complete garbage, and all the mystery and innocence was lost.
Exactly whereas Steve, the fallen chad would not have even known that because as the dickwad you’re arguing with says “Nobody called it that in the 80’s”. He’s wrong of course but it’s about nerd cred of that era.
3 was much better than 2. not as good as 1.
why does everything turn to shit these days. It almost like its purposefully done
>giving each season a different rating when they basically made a single season 3 times
Too bad that cuck dropped his lawsuit
Pacing doesn't feel that amazing to me. After an episode ended, even if on a cliffhanger (so basically every episode) I wasn't salivating to see what was next. I don't know, for some reason some of the magic of the show has seem to have worn off.
The kids aren't endearing and cute anymore, they are just mostly annoying, the adults are caricatures running around doing stupid shit AS IF they are kids themselves. I admit it's still shot pretty well and the CGI doesn't bother me as much as seemed to be others, but overall it's just not landing with me this season
Yeah people who lose their youngest children should just be chipper and upbeat about it.
>muh daughter!
>muh nu-daughter!
>daughter!
Based Hopper..so brave. So...manly, so fatherly, so wicked and awesome :)
S1 - 8/10
S2 - 4/10
S3 - 5/10
>They killed off a lot of people this season
And none of them mattered, except you know who.
Why is the Mind Flayer a mix of The Thing, The Blob and IT?
Seriously, this must be the worst and laziest cliffhanger I've ever seen
Fuck this kike show
I really like that one demogorgon song
m.youtube.com
Duffers have to "pay homage" to a of their "influences"
It's entirely possible to act worried, scared and in grief without overselling it.
But worst girl is Erica
I can't tell if you're supposed to think she's an obnoxious piece of shit or go "mmmhmmm ya u go girl sho dem crackaz who da maf jeansius is!". So give the writers an Emmy I guess. Very multifaceted character.
Why did they do my boy Alexei like that
I know that but my point is how does a small town not go ballistic and how does it not make national news
The other psychic chick, the one in a gang.
It doesn't get any better and it's definitely not worth watching. This show should have ended at the end of season 1.
She was alright in this season. Her weirdo basket case mom role in S1 is obviously top tier.
Dark
lmao holy shit. I totally forgot about that whole storyline. god damn that season was so forgettable.
fucking kids are ugly and annoying as hell
Were they suppose to become a couple this season? they were way too happy around each other. Some Netflix suit got worried and curtailed the idea, didn't they?
S1 was full of bad fan service too.
also it makes no sense as we've seen previously those things are perfectly capable of escaping a weak ass steel cage. and since we know the Russians had to open another portal it's likely they got Hopper locked up in their jail as they found him in the upside down. I said yesterday that I bet season 4 opens with El getting her powers back and memeing finding Hopper with a blindfold on just because and she actually finds that he's still alive but in Russia
All your scores need to be dropped by one or two points.
pretty good soundtrack through all 3 seasons
every girl on the show could get piped. This one especially.
>tfw no 80's brunette babe ever
>tfw born in the wrong generation
rewatch it then you fag
all i can think about is how pink finn's boipucci must be
it’s probably brownish grey and smells like millies shit since it’s what he eats everyday
>Max literally bullies El into breaking up with Mike
>proceeds to try to convince her he was the worst boyfriend ever, making fun of him with her at every chance she gets
>goes the extra mile and basically tells her boys are toxic and just shitty assholes
suck
>convincing El to let her sleepover (in the saem bed) without even consulting Hopper about it first
>Finds excuses to touch her (i.e. laughing hard, tugging her along somewhere by hand, cleaning up her nosebleeds etc)
Yeah, I'm thinking it's marriage.
s1 - 8/10
s2 - 8.5/10
s3 - 5/10
Hi Eleven
I wann rip his stupid ass mushroom hair off his stupid ass weasel head
Do they not have a boss? They can just leave mid-work any old time they want and/or not be standing out front and just chill out in the back all day?
>flirt all season
>obvious implications of feelings on both sides
>steve admits his feelings
>lol you weirdo loser im a lesbian
El x Max
Mike x Will
Please don’t hurt my baby husband
lol S2 was a straight up dog turd
sneed
So... Season 3 happens in 1984. They have an evil russian guy that is basically Terminator. He even kinda looks like Schwarzenegger back then. Terminator was released 1984.
Is this some kind of meta joke? Can it be taken seriously as a reference? Or is it just horrible tropes?
>Is this some kind of meta joke?
Is this a meta joke? Because the whole show is basically a big collage of meta jokes of the movies in the 80s
HONK HONK
yes it was look at the fun house scene
Season 3 takes place in the summer of '85. There was just that one scene in the first episode.
No doubt he's an archetypal, unstoppable, nearly superhuman villain. Why even ask?
>It's a characters piece together and figure out things the audience already knows: The Season
Fucking yikes. They didn't need to do this EVERY episode.
I thought the ending where they were at the movie rental store and steve mentioned the star wars with the little bears seemed too early, given the timeline. I could have sworn that return of the jedi came out in the late 80s, my guess was 87, and I know it's not really that big a difference in reality but it came out in 83. I have no idea why, but I always thought it came out in the late 80s. What year is this season supposed to take place in even?
>Season 3 takes place in the summer of '85. There was just that one scene in the first episode.
Ah damn, missed that. Thanks for correcting me.
I'm just happy that she still gets work.
>Every chance a character has to make fun of a Russian character by calling them by a different name or Russian word they take it.
What was the Duffers endgame with this season?
Both season 1 and season 3 were great. Season 2 was meh.
This
Seems like the only actor who actually had fun shooting this season
Duffers confirmed for neo-cons.
coldwar
i hate this gay trope in fiction. What is the point of setting up a girl for Steve for him just to be humiliated for her being a lesbian? I don't get what is going on with this character. He was the cool guy and now he's falling apart constantly getting cucked. Season 3 has been shit so far, no reason for me to keep watching it.
It sounds Incredibly Jewish.
>the face of the bad guys are russians and a young white male
hmmmm really sets the noggin a joggin
Him and the other jew
I don’t watch virgin nwo shit
there was plenty of 80's music in season 1. I still remember the slam cut to Hazy Shade of Winter by the Bangles over the credits after Nancy's BFF gets demogorgon'd.
Not even close to season 2. S2 was full of this crap
I agree in 1 and 2 she was pretty grating, but she was fine in 3. Probably one of the only positive things I can say about the season.
Lucas
>S1
hey what if we smash together nostalgia bait, sillent hill and a groid into a mixer and top it off with jewflix writing and a j.j. abrams mystery box.
reddit: 8/10
it is the burst of creativity that comes with any first effort
as commercial efforts require continuation of a story which stifles creativity which naturally requires a story to conclude
>when that girl you warned everyone about made your gf to dump you
It really doesn't help that this guy even LOOKS like an older Robert Patrick with more hair and a bit longer face.
>"Hey guys, remember the 80s"
It got old in season 2, but it's cool that they revived popular 80's star Gary Coleman for this.
Just happy American bants, bro.
Wait that is not Robert Patrick the guy who plays T 1000?
Holy shit he kind of looks like Arnold and Patrick, at the same time. Talk about intentional hire.
Around redhead never relax
>>"Hey guys, remember the 80s"
No, what happened?
so a call back to season 1, why was barb dying made out to be such a big deal? i remember it being talked about on late night shows and afterwards the fandom wouldnt shut the fuck up about how heartless the show was for ripping such a loveable character from their arms? barb, if youre reading this, you fucking suck. youre fat and ugly and nancy sticc mogged you
I think this explains why seasons 2 of stranger things and true detective were so shit. The creators obviously had some talent and created something great. But when they were put on a timeline, they just couldn't make it happen at the drop of a dime.
Was season 3 worth it? I liked season 1 well enough as a well packaged nostaliga fest. Season 2 just felt like a redundant rehash of the first.
why couldn't the giant monster lift a few children through a roof just because they were pulling down?
it's better than season 2 but nowhere near half as good as season one
i think the big difference for true detective was joji not directing and the setting being really lame
Not at all.
It's just getting worse as it goes on.
The only redeeming thing about season 3 is the Mind Flayer looks pretty cool.
It's just another typical Netflix shit with forced agendas and storylines that go nowhere.
why didn't it just get them with those tentacle things it clearly still had or could regenerate very fast that it used on Billy at the end
>entire show is built on ripping off/referencing better material
>guys, is this obvious reference a reference???
the mind flayer is retarded. it worked much better when it was just an unknown ominous threat of destruction not talking through people or revealing it's intentions
It does look cool though.
the only thing still kino about it is that opening sequence
why did the thing die when the gate closed?
it looked cool yeah but sadly the main scenes with the mind flayer in it were kid scenes and i skipped any scene with any more than 2 kids in it
i'll give you that but they really fucked it up by giving it trope ass motives
What the fuck is even the point at this point?
I am forgotten.
I remember them adding that Eleven had "family" like her last season for no reason.
it was Marvel all over. whoa, getting too heavy, tension ramping up...time for yet another retarded arguing scene or kids being silly.
It was rereleased before Empire and that's when they changed it to anh.
Surprisingly I dont really think I missed much plot from skipping their scenes. There were a few times when I was unaware of new character dynamics, but overall the plot is simple to follow. I made some concessions for Dusty/Niglet scenes because Steve/Robin is kino and cute af
the forgotten attempt at a spin off
wish i could get a fan edit of seasons 1-3 with this abomination removed
I think the only reason to still follow the series is to see how Finn Wolfhard the awkward kid being looked down by everyone went from the underdog of the bunch to being the most successful actor out of all of them
not our fault your memory stinks, I remember most plot points and the scenes that really stuck out. Overall it felt more Stephen King and less Steven Spielberg than subsequent seasons.
good
Media is now basically all about shitting on straight white men wherever possible as punishment for electing Trump.
Quite frankly for S4 they should leave Winona and her two kids wherever the fuck they go
Then have all five of the Wheelers die in the first episode
and eleven can make her big return in like the second to last episode
build the show around steve/robin/dustin with the black kid fucking the ginger girl as your b-plot
Can we talk about that fucking Coke scene? Holy shit that was the most blatant and painful product placement I've ever seen.
Why do they ALL have haircuts with a hairline just above their eyebrows? I've lived through the 80's and that wasn't a thing.
It was never good though
>born September 1989
>"I've lived through the 80's"
Sure thing, kid.
Is the rissian guy Rabbit from Banshee?
I ran out and bought 10 cases of new coke immediately after watching this scene to fill the hole in my heart for a couple of minutes
maybe because a generic "he got a girl that's perfect for him!" storyline is fucking dumb
None of the couples lasted. Mike/11, Nancy/whatever his name is, Joyce/Hopper, billy didn't fuck the MILF
dustin has a long distance gf and the black guy is still with the white girl
The whole Russian base under the mall was so stupid it took me out of it. Fucking spy kids tier silly.
agreed, he should have been aborted post natal
just as all the other children
whoever did the casting should be hanged, quatered and burned
>literally built in a town the U.S. government would be watching heavily after doing insane experiments there for years. Also when Hopper and Joyce first enter the old lab it fucking shows an active video surveillance camera recording them that is then ignored the rest of the season.
mega realism
>September 1989
wanna share with the class how you arrived at that conclusion you fucking retard?
September has the largest number of births.
This is why I've never watched it. Absolutely reeks overrated reddit/normie shit coasting off 80's nostalgia.
>ADHD MTV fest.
you summed it up pretty good.
he thinks he's hot shit since he got to be hellboy.
WIINONNA A CUTE. DO NOT BULLI
The newspaper at the end said like 30 people had died.
How was there a monster after credits? Wasn't the whole point of the plot to close the gate/rift so that the monsters in real world are cut off from the brain?
>tfw you missed out childhood romance
also I wish the entire season was just slice of life about them havin a good time
holy shit she is adorable in that
they should have expanded on the psyker breeding program/the farm from firestarter angle.
It was fucking trash from the beginning. I regret even finishing it. I just want my time back.
100%
>sneaks into top secret facility by cutting a fence and walking in
L u L w u t
Did Eleven reconnect with her mom last season? Does she just not want her around anymore?
He's a huge SJW and is trying too hard to be a macho action hero/bumbling overbearing dad.
The monster operated just fine in season 1 without being controlled. The whole point of it was that it was just a mindless animal hunting for food. Only season 2 had the mindflayer hijacking them to carry out its plans. I suppose the idea is that they were so infested that shutting out the mindflayer at that point also killed them, but it was probably was just a band-aid they had to apply to patch up the general shitty writing of season 2 and needing the mindflayer to piggyback on a monster you already knew in the first place so they could get their Aliens-style sequel idea off.
>s1 7/10
>s2 vaguely watchable but bad/10
>s3 0/10
Why didn't they kiss even once all season?
Bros, why didn't Hopper just run back into the control room? I mean he stood there looking at her acceptingly for like 5 seconds, he could've made it back. Why did this man want to die?
>his name?
>Arnold Schwarzenegger? hahaha
What did the mayor mean by this?
I wouldn't say it's only good because of nostalgia, its storyline keeps you in suspense and the episodes cut at really good moments
On rewatch when you know what's going to happen though is when it loses it's magic. It's a one-and-done show, not a rewatcher for sure. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it does keep it from being top kino
S1 was a fun homage to the tropes of the 80s, and S2 had some fun character moments sprinkled in there. I’m currently halfway through S3, and am still not engaged by the plot at all, and am frankly finding the characters more annoying than in seasons prior. Max and Lucas’ sister are cranked up to fucking 11, and even the core group of kids are getting on my nerves. It also feels like there’s a lot of filler (mainly the shit where they’re just milling about in the mall).
I miss Bob.
Throwing the Russian into the machine caused it to whip out lightning in a conveniently perfect wall cutting him off from heading back.
I think the real question is why he tackled the Russian from behind instead of picking up the machine gun he'd just dropped 5 seconds earlier and is still right behind the now distracted Russian. Or why didn't Joyce pick it up instead of watching them have a fistfight on the catwalk and spending even more time coming up with a way to turn both keys.
I just want ST to end and be forgotten forever which should’ve happened long ago. I want the Duffer Brothers to fade back into complete irrelevance and no-name status, and I want all of the kid/teen actors to overdose already and die. What a fucking shitshow. Completely worthless series which overran its course after s1.
It kinda seemed like the monster was originally supposed to massacre the carnival but the writers decided to pussy out.
2 episodes in and I'm thinking it lost steam
That's what I was expecting
Fucking turn the whole town into sludge and grow gigantic
That would have been some shit
There was really no reason for it to, considering it could've just converted the entire town quietly by doing what it had been doing. Why did it even need to build a big dumb body anyway?
this season should have been all about exploring what the upside down actually is and how the mind flayer came to live there. Instead its just the same crap as before.
she actually has written down in her contract for this season that she won't kiss any niggers again
Yikes.
I remember when Stranger Things was just this okay show I binged with a friend, only for it to become a big deal a few days later. Loved by a bunch of people who tell you it's better than all the 80's movies it apes despite having never seen said movies. Genuinely a glib facsimile.
Based
like, that's, totally problematic, right?
So is the excuse that the flayed just happened to be in the closed mall when it burned down? Because that's retarded.
>This season feels like a Stranger Things parody,
That's pretty much the best way to describe my feelings this season, it felt like the show was parodying itself. Or like SNL made a season of the show.
wtf are these abominations?
>Max and Lucas’ sister are cranked up to fucking 11, and even the core group of kids are getting on my nerves.
teenagers are more annoying forms of their tween selves.
who knew?
So why was The Terminator in the Hawkins lab? Was that ever explained?
yo what if..what if...the monster was...still alive and stuff, even though we like, closed the gate and shit at the end of last season in a big pivotal moment..what if that didn't matter and did absolutely nothing bro?
>holy shit how did we not think of this sooner, greenlight this!
Just children bro! Except the bottom left. that's a coke addicted adult woman.
la atrocidad de los usatdos de las americanos
As flawed as season 2 is, I think it has the best climax of all three seasons. It feels very raw and visceral, the music is great and I especially like when it drowns out everything else along with stuff like the lights in the Byers house getting affected by the raw energy Eleven is putting out, and Hopper looking at Eleven with a "holy shit she's actually something else" sort of look.
My only problem with it is how fucking absurdly high the power creep spiked because of this scene. I couldn't take any scene in season 3 that had Eleven in a perilous situation seriously, because all I could think about was how she absolutely btfo an elder demon god and fucking closed an interdimensional rip in space and time with her fucking mind. That should've been like the season 4 or 5 climax, not fucking second season
Finn Wolfhard is so fucking hot and cute holyshit
>Will is the 3rd most prominent person on the poster
>Steve completely absent
I bet the guy who made this didn't even watch the show beforehand
For that matter what the fuck was the point of all the chemicals the flayed consumed? They put so much emphasis on that and then it just leads to jack fucking shit.
>Member when Stranger Things was actually good?
No, Stranger Things was always a shit show just like most shows on Netflix.
Shut the fuck up and stop spamming these threads you fantasy-loving dork.
get help idiot
Winona overacts in everything she does. Even when she was younger like in Heathers. I still like her but she never learn to stop hamming it up her whole entire career
She got nerfed in season 3. Didn’t make any sense. But this entire season was a disaster
Yeah, not explaining this was a missed opportunity. The very least they could do is say that's what the Mindflayer eats.
Female Keanu
I think the idea is supposed to be that it's required to turn their bodies into goo, but it's extremely vague. I don't think the green gel canisters are ever explained either, and are also just " random shit we need to make the thing work."
Weren't they in a romance movie that came out earlier this year or last year?
Because she went all strong independent woman. He didn't actually do anything wrong, she just decided to leave him because she had convinced El to leave Mike and she anted to move in on her.
I'd thought that for a bit as well before realizing there would be no way for a cover up to work which would be necessary for the show to continue. Which is a shame since they were setting up a kino reveal shot from the top of the ferris wheel.
She doesn't even sell the greiving mother act in season 1
>Images you can hear
Beginning of the season tries to sell this as a subplot and then it just sort of sizzles out by the second episode. How bizarre
this. season 3 should have had humans as the villain, save the monster's return for season 4. Or have the monster just acting like a serial killer targeting people El cares about to break her spirit so she won't be a threat in the future
Do you think Dustin will tell Suzie that if she hadn't insisted he sing the entire song from Neverending Story Billy wouldn't have died and Hopper wouldn't have died/been transported to the upside down/in a Russian prison?
I think he should, she needs to learn that actions have consequences
This post reminded me that there was an extremely obvious product placement shot for New Balance shoes in Midsommar which bothered me for a second
Imo Season 1 ≥ Season 3 >>> Season 2
for convenience to the plot and no other reason ever given. just like they ignored that active survelliance camera they slow zoomed in on that showed Hopper and Joyce were clearly seen breaking into the lab probably by the U.S. gov who proceed to do nothing about it
she plays a good neurotic mess with how hammy she is.
I feel like the camera was being manned by the Russians. They just didn't outright follow up on it besides Arnold showing up there immediately. I kinda wonder if they're going to have the US and Soviet Union be secretly collaborating on the portals as an ebin tweest to explain away how implausible the mall situation is.
From the beginning they've hinted at phoenix similarities, so it always surprises me that they haven't just gone dark phoenix yet. You've got a entity that's all about possession and the greatest threat to anyone would be 11 possessed. It's so obvious that they must've ripped their hair out trying to do ANYTHING less obvious, even if it ends up shittier for it.
Season 3 was awful. Outside of the diversity episode season 2 was ok
The Russian shit was terribly ruined this whole season
That was my thought exactly, not to mention all their families and friends might have noticed them acting weird in the days leading up to their disappearances (sweating, eating fertilizer, etc)
there's no way in hell the U.S. wouldn't still be monitoring the entire town to the point it's literally implausible that the Russians could build a fucking secret base there unnoticed or that Russians could set up equipment to monitor inside a U.S. government former top secret lab facility where a major disaster occurred unnoticed.
>just turn off your brain broham
Dustin and Suzie singing was K I N O
she's adorable in everything
2 episodes left for me but after reading the threads I have no desire to watch the. Shame. Also a ST season without Hopper will definitely be a bad season lol.
BUT MY EYES ARE WIDE AND IM YELLING AND LITERALLY ACTING LIKE I HAVE TOURETTES CANT YOU SEE IM DISTRESSED AND GREIVING
The only thing season 3 did right was the female extras
why is episode 2 dude having a photosession with two underage girls at the mall hmm
s1 7/10
s2 6/10
s3 4/10
dropped
>s1 3/10
>s2 2/10
>s3 1/10
fixed
That little nigress, I like her, she's a math wiz and anti communist and pro capitalist
Better
I thought season 3 was great. Why wasn’t it?
You can tell that him and Steve are pretty much the only people who like playing their parts anymore.
no thats riverdale season 3 and it was fucking bonkers
>okay, you're greenlit for a season 2!
>oh shit, we didn't think this far ahead
Trash is the inevitable result of this, every time
Season 2 was a pointless rehash of season 1, which was a finished story. I dread to watch season 3
I love this guy, he's the only one who does quirky and wild right on this show. Everyone else just seems like they are overdoing it or unintentionally hamming it up.
she wouldn't care anyway, girls named Suzie are always psychopaths
>was terribly ruined this whole season
English, do you even speak it? Anyways russian bro was awesome until the very end.
it's fanfic tier now
>dude steve and dustin epic bros lmao
>dude mike and 11 lmao
>dude hopper so epic lmao
Fucking Christ she is so damn milfy and hot.
I just can’t get over how the main girl and the main dude legit look like lesbian lovers
It’s mind boggling and 100% on purpose
>I told them they should have sex
>They have not had sex?
>*both laughing*
Yea Forums BTFO
Have sex
>when they see your micropenis
Get it? Mall RATS? They're rats in a mall. The writers are geniuses.
Can't, they could be a Russian Spy.
Oops also to add
Sheriff Smithers or whatever the fuck his name is bulked up for hell boy
So their cope was to open him drinking beer and cuddling a Tostitos bag cause of his bulk
hahahahahhahha the state of creativity in the world
Are they shocked by the asses or shocked that that guy turned out to be a chad instructor?
S1: it was enjoyable enough
S2: really spaced out during the obvious backdoor pilot elements. But meh, didn't hate it
S3: it was okay.
It's fairly obvious they are playing each season by ear. Also the kids are aging way faster than their plot is and that comes off as rather awkward.
post butt shots of redhead
Steve - girls
Dorky kid - Chad
Momma Winona really can't get a break.
So who will she like in S4 who and ends up dying?
Why was Winona Ryder trying to break up Mike and El? Did her character take stupid pills? She has no reason to want them to break up. She should have told Hopper he's being a little bitch.
Man, 80's asses were nice.
Shit the bad the same way 2 did but spread it out more evenly.
Characters being turned into cartoony praodies of their previous selves
Cringe diologue/funny moments that don't land
Kid drama that is boring and dumb, even for kids.
Stupid ending
There's a million more things just browse the thread
what episode?
Mike
MAKE /SS/ MAINSTREAM AGAIN
If she had a thing for Hopper she had a really weird way of showing it..
lmao. Stranger Things is much better than Dark though
When your last lover was esploded for being involved with this shit...you might be hesitant to try again user.
2 I think
Absolutely false
