Just watched the trailer. Wtf it was made in 1985 and feels like a 2000's film. I didn't know they acted like that in the 80's!

The Thing is overrated. None of the characters are fleshed out enough. It's a competent ensemble cast horror but it's just full of one dimensional stereotypes. The characters don't have any depth or serve as anything more than expendable plot devices. You could fully describe all of the characters and all of the relationships in the film with one line.
If the character drama was stronger then it would be scarier too, because you'd actually care about the characters. But you don't. And so The Thing isn't scary.
In most other respects, yes, it's 10/10.
Alexander Sanders
hereditarty did have a jumpscare

This shit actually lived up to the hype when I watched it last halloween for the first time.
Blake Young

The Wailing was the scariest horror film i've ever seen.
It's just more of a black comedy for the first half, and it's quite long, which in the age of binge watching miniseries honestly doesn't even bother me.
But if you got bored the scary latter half probably won't work for you.
It's also pretty cool in that it's a mystery film which isn't explained to you and has room for contention.
Hudson Roberts
Jose Hughes
Camden Russell
Kevin Myers
We're all happy that you enjoyed it and that it apparently wasn't over-hyped to you (this can happen even with great films).

Can i hear an actual argument for why Hereditary is bad?
Grayson Wright
Benjamin Kelly
it's gay
Luke James
This one was pretty unsettling, the snuff film aesthetic really was pretty terrifying
Nolan Miller
Okay but how, what’s gay about it?
Nolan Long
It's slow burn bullshit so cliché it's copy and pasted from a load of other similar movies like the witch, the innkeepers, house of the devil, etc. The horror that they do show is only there to keep your attention, it's out of place and doesn't move fluidly with the story. It's fucking boring and i'll be goddamned if I ever watch another "horror" movie like that again.
Joseph Thompson
A Blade in the Dark probably is a better film, but Demons is by far Lamberto Bava most entertaining. So yeah, 10/10.
Caleb Harris
David Peterson
It sucks dick.
Christian Brown
I consider it one of the best serial killer movies ever made.
Jordan Cook
Masterpiece. Such a weird art style and mood.
Zachary Clark
I didn’t think it was that slow burn, they had enough eventful moments to keep you focused and some of them were rather disturbing. Also I don’t like the whol argument of one horror movie taking ideas from another, otherwise we should criticize every horror movie since they will inevitably copy ideas from from another. Which scenes in particular did you think were out of place?
Ethan Allen
Cooper Moore
Kevin Carter
Brandon Adams
