If they landed where they were supposed to, like the Brits and Canadians did, they could have just walked up on short with only token resistance.

Too inaccurate. V1/2 programs were giant wastes of time/resources that killed more building than in use. Even in combat they only were used to kill civilians and had no military value due to their huge inaccuracy
