This show was the absolute epitome of mediocrity and had every typical netflix flaw.
It's poorly acted, poorly directed, the story is flawed, it's a horror series which isn't scary, it's melodramatic, everything looks like a newly constructed set and the art direction is absolutely terrible.

Everything i've ever heard about Korean tv is that it's largely extremely melodramatic soap operas and abject garbage variety shows. If there was a genuinely great Korean drama series, I just assume that it would have been distributed in the west and I would have heard of it. I'd be extremely surpirsed if they have anything to even vaguely hold a candle to the large canon of great American tv shows.
Korean film on the other hand does have some greats. I watched a Lee Chan Dong film (the guy who dir Burning) last night 'Secret Sunshine' and thought it was brilliant.
