You're retarded, the 80s nostalgia is just set dressing. It's not needed to tell the story at all

Is the new season worth watching?

>DUDE REMEMBER HOW MUCH S1&2 WERE SPAMMED
you guys got pathetic

no, only s1 was good. like rick and morty.

If you like strong male leads dying so a black girl and lesbian can be added to the payroll in season 4, then yeah go for it

More than just those two. I know fucking everything about the girls around the boys who were originally supposed to be the leads (what they're good at, their aspirations, their thoughts about situations, etc), all I really know about the boys is that they like Ghostbusters and D&D, and that they have no thoughts or gumption when it comes to problem-solving or taking action because that's for the girls.

but what about le wacky fireworks plan xd

I love 80's nostalgia, synthwave etc... but I have absolutely zero fucking interest in this!!!FACT!!!

Oh yeah, that part where the redhead mentions that it was the black kid's plan for a second as they're walking out of the store, slightly muffled as background noise as it pans to the corrupted blood in the store. One of them kind of got a plan going.

of course the only one with a plan is the (((black))) kid. I mean, this season didn't even have Steve raid the sporting goods store at the mall for a baseball bat

he is not dead, you dumb fuck. He's in Russia.

Steve was so inconsequential. Name something he did that the lesbo didn't do better, besides his hair. Even when naming off their favorite movies this chick named The Apartment, The Hidden Fortress and Children of Paradise. They've literally made the men background noise or stupid to prop the girls up even further. It's a gross practice.

Dustin saves the day quite a few times, actually, and so does Lucas. Will has the sensitive thing, which helped them escape just in time a lot. And Mike is a little bitch, but what are you gonna do, his whole plot revolves around being in love with the show's mascot. But even he managed to stop Billy that one time.

he's dead you fucking retard!!!
THEY SHOWED HIM BEING VAPORIZED TO DEATH. THEY SHOWED IT. WHAT MORE DO YOU RETARDS WANT.

The American they have in Russia is either fucking Mayor or the bald jew /pol/tard that was Hopper's friend, you dunce

>t. fragile white male

he is not dead

Each one's supposed to represent a class in D&D. Lucas's supposed to be the gunslinger, so of course he's the one to come up with the plan about shooting the monster with fireworks. But Dustin literally:
>Builds a fucking radio tower that can communicate with Utah, what ultimately saves the day
>Finds out about a Russian operation undergoing inside a shopping mall
>Saves Steve and Robin from russian soldiers
If you're gonna lie about how "the nigger is the only boy who does something", then do it better.

>dustin
No, Dustin's antenna saves the day by allowing the women to communicate. Will's Mindflayer sensitivity came at mostly "no shit" times, like in the cabin when they already pieced together that they'd been found. Lucas has that one plan, and we know it was his by turning the volume up and listening to his girlfriend, but it was his and that's one single point.

First few episodes are slow and dumb, though it picks up towards end.

Why is the sheriff such a dick this season? I'm only on episode 2 and he seems like much more of an asshole than usual.

>>Builds a fucking radio tower that can communicate with Utah, what ultimately saves the day
His girlfriend saves the day, the mom turns the keys.
>Finds out about Russian operation
On accident, all clues and language solved by the lesbian.
>Saves Steve and Robin
The little black girl did the navigation.

In movie/show terms, they actually didn't show him die. They showed him there one second and not the next. They showed the Russians in suits getting vaporized, not Hop though. I don't care if he is alive or not, just saying, they could totally BS it and bring him back.

inb4 he wasn't vaporized but actually just teleported or something

You're lying out your ass. I'm on the second to last episode and jesus fuck, it was the worst one yet. Does the last episode fix everything or is it par with the rest of this season?

Attached: 1547838792759.jpg (247x204, 36K)

What the fuck is this show even about? I watched a random episode when I was visiting my parents while my dad had it going. From what I could tell it was a bunch of kids playing around in the woods letting their imagination get the better of them. Pretending they caught some ayyy lmao in a random bunker.
Can we make a show about my childhood playing? My friends and I would pretend to be all sorts of things while out playing in the woods over summer vacation.

They didn't show him being vaporized, you restless piece of shit. The people being vaporized were those russian "astronauts". Why would they bring the mayor to a new season? Why would the russians have the bald fuck if he managed to escape together with Winona Ryder? Narratively, the only things that make sense is that they have the cop. Otherwise that whole post credits scene is fucking useless. I can't believe I have to explain basic plot devices to someone older than twelve, god damn

dustin, steve and robin were based, they were easily the most interesting and entertaining parts even with the annoying sassy black girl attached

It's the same exact shit as the first two seasons
what can you expect user?

holy fucking onions. i bet you were all YASS SLAY KWEEEN the entire season

cus fuck whitey thats why

Fucking fragile manbaby

Who'd imagine an alcoholic who has seen a bit to much is an asshole.

It's the Goonies but with government conspiracies, monsters, and super powers.

They could pull whatever BS they want because they didn't show him die. I'm ready for it because it seems to be what popular shit does.

A lot of people are speculating that "The American" is El's doctor dad. I'm wondering if they're not going to pull some weird stupid turn-around where the Russians at the end are actually in the upside down and they imprison anyone they find that doesn't belong, so the cop could have been teleported and they found him. The reason why the little gay kid was never found is because the Russians had a specific location they were targeting on the other side.
Dilate.

Yeah, no shit he had help with all those. That's the fucking point. Other than Eleven, which has actual super powers, all of them are human beings who have flaws and virtues and aren't capable of much on their own. His girlfriend is the one to remember the Plancks constant, yes, but he's the one to think of this fast enough at the time. He didn't have internet, he couldn't just check it on his phone. He's the one to build a radio tower that could help bald guy navigate through the vents. Also, little black girl did the navigation? Robin cracked the code by herself? I just watched the show, you moron, you can't come up with shitty arguments as these. They did it together. Again, all characters contribute somehow. You're just mad because the girls have as much importance as the boys now. Grow the fuck up.

>Dilate.
Only if you help hun

Why don't normalfags care about Billy? He was an asshole in S2 who served little purpose, but he didn't deserve all the shit that happened to him this season.

basic rule of movies/shows, retard: they didn't show the body, then guess what? Character's not dead. Unless they pull a Walking Dead with Sophia (which they won't), Hopper's pretty much alive.

>black kid is the ranger so he’s the one shooting things
>Mike is the paladin so he’s the one coming up with plans and protecting his friends
What is Will really? How is he the wizard? He does nothing and his personality is completely blank, El is more like the wizard and Will might as well get written out of the show

no

I don’t like this world of gender equality, when can the Muslims just take over and enact Sharia law.

>Robin cracked the code by herself? I just watched the show, you moron, you can't come up with shitty arguments as these. They did it together.
Yes, she literally solved the code by herself. Were you high while watching or are you an actual retard? She had that whole beautiful mind scene where she found the silver cat, the Chinese restaurant and the clock. Fucking idiot. Moron. Turn your brain on, shithead.

shut the fuck up you schizophrenic idiot

No, I was very busy enjoying it without getting triggered every 3 seconds because I got to abide to /pol/'s obsession with jews or something.

>She had that whole beautiful mind scene
Someone sure is exaggerating

Oh my god were you actually absent for it or are you denying one of the biggest scenes?

The prisoner is most likely Dr. Brenner. Hopper is still in the upside down. It sets things up for a rescue mission and a reason to open up a gate for the fourth goddamn time. You are the retard.

>one of the biggest scenes
There you go again.

She figured out the language of the code, but they cracked it together on this very scene you just described, you amazingly stupid piece of shit faggot nigger. Watch the scene again. How can someone be so fucking stupid, god damn.

Did they ever actually give a reason for the Russians wanting to open the gate, or was it just Americans did it so we want to prove we can too?

>dude remember color grading?
I can't be the only one that was bothered by this, right?

Attached: st3.jpg (1500x1000, 766K)

>but they cracked it together on this very scene you just described
I forgot the part where Dustin also saw the silver cat guy deliver stock, went out of the store and spotted the Chinese restaurant, then made his eyes straight to the clock to find the yellow and blue hands. You're totally right. My bad. I forgot that Dustin went through the language and had that entire scene where he figures out literally every part of the code. You're so right. Haha, fucking mongoloid piece of lying shit.
Yes, it was huge because they found out how to find the Russians.

I feel like there was enough closure with the ending (if you cut out the post-credits scene), they really did a nice job of wrapping everything up. Would have been content if this was the end of the show.

Fuck off. Literally the only pandering scene was pick related

Attached: new-coke[1].jpg (640x360, 39K)

>Yes, it was huge because they found out how to find the Russians.
It's an element of an entirely larger series of scenes user, yes.

That is inside the realm of possibilities, yes. Quite a few assumptions you're making there, though. What the show MEANT to tease is that Hopper is the american they snatched, that's why they showed that whole post credits scene, which is otherwise pretty inconsequential. Could they have shown that just to tease the audience and eventually subvert the expectations? Sure. Hell, I say more than possible, it's actually probable. But they didn't even talk about Brenner this season, you're just assuming this, so don't act so high and mighty towards me, faggot. Point is: Hopper is not dead. That much is set in stone.

The same reason the Americans did it, I'd assume. Potential military value. Hence the demagorgon at the end.

I guess he's more akin of a warlock of sorts, since he's technically one of the only characters that can instinctively feel and had an connection to the "Monster", since he was influenced by it previously and survived. Either that or he's basically a tanky class cause of all the shit happens with him (S1 & S2).

youtube.com/watch?v=y-7Z1kTEkJM

I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that Will was just standing there most of the time with the same face, other than that gay rage that was never brought up again.
I wonder if it’s because the directors found out that kid didn’t have any range at all so they just gave him a limited role

It was the single scene to kick off the series of scenes. It's a big scene. She even had a whole "my genius ears" talk before the scene where you get to see her synapses working on a larger scale than her two tagalongs combined.

What were you watching it on? A TV inside the Fukushima reactor?

Yes user the band nerd is the smart one
Truly it must be propaganda.

Now that you mentioned it, they kind gimped his presence. They could have done so much more with that skill of "feeling him". This show got even more lazy with it's writing than last season.

Did somebody whack off all over Eleven's shirt?

Attached: dkhnsd.gif (877x465, 932K)

>play instrument
>be genius

It's a stereotype for a reason user.

Next you'll tell me Asians don't love the violin.

i bet you enjoy getting your hole gaped by niggers too, phoneposter

she literally just saw a guy and figured it out. Audience figured it out just as she did, completely out of luck. You're acting like they pulled out a feminist war cry of supremacy by making her into a super genius. Dustin's still the one to build a radio tower and intercept secret russian communication.

I watched it on a couple devices, but the contrast looked really blown out. It was completely fine during dark indoor scenes, but the daylight and outdoor scenes were really fucking distracting, especially after binging through the first two seasons which were pretty muted.

yes. it redeems the shitshow that was season 2

>Literally sees a silver cat on the shirt of a guy
>Is a genius for figuring it out
You can't be this retarded

It's not a good one. We also know Dustin goes to camps for particularly gifted kids and his crowning achievement was an accident from an antenna he built to talk to his (worryingly much younger looking) girlfriend.
>Audience figured it out just as she did
Yeah, that's being disingenuous though. The silver cat maybe, but she had the inkling from thinking about his logo as a delivery man many times, which the audience didn't know. The Chinese restaurant was basically a dead giveaway. The clock she stared straight at and was totally not obvious.
Above. Also they talk about how she's a genius for being a rug muncher in four languages.

This season was trash, I at least remember being mildly intrigued in S1-2 but all the eps in S3 were trash.

S2 and S1 proved that Will has hands down the most acting range of any of the kids, S3 just wasn’t about him, it was mainly about shilling the Ginger and 11s friendship

Will was literally connected to the main monster and they didn’t do shit with it, next season he better be the Anti-Christ..

You're the one who's always worried about niggers. Nigger this, nigger that. If I was so worried about this shit, I'd just stop watching these shows put up by those filthy liberal jews you hate so much. Hell, there's a single show on Netflix right now produced entirely by aryans with only white people in it. It's even a good show. But no, you keep coming back to watch the niggers in the american show. Just confess you're a nigger lover user.

If I remember correctly, they didn't even show the Chinese restaurant or the clock before that scene, so the audience couldn't know. But as soon as she saw the silver cat, it became clear they were talking about stuff from the mall. Once you crack the language of a code, the rest is easy to find. Also, yeah, a person who speaks 4 languages is pretty smart. Still doesn't compare to a kid who build a fucking radio tower out of trash, though.

Not acting high and mighty. The Russians, we can assume, don't have another gate open into the upside down. If they did they wouldn't have done the shit they did this season. Therefore, how would they have captured Hopper? The demagorgon was likely transported from the U.S. as evidenced by the cage and shock baton in the facility. There is not another known gate open, therefore we can only rationally assume Hopper is still in the upside down. The only American we know of that is MIA and worth the attention of the Russians as a prisoner is Brenner. None of my assumptions are without solid rationale.

>S2 and S1 proved that Will has hands down the most acting range of any of the kids
are you kidding? That kid had always been the most limited one of the kids
First season he was MIA.
Second season he could only do the screaming and mildly shaking face.
You could excuse him for acting like that in the first 2 seasons but this time it just proved that he couldn’t express any sort of emotions at all

Nah, he's a pretty good actor. Perhaps the best amongst the kids. He just didn't have a lot going for him, really. I think they didn't want to make him the one who's tormented by the monster yet again.

As I said, your logic is good. The theory is good. But that doesn't change the fact that the post credits scene is supposed to give the fans the hope that Hopper is alive. After all, the russian soldiers did vanish when the american soldiers arrived. Where did they go? How? Maybe your theory is right, but it you can just say it is 100% correct and you absolutely predicted the next season plot.

Can anyone else chime in? I want to know if I should start the torrent

>a person who speaks 4 languages is pretty smart
Not really. I speak three and I consider myself to be pretty fucking stupid. It's a wider range of communication to give your dumb opinions in, is the entire basis of being multilingual. This still doesn't divert from the fact that the boys, the original main characters (along with El, of course), are backburner characters. Why do I know Mike's sister's aspirations, her thoughts about her town and boyfriend, how fragile she is physically but how persistent she is in being a great field journalist, and I just know Mike likes El? They're building lore now and it's not around the gang we started with, outside of Dustin really who we now know is above average intelligence but still gets dommed by the girls around him.

POST /STG/ DISCORD INVITE

what do you got that is better to watch?

>but this time it just proved that he couldn’t express any sort of emotions at all
Are you retarded? Every emotion his character was supposed to portray in his (limited) scenes he nailed it, don’t know what you want the kid to do when he isn’t the focus of the scene besides react to the others acting

My cock in my hand

>Why do I know Mike's sister's aspirations, her thoughts about her town and boyfriend, how fragile she is physically but how persistent she is in being a great field journalist, and I just know Mike likes El?
To be honest it's easier to do with the older characters. We know more about Steve and Billy's inner lives and public lives than we do Mike as well.

>projecting this hard
wow i was just memeing and you doubled down on it. thats gonna be a yikes from me.

Will being reduced to" fuck girls I want to play D&D" and "dude guys I feel him he's near" all season was a waste of his character.

Watch both at the same time.

no. I was born 1988 so i don't.

Jumped the shark.

>will
>anything but a waste to begin with

Why are you assuming it was a scene to insinuate Hopper is alive? They already did that in like 3 different and very obvious ways before the post credit scene. There was no reason to push that any further. By that point they had left no doubt that he is in the upside down. The only logical conclusion that anyone with an IQ over 80 could make is that the person in the cell is not Hopper. May not be Brenner. But it is 100% not Hopper unless the writers are literal retards. So far they have shown they are not.

All the kids are a waste at this point besides 11, she’s the only one that can actually fight the monsters

>*bitches about everything*
>*be wrong every time*
>*never apologies or acknowledges it*
Yas you go girl

Ok

LOL same.

Something being easier is a bit of an excuse though. They've given Dustin a base now, he's a funky looking kid that's probably going to be an engineer, so there's a ton to be done with that. Actually, I was highly disappointed that the antenna was his only idea, considering the neat inventions they showed of his when he came back from camp. They've got so many possibilities to work with there. Will being a gay that can sense the Mindflayer is still a better base than the others, who they've given nothing.

Well it was the first season he wasn't lost in hell or possessed so you'd think they'd do something with him.

Mike doesn't do much either other than molest El and scream at people in his puberty voice.

Almost like a show based around ever growing in power supernatural enemies aren't capable of being fought by kids with sticks.

>DUDE REMEMBER

Attached: 91GpjAH EbL._SX600_.jpg (600x800, 55K)

So are Steve and Robin seriously not gonna fuck?

In s2 when eleven ran away

They probably had a hard time writing him because he’s an empty shell of a character without any personality. Even when the kids were at the mall doing normal he was still completely emotionless.
And when he had that outburst scene he butchered it with his over the top acting

Attached: Untitled.jpg (1903x957, 208K)

A lot of pedo foot fetish bait in this season

No one mentioned Jews, Benjamin. You’ve outed yourself schmuck

>this meme friendship was better than anything else the entire season

Is she actually meant to be a strong girl character because she is a very true to life dumb bitch

RIP, knew this nigga was toast once the ominous music during the dart game started playing

I’m disappointed with this season desu lads. Let’s hope IT chapter 2 will be a better finnkino

Hello Frogposter

Is it bad that I want to anally rape Millie Bobby Brown? She's so adorable and perfect bros.

Why don't we ever hear about the Dirty Wars the USA was fighting by proxy in Central America in the 1980s?
This was major news.
There were solidarity groups across the country protesting it.
Completely wiped out from the collective memory.

Attached: cispes80signs_cropped.jpg (640x534, 56K)

user, about the screentime of the kids in IT2...

somewhat... shit was better than it is now, that's a definite.

>'no one can beat the mindflayer except eleven'
>ordinary people just shut the laser beam off while eleven cant even do anything, defeating the flayer
can someone explain this writing to me

Don't worry about it. Now citizen have you fuflilled your Rusia drumpf tweet quota?

Remember the 90s dude? Good times

What does the Black kid contribute to the group?

>Dustin is the brains and comedic support
>Will is the upside down tracker to warn when monsters are back, and knows the monsters psyche and weaknesses
>Mike supplies a house to chill at
>11 fights the monsters
>Ginger is eye candy

So what does the black kid add?

Exvertation subtated

Pretty sure the Flayer technically resides in the world due to the initial release, but he can't take form unless a gate's opened.

Who’s the only one who stuck by with Mike when everyone just seems to shit on him

TOLL STATUS: PAID

oops

Attached: st3.png (1920x1080, 1.92M)

Probably still more than in st season 3

military surplus since his dad was in the army, muscle though not really.

So he’s a slave to Mike? Every time Mike got “shit” on, it was well deserved, that’s why Mike is always the one that apologizes

S3 wasn't the end of this schlock? How much longer can they extend the story and mmmmystery box?

>Dustin is smart
>Will can sense the Flayer after everyone's already spotted the clues that it's nearby
>Mike...?
>Black kid likes fireworks and plans to blowup monster
>11 superpowers
>Redhead takes sweet 11 and makes her a gross American girl, dumps the black kid a few times to make him obey, doubts literally everything, is literally there to corrupt good times and be a thick hunchback

11 is the muscle of the group and it’s not even close

Redhead knows first aid, nobody else does. More useful than the boys at that point, outside of Dustin.

Anyone else think robin a cute?

The point of Mike this season is that he was right about everything but nobody listened. He was right about Eleven using her power to much and he was right about Will being a fag who should grow up

Mike is the one always taking the initiative, coming up plans and gathering everyone in his base. It’s probably not that clear because the storylines are split into a hundred parts

Absolutely. Does she and hairguy get a sex scene? Can't wait

>He was right about Eleven using her power to much
Lucky guess. I mean the nosebleed should've been a clue, but she started to care less about the nosebleeds.
Name one of his plans.

>He was right about Eleven using her power to much
No he wasn’t, nothing bad happened to 11 once via using her powers a lot
>he was right about Will being a fag who should grow up
He was wrong, Will never came out the closet so him being gay is rumors, Will also more mature than Mike because he isn’t thirsty and pussy whipped for a 5/10 MBB

>Absolutely. Does she and hairguy get a sex scene? Can't wait
should we tell him?

>A trip to China sounds nice.

What did they mean by this?

Attached: vlcsnap-2019-07-06-03h55m34s068.png (1920x1080, 1.33M)

They actually went over all the roles in Season 2. Mike lists them when he's talking to Max in the gymnasium right before Eleven gets jealous and uses her powers to kick out Max's skateboard from underneath her.

Mike is a Paladin. the classic Lawful Good hero.
Eleven is a Mage. Pure blaster and clairvoyance.
Lucas is a Ranger. Ranged attacks with the slingshot and is always playing lookout.
Will is a Cleric. Mike says this but I would agree more with the Warlock thing. I could see it though, since he's the cornerstone to their entire friend group.
Dustin is a Bard. Jack of all trades, comic relief.

Max asks to be a zoomer (lol, how relevant that term would become) and Mike says there's no such thing and can't place what she is. It's clear that she's a Rogue since she lockpicks the door when Dustin is showing them the baby Demodog and sneak attacks Billy with the syringe when he's beating on Lucas and Steve. Makes sense that the rogue would hook up with the Ranger.

Steve is definitely a Fighter since he consistently is told he has low mental stats and does all of the muscle and fighting work for the nerd party.

I wouldn't place Nancy or Jonathan.

Billy is definitely a Barbarian because of all the rage.

I would put Robin as a Bard (she plays in band, comic relief) and Erica as a Rogue as well (climbing through spaces, high INT and good with math, always looking out for herself and constantly trying to negotiate for rewards, etc.)

They can't kill my boy so I'm guessing she dies

>Will never came out the closet so him being gay is rumors
hello noah

Did you forget the part where she literally lost her power?

noticed that as well lol

his death was not warranted, it was not the culmination of his arc, as a matter of fact he barely had one this season. His death is supposed to be this emotional thing and all I could think was "damn that didnt feel earned at all, they didnt build up to a sacrifice even a little bit before this." I'll admit the letter scene closing out the season was great but it rang a bit hollow because it was attached to such an underwhelming season with flanderized characters and a formulaic plot that does nothing to explore the universe or properly expand and develop its characters outside of obnoxious bickeri- er, I mean "'""""witty""""" dialogue.

So we pretty much all agree that the Russians at the end are upside down Russians and the Russians in America were focusing a beam that strong for that long because they were trying to reach that base, right?

Mike said Dustin was a Bard though so he is. Bards can tinker.

Rogues are known to have tons of skills. Healing could be one of them.

Pretty sure anyone can tinker and heal. He's not very bardlike.

No. Season 3 is worse than season 2 and season 2 was barely worth watching.

Hopper and Billy dying was the most masculine and manly shit that a man could ever do you complete and utter pussy cocksucker. And Hopper isn't dead he jumped in the Upside Down portal you complete and utter dumbass.

And the lesbian was chill

Shouldn’t Will have lighting powers? Didn’t an electric alien take him away in S1 and he was talking to his mom through the radio, lights etc when he was in the Upside down?

>the lesbo names off three patrician films
>the guy running the video store is also a patrician, but is also a complete dork-ass bitch and pretentious
>hairy styles knows nothing about movies at all and gets snatch movie guy can only dream about
What the FUCK did they mean by this?

the writers are saying fa/tv/irgins will never get gfs

No. I'm pretty sure the portal to the upside down is just opened so well that their proximity in location makes the vale just weak enough for him to communicate if he tries hard enough.

The lesbian was okay, they even could've gotten away with making it a big deal since it's the 80s and all that. Billy's death was good, but Hopper dying pissed me the fuck off. I would be shocked if he was actually dead, it just didn't feel real.

It's literally the same plot as s02

>gate opens
>mind flayer starts possesing people
>main protags fight him and close the gate to beat him

they desperately need to introduce more depth to the upside down world, not just generic flesh monsters that were done to death already

you are both retarded
it is clear as day he escape into the upside down

No please no steal finn from me

>pedo
She's 15 years old. Women are done maturing sexually by 16.

Don't listen to this dumbass. Season 3 is a more refined version of Season 2 but the first is still the best.

>Hopper isn't dead he jumped in the Upside Down portal
So even if he did it's been three months he's dead as fuck by now.

I'm 33 minutes into the first episode and after watching the colored feller spit into a canteen I'm calling it quits

Will Dustin tell Big Suze that their song cost two lives?

chinese eat dogs

I didn't understand why the monster died when the gate was closed. Wouldn't it make him trapped again in the human world?

Who cares? Steve dodged a bullet.

Stranger Things would be so much better if all the kids had powers, not anything over the top but something tame like Power Rangers tier. And the Upside Down needs a humanoid villain with actual motivation and charisma, these playdoh plant face monsters are ass.

He's leading a ragtag group of demogorgs, rebelling against the hivemind.

she a cute tho, a cute

>Big Suze
kek

She looks so much smaller and younger than everyone else. Turns out she's fucking 16 irl. Holy shit.

You clearly don't understand the dynamics of the show. Get out.

It's like if you leave your hand in the fridge when you close the door. It gets hard to control.

They explained it pay attention son.
The monster was just a pile of meat remote controlled by that big shadow bug thing you saw at the end of s02. When they closed the gate they cut off it's connection.

I liked that during Steve and Robins conversation when they were tied to the chairs on the floor, a track from the Day of the Dead soundtrack was playing. Thought that was neat.

based

Already explained as a theory in this thread. Vale beasts need to have a gate open in order to exist physically, but they can remain here until a gate opens ala what the Mindflayer did when he dissipated in season 2.

Maybe the real villain is in the upside down controlling the mindflayer and when the portal closed it cut off its control.

That would be legit better than the boring winded story arc the took frtom s01 and repeated two more times.
I want like 80% of the screen time to be dedicated to the upside down stuff and 20% to the boring character development and not the other way around.

Give us a season that is entirely focused on hopp surviving in upside down and finding like other people trapped there and shit, would be 100 times better than this shit

I do think the show is still succeeding in several areas but they've really abandoned the upside down which was the most compelling concept they had.

It became more than set dressing.

In the last episode where they take time out of the climatic end to the series to spend 3-4 minutes singing the theme to Never Ending Story. The only think I could think of was "Remember the 80s"

Exactly. Upside down is the only reason i watch the show.
It sure as fuck isn't oversaturated 80s references and annoying characters.
And in this season nobody went into the upside down even once.

>Predictable cardboard cutout bad guys
>Comical sludge tentacle monster screaming like a dinosaur like every other monster in every other movie/show ever, its special powers being sludge, big, break things, and control people
>Monster is sludge but not sludge when the good guys need to harm him
>Deus ex machinae level of writing, good guys constantly in "oh no imma die" pinch and someone teleports at the very last micro second to save them
>Weapons have never ending ammo unless the writers need them to end
>Two kids T-bone Billys car at full speed without wearing seat belts and both are just fine
>A vast russian facility built under an american small town and no one noticed how it wouldve taken huge construction efforts and tons of resource, and no one noticed it anywhere???
>yasss slay queen 10v niggerkid who gets to tell everyone they wrong, adults and kids alike coz slay queeen

I wouldve made the show immediately better by writing the monster as a more non-corporeal, inevitable, almost lovecraftian cosmic doom.

Am i the only one who notices stuff like this or do you all have rose tinted glasses on?

The Russians got him. He's the America at post credits scene. If Will can survive Hopper can. Plus the whole,'leave the door 3 inches open'

Unless the duffer bros are those kind of faggots who rewrite their entire plans because they saw someone online figure it out.

>Unless the duffer bros are those kind of faggots who rewrite their entire plans because they saw someone online figure it out.
Imagine being such a hack writer that you need to change plans instead of doing the same plan with a better execution.

He was non corporeal. The meat was just a puppet.

A fair point, but to the viewer that sludge thing was the real monster as it was the one shown, it was pretty easy to forget the other side of it.

Fucked i posted in a wrong thread
Originally each season was supposed to be taking place in a completely different town focusing on completely different characters. I Really wish they did that instead of this.
It is clear they had only enough upside down and mk ultra lore written up to support one season and then they stretched it into 3, which is why the following two seasons are basically the first season copy pasted.

Oh and also, it wouldve been just fine if there was no dinosaur/godzilla screams coming out of it, instead just complete silence, and only the sound of sludge moving, that shit would be creepy.

I didn't feel very emotional because I hated the scenes with Hopper and Joyce and that weird horny jew conspiracy theorist and man baby Russian scientist. None of that humour landed, it ruined the few real feeling scenes of Joyce and Hopper and it went on till near the end.

that way also, they couldve utilized Will´s powers of sensing him coming ,since you wouldnt otherwise be able to really tell. Maybe i should be the writer for the next season.

That's a cool idea, but people would've hated it. Just like with Season of the Witch

Yeah that bugged the fuck out of me. The Mindflayer is an intelligent being that can use physical beings to communicate using their minds. Why did this meatbag roar?

You know what my reply to you was just a nitpick I cant really argue with you. I enjoyed this season but you're definitely right about its flaws.

I dont even think they ever really planned what the upside down was, or what the monsters even are. What did bug me a lot was the weird motivations by the Mindflayer. Does he just want to kill everything...? For no reason because he's a monster...?

Yeah, i had similar critique for the army of dead in GoT, instead of comical zombie noises have them be completely silent with only the sound of of bones and rusted armor rattling, wouldve been twice as creepy in an instant.

This show fuckin blows. So overrated. Go figure it trends on twitter. It appeals to normies for a reason. It's low-rent pleb trash. Watch Dark instead. It takes the missing kids sci-fi thriller theme and shits all over it and then some.

Weird innit. Billy is going around getting shit done and the big goo can't even get one out of ten kids in a mall

I want Will to have a blond blue-eyed boyfriend.

My dad is just an old normie and I remember him watching the showand getting into it. After it was done he asked me if it was supposedto be an anthology series. They really did give the impression that it was supposed to move on for a lot of people. I remember seeing people talk about it a lot online too.

>Does he just want to kill everything...? For no reason because he's a monster...?
Yeah exactly, this falls back to my point of cardboard cutout bad guys, no depth to any of them.

Hard to move on from success.

I dont think any paranormal supernatural horror TV show will ever be topped by Twin Peaks the Return for me. I like some of the characters in Stranger Things though.

Attached: Twin-Peaks-The-Return.jpg (1400x700, 92K)

Yeah and imagine if they got a batch if shitty child actors like the episode 7 xmen kids.

>ywn co-direct with David Lunch

what the hell is this

Attached: tumblr_9405d4e26f7cb542a44f8555a79793a3_db1772f4_400.gif (332x332, 1.53M)

So the writing gets repetitive and is full of plot holes, they dyke up some girl, ruin Hopper and ruin Will and Mike? Season 2 was still watchable, but I guess I'll skip season 3.

lmao how much does he hate her

Oh I thought you were talking to the Russians, which also bugged me. It's a shame too because I remember back on Season 1 reading interviews where they said Silent Hill was an inspiration for them and everything about the monsters informs you about the characters especially on 2. So that's where I thought they were going with it. The Demogorgon looked like a flower, and Brenner gave Eleven a flower before her first encounter with the monster. And the portals are likened to wounds. So I was hoping there would be more to it than an completely unrelated mindless alien. They dont even seem to have any world building for the supernatural elements what so ever. I know not everything should be answered, it isn't in Silent Hill and Twin Peaks. But it's so fucking shallow the goddamn Dark Realm in Zelda has more going on.

It would be fine if they actually put some effort into writting and not just rinse and repeate
>gate opens, monster escapes, close gate, monster dies
over and over again

Yea, Imagine being a game of throne's writer

imagine being the fat guy who writes the books and now everyone will think his story ended up shit because of the fucked up last season even though he didn't write that, but 90% of people watching the show don't know that and will never read the books

in s1 hopper was that out of his league lone ranger investigator WHO was not dumb at all for fucks sake
this season they make him some clumsy brute that has no people skills whatsoever
it starts with him not being able to talk to eleven and mike properly. for gods sake he is the chief of police and former big city cop! am I supposed to buy he is not able to talk like a real person and that he's just threatening mike because """"REASONS"""" ? saw through that bullshit right away

My guess is, with their first season coming out they went far and hard on world building, what to show and what not to, and special meanings on things, to catch an audience. And once it blew out in popularity like it did, they were too scared to take risks of making anything deep or complex so its easy for everyone to chew on. Its a kiss of death for any show, it underestimates the viewer´s intelligence

>they dyke up some girl
it's chasing amy basically
and her scenes with steve alone are well done but that's it

This is sexual assault

The boy is weird as shit

i had to turn the subtitles on to undertand what the niglet girl was saying

There are so many story lines they could develop with the upside down, but they aren't expanding the lore at all.
We are 3 seasons deep and still are stuck only with demo dogs and mind flayer shadow bug

That sounds like it makes sense to me.

It's so sad though.

it was so over the top
why would she speak like that? wouldn't only negroes in communities that are majorly black speak like they are retarded?

>TFW you realize 80's nostalgia has been going for 30 fucking years
>30
>FUCKING
>YEARS

Enough already, fuck off. Get some better shit. I'd genuinely prefer fucking Kurt Cobain's corpse over yet another 80's nostalgia bullshit with fucking Atari 2600's and David Cocksucking Bowie everywhere.

Sounds like they wrote a cool girl that had good scenes with Steve, but then went for "subversion" and gay brownie points.

anyone noticed how they have no clue WHY the russians had to build a super secret doctor evil tier base in america?
or what do they even want with the doorway

Honestly i wouldn't mind at all if they did like a time skip where the kids are all grown up and it's like 2015 or some shit and the episode starts with hopp falling out of an upside down portal and it was only like a week for him
We already had enough of 80s memes anyway

>WHY
Because the door to upside down can only be opened in that area where the barrier between dimensions is weak.
And the reason why slavs want it is obvious, they want to weaponize the monsters from upside down before burgers do it.

That's what I'm saying. It looks like they had symbolism down for the monster, like how in Silent Hill monsters were psychological projections, but it was just nothing to it. If they didnt plan to go to season 2 with the same plot I dont think they thought they even needed to. So now it's just all so obvious they had no really interesting world.

If Hopper is really in there MAYBE we could get something but it just looks like it's going to be the same shit with the Russians dragging a demogorgon out. And it's just... how the characters will deal with it without elevens powers is interesting but they'll probably just do some dumb shounen shit with her getting them back. The world is just empty.

It always felt like that was the point to me. Steve's entire arc was thar you dont need what everyone else says you need. That want only girls you disnt think were popular but relationships in general. You need to learn to validate yourself too. Not that relationships are bad.

The wanted the demogorgons as weapons bwcause they're unironically comic book villian tier deep. It's literally just because it's the cold war. They had a demogorgon cage with a demogorgon tazer because apparently that's a thing.

basically
steve has no arc whatsoever
neither do will, lucas, max, dustin, nancy and her coke bf forgot his characters name
utter shite tier

That would be great, having that character dynamics with the kids having grown up and Hobbs still the same age, or maybe him having grown also older but been a prisoner inside the upside down and the mental impact of that, either way would be cool to watch really. For this season i was really expecting it be set in the 90s since we never get anything cool from the 90s anymore.

Unsurprisingly,Yea Forums its still full of retards

>DUDE REMEMBER THE 80S
DUDE REMEMBER THAT SHOW PEOPLE LIKE SO I NEED TO HATE IT

>DUDE REMEMBER THAT SHOW PEOPLE LIKE SO I NEED TO HATE IT

Attached: 800px-Rian_Johnson_by_Gage_Skidmore.jpg (800x954, 144K)

The Duffer Jews plagiarized the whole story so they had to make shit up in season 2 and 3.

Haha I dont believe you prove it with pics an webm's

NONE OF YOU FAGS REMEMBER THE 80S

great writing there
>cold war
>they really want the upside down
let's write our own head canon then
how do the ruskis know the americans have a gate openend? okay let's say spies
don't these spy reports and numerous odd cover up stories that appeared in hawkins right after something big happened indicate that the upside down is not to be messed with and highly dangerour and obviously not managable for humans?
guess not. so the ruskis fund a whole mall and a top tier superlab beneath that mall in that lab is a machine that by itself cost multi tens of millions of dollars to build. the ussr simply funds a project that failed for the americans twice for an insane amount of money and puts the most cartoonish evil villain in charge who has a henchmen that speaks with the thickest fake russian accent you can think of?
pretty great writing if you ask me

S3 wasn't exactly bad but it was so slow. It really didn't need 8 episodes to tell this very simple story.

Big monster was disappointing as fuck, it barely did shit. Upside Down appeared for like 20 seconds in the entire season. Every girl being ultra competent and right almost all the time got annoying. Hop became a fucking Rambo capable of murdering KGB commando squads which makes zero sense. And that fucking Trump parody dude. Seriously, when the fuck will American writers get over Trump?

Attached: 1445298045519.jpg (601x601, 73K)

Too bad we will just get the plot from s01 over and over again because they are too scared to change it when the show pull in lots of views and attention
And once even normies get bored of the repetition and numbers start falling then instead of actually writting original plot for once the show will get cancelled because the numbers are falling
sad
we are trapped in shit basically

I heard that the last few days, can you link me some shit to see if there is any truth to it? Would explain why especially season 2 was so bad

>far better music
>far less diversity
>no social media bullshit
>no smartphones
>Cold War still going making everything 10x more interesting

It's fucking hilarious how people see 80's as some utopia these days.

Steve's arc is about how he doesn't need anything to validate himself, he doesn't need to be popular or have a girlfriend, he's already a fully realized human even if he's not yet a sucessful man.
His arc was divided into two sections.
1. Realizing that he doesn't need to keep pinning for cool points and that it's ok to be weird and have feelings for the weird girl.
2. Realize that he doesn't need to be in a relationship with a woman to be happy, and that having a friend who's as good as Robin is already good enough.

You have to be a literal brainlet to miss that, honestly.

They literally admit in interviews that they were """inspired""" by Elfen Lied.

I think shes trying to french and he's not diggin' it

Wait what? Isn't that that anime about high school girls with magic brain tentacles?
I don¨t see the connection apart from 11 telekinesis

he just wanted to spok them

There's a lawsuit against them because someone pitched the story in season 1 to them then they rejected it then they pitched it to netflix and took credit.

Can someone get me a screengrab of Bald Eagle telling Smirnoff "I told them to have sex" and also one of them laughing, with the subtitles on both (duh)? I can stitch them together but I don't have the ability to screenshot on my vanilla S9
I wanna shitpost with it on Yea Forums and Yea Forums

Can some starving writter even win a lawsuit like that where they are against an army of big boy lawyers with no proof? How are you going to prove you wrote the story first and that they stole it?

Either of these seem possible.
Will was just the damsel in distress in the first season, so they never developed a character for him. In the second season, they realized he had nothing going on and basically just damseled him again. Third season they still didn't know what to do with him, but they could have him be the center of super natural shenanigans three times running, so he was just kind of there.

Though it's not like Lucas and Mike had a whole lot going on either, other than pining for their respective girlfriends.

the first point was already done in sesaon two
second one is not really in. he was friends with her and wasn't ashamed of it in the first episode.
he realized he's falling for her and when she comes out to him he's oddly cool with it and you can see he accepts it right away. we don't see him struggle with that at all and why would we to be honest, he's already the dude that has no problem to befriend a cool chick even if he can't be with her since season two

>don't these spy reports and numerous odd cover up stories that appeared in hawkins right after something big happened indicate that the upside down is not to be messed with and highly dangerour and obviously not managable for humans?
to be fair do you expect anyone to pass that opportunity up? "oh uh theres some interdimensional shit but its so le dangerous! even though some rural retards managed to deal with the problem lets just leave it"

>Will's Mindflayer sensitivity came at mostly "no shit" times, like in the cabin when they already pieced together that they'd been found.
I'm honestly surprised no one called him out on it. "Shut up, Will, we know!"

THERE WHITE WALKERS LMAOOOOOOOOOO xD

No, he isn't.
He was in the process of becoming that person in season two, but that wasn't fully realized until now, he still had doubts about himself that originate from his old jock persona.

>le dangerous
so people in charge in the ussr are on anons level of sarcastic hybris and thus decide to just meme their way into the united states?
makes sense

That writer is about to win because he gave the duffer jews materials/scripts when he pitched it to them.

Just a reminder they only killed basically mind flayer's severed tentacle this season, so the next season will also be about mind flayer coming back yet again after some deux ex reason opens the portal again

you seem faggot
also these are soviets

didn't
hung out with the kids
playing babysitter on the bench
was fine with all of that
helps out dustin. goofs around with him from episode one.
steve was already an alright dude
the only thing this season did was make him fall in love with a girl that won't ever fall in love with him and he's like "oh" and then they proceed to interact in the same way they did the entire season

The product placement was really bad this season. This scene was the pinnacle, but it was full of stuff like full center screen 7-11 logos.

I am glad. He is clearly a decent writter and they should fire those incompetenct hacks and replace them with this writter so we can actually have a good story line for once

he just jumped into the fucking portal before the Byers cunt closed it. I call it,100% this.

Entire 11 plot is almost a direct copy of Elfen Lied plot. Down to papa and her finding local kids who help her.

Yeah, this season was basically filler to establish Russians and Mind Flayer organic weapons.

He came up with the firewor- wait, shit!

You're absolutely missing the point.
Yes, he hung out with the kids, played babysitter and goofed around with Dustin, but he was absolutely not 100% ok with that, he clearly still had insecurities about his identity as he isn't the prom King anymore and that bothers him.
If he wasn't insecure he wouldn't have made a game out of asking girls out, or pretended he didn't like Robin at the start of the season.
He still interacts with Robin in the same way because he was never in love with her, he felt attracted to her but it was 100% about who she is as a person and how she made him feel good about himself as a friend rather than an actual partner.

Mike did basically nothing this season.

he was completely okay with that
and he wanted to be with her obviously since he wanted to know if she felt the same way about him
she doesn't so he accepts it like any normal person would
he's no different from season two

flayer was supposed to be killed in s02, in s03 we should have been at a point where us like has a military base built in the upside down and some blakc vein related shit happens and turns them into evil zombies or some shit

same goes for Will

It's hard to do shit when you have to share screen time with 12 other protagonists in a show that has only 8 episodes per season

Don't forget all those Burger King shots

I get a little less excited for S4 each time I remember ourguy Billy is dead

They really didn't do much with him did they. Bummer. At least he died heroically.

I don't really mind product placement, it can makes it more authentic, I mean who the fuck drinks "soda" you drink fucking coke, but it was a bit too obvious

Season 3 is way better than season 2. Not that that's saying much, consider what a trashfire season 2 was.

>7 feet bro
>oh shit the mind flayer's control over me is now broken

Was there any cringeshit like the X-Men rejects last season or copout moments like Bob's death?

Shit was corny. This season had me scratching my head and groaning. But whatever, it was amusing.

what a forgettable shitshow

dyke girl was ironically the best addition this season.

At least he was the monster detector.

what trump parody dude

This holy shit.

>Was there any cringeshit like the X-Men rejects
Fuck no, thank goodness.

>or copout moments like Bob's death?
One, for sure.

someone give this girl a fucking sandwich already

the actress is renowned for being a cokehead, along with her orbiter (who was denied entry to the US two years ago because of it)

Laughably bad.

>Erica
>not peak cringe
pick one

Aw shit, I misread it as, "Were there any X-Men rejects". I should go to bed.

First season was a solid 9/10 for TV standards. S2 was 7/10 with some really bad parts. S3 was better than S2 but nowhere near first season.

>super sekkret slav base on us soil
>not a single guard posted at the entrace or a single security camera so anyone can just open the gate and ride the elevator down without anyone knowing

-
>El's powers be weaksause
>They didn't even consider using fire to kill the flayer even though anything hot was it's biggest weakness in season 2
>Robin being a lesbo was so fucking pandering and stupid. Harrington deserves to get his dick wet for once
>Robins speech about how all the unpopular kids secretly wants to be popular was so fucking stupid.
>Everything that was going on was very poorly explained and translated onto screen. Like why the flayer just died when the portal was closed or what the deal was with all those clones that Billy saw in the beginning that didn't even seem to matter.
>Too many subplots that's utterly convenient to one another.
>Generic russian bad guy
>Billy is the lamest character and even lamer as a bad guy

+
>The Alexi character
>Dustin and Harrington relationship
>That scene when Joyce were to throw the gun to hopper was pretty fun
>Didn't even touch the stupid subplot that was s02e07

All and all I don't want subverted expectations with shit like "I'm actually a lesbo hurr durr". I want a satisfying plot even though it might be somewhat predictable. Harrington have transformed from season one and deserves to find someone to put his dick into. To clarify, I don't care whether the characters are gay or straight but don't bait a romance an entire season just to end up with this "all he needed was a friend" shit. He already have that special friendship with Dustin. Basically everyone else is finding love in season 2 and 3 except for Harrington.

yes, it was american series, so much yelling, puking and farting

>somehow, said guards suddenly appear during the escape when the plot demands it

A 6 would be generous for season 2. A 7 is right out.

What os the difference between pandering and whatever the opposite of pandering is?
If you can't answer thar you just look like you hate faggots.

The entire show panders to people who remember the 80s. How can you be mad over this

>"I'm actually a lesbo hurr durr"
More like
>"You made me wet since I met you, Steve. I'm a lesbo btw, silly boy :>)"

But weirdly enough they put cameras on the abandoned laboratory that has nothing of value and the Russian discount terminator shows up immediately.

They explained why the flayed died when the wall vaginal is closed.

>Like why the flayer just died when the portal was closed
Everything else is valid, but holy shit how did people not get this? They fucking beat the audience over the head with the fact that the mindflayer was remote controlling everything from the other side and that closing the gate would stop it. They wouldn't stop repeating that same fact, over and over again, and yet somehow (seemingly quite a few) people still didn't grasp it.

should've shown the thing at least once then

Sounds like you're just a stupid faggot who's trying to ignore that people also shit on the 80's pandering when it was overt and not organically woven into the plot.

>B-But it's not pandering!
When you release news about including in a gay character and then reveal it as a plot twist, it is absolutely fucking pandering.

>somehow the guards in the beginning guarding the door never noticed Dusting spying on them literally 20 meters away in full view of them, wearing the brightest colors possible

Yeah its shit like this constantly repeated throughout that completely takes me out of it and reminds me more of a straight to TV b movie

You are all getting triggered over nonsnes like Robin is a dyke and product placement but really the most annoying thing about this show was the flashbacks sometimes to the episode directly proceeding it, for fucks sake we don't need a flashback to a scene that happened 20min ago

It absolutely smells of writing a new love interest for Steve, and then at the last second saying, "Hey, but wouldn't it be neat if she was gay?" and then instead of going back and changing the early parts of the story to fit that, they just hamfistedly tried to explain away her obvious desire for him after the fact.

Honestly, to me, it smelled more of this cocksleeve.

Attached: RIAN-JOHNSON-827339.jpg (590x848, 61K)

The fuck? Why? Do you really need the unknowable nightmare to be shown on the other side of the portal shaking its fist shouting, "I'll get you next time, Eleven! And your little friends too!"

That bugged me so much during last season that I didnt even think to mention it. I hate how they assume people are dumb as shit. It takes me right out of any scene.

Literally how the fuck else would you make a faggot in your show? Tell me how'd you do it or give me a non pandering example.

please someone feed this skeleton

What? Ive never talked about his motivation or whatever, im just chiming in, chill out dude and get your head checked

I thought I was a dumbass. Every day I'm proven wrong and it terrifies me.

I wouldn't put such degeneracy in my show.

>look bloody bottle
>he had a cut must have been hit
>flashback to last episode when he got hit
it was so fucking insulting

>How can you possibly have a gay character without building up a straight romance then revealing they're gay as an epic twist at the end?
You can't be this stupid.

Theres nothing wrong with yelling at strangers God damn it.

>you let us in
>and now we're going to end everyone
this is motivation?

I wouldn't

Why has no one posted the "Imagine" copypasta?
