Who would you cast, Yea Forums?
Who would you cast, Yea Forums?
>Who would you cast, Yea Forums?
The one with the dykes or the one with the Mexicans?
I imagine it’s the first one, as I have not heard anyone even mention the second
The first, the second is too mediocre and Max-less to be of any interest to peoples
He already proved he could play this character in enemy and nightcrawler. I think he'd be perfect.
episode 4 is kino af
Reminder NOT going back in time is the correct ending.
Casting people who are in their 20s would be a big mistake. Sadie Sink for Max. Not sure who Chloe should be.
The new characters aren't awful, but how stupid were they to not realize that the main reason people liked the first game was because of Max and Chloe?
Pretty based, 3 is good too. 4 > 3 > 2 > 5 > 1
Based, fuck that shitty town
>Sadie Sink for Max
Was Max Mayfield's introduction in Stranger Things ("It's Max, never Maxine") a Life is Strange reference?
>The new characters aren't awful
Wrong, the next installment is horrible and lame and they should never I mean never made it.
>muh hyperbole
Life is Strange 2 is just kind of boring. It's not truly horrible. Exaggerating like that just makes you sound 12.
Yeah, but he's an adult.
that sex scene makes it look pretty comfy. I might get it when its on a bigger discount. still too much right now
If Euphoria is bombing and it is this won't make it past a season.
I wasn't exaggerating, you might think it was mediocre but I generally hated it after experiencing the first game so fuck you douchebag; and that wasn't a hyperbole.
The problem haired dykes stupid.
Let me guess, netflix?
Perfect choice, user!
Sadie Sink in two years with brown hair dye would also be perfect.
Nope, just got sold to Hulu
Hopefully Max (my waifu btw) won't be cast by a mutt or some garbage race.
Let me guess, Shitflix is picking it up?
Idris Elba for every role.
>hit
No one knew the sequels were released.
Idris Elba as Chloe.
I got banned from the Steam Forms of 2 after I complained that they broke Valves policy of censoring anime girls.
Bae > Bay
isabela moner with a lot of her scenes being tied up in that teachers basement studio
>censoring anime girls
They only censor underage characters and yes you're right, Steam is a hypocrite for their so called "anything goes" policy.
Based
bae>bay
Life is Strange is lesbian kino
Based
No one, because the executives will fuck everything up and it will be a shitty abomination. Just like every single other videogame adaptation ever made.
Don't care as long as Limmy makes a cameo
The real question is: which of them will be black and which one will be trans? My bet Chloe will be trans and David will be a raging homophobe and Trump supporter and Max will be a black genius scientist girl with a photography as a hobby.
the most overrated visual novel game I've played
Cringe. Outside of stuff like maybe Steins;gate, Life is Strange is probably the best visual novel. Incredible atmosphere, music, setting, characters, solid story. The only thing that's really bad is the actual dialogue, which improves after a few episodes.
You clearly haven’t played The Walking Dead
I played about 10 minutes and it just seems like trash. Telltale's engine is just the worst fucking thing. I just couldn't believe it doesn't let you walk around in third person like Life is Strange does.
>A visual novel (ビジュアルノベル bijuaru noberu) is an interactive game genre, which originated in Japan,[1][2] featuring text-based story with narrative style of literature and interactivity aided by static or sprite-based visuals, most often using anime-style art or occasionally live-action stills (and sometimes video footage).
>text-based story
>aided by static or sprite-based visuals
So the term we’re looking for is walking simulator then?
No they're just narrative-based adventure games with focus on choices, aka "Choose Your Own Adventure", or telltale-type games. Walking sims are mostly just walking (almost always in first person) and is focused on observation rather than action.
Hollywood is so out of ideas, they feel the need to leech off video games. This doesn't fucking work. Ignoring how Hollywood changes characters and story on a whim, most simply don't work without their interactivity. The experience is downgraded or at least different from how fans enjoyed it.
At best, I think a side story would work best. Set a movie in the world of the games. Don't try to retell the same story the game does. They almost never do this. They instead try to take the main story people have already experienced. This is even worse then games have multiple endings or areas the player decides to explore.
They're shooting themselves reminding kids of the shortcomings of film telling the same story as the games they already know.
I don't want to be a woman or a tranny but I want to look like Max so bad. I am straight too. I just want to look like this but also have my dick and be dominated by big boob mommies. I have no idea what's wrong with me.
I'd rather have a gf who looks like Max, she's cute.
Pretty based senpai. I just want to straight up be Max. I'd never go trans just because it's an incomplete half measure, I just wish I was born as a cute girl.
She is cute. I wish I was her but also still me, and male.
Thanks nigga. I agree. I would never go trans. Gonna try look like that though, and no hormones. If I get very very skinny and am completely shaven, I think I could almost pull it off. At least to my satisfaction.
I just wanna fug Chloe.
This is from like four years ago and was scrapped
Playing through this game as Max gave me all sorts of weird feels, like vague regret and nostalgia. I don't know if I'd want to be a girl, but I want my optimism and youthful energy back. I wish I could enjoy life and do normal things with friends like hers. It just feels like I was born wrong, because I actually had that when I was 15 and I realized that something was deeply wrong with me, because I couldn't really enjoy it. It just made me anxious, more cynical and I realized there was such a massive difference between how those other people view life and the world compared to me. It took me 10 years to realize why I broke up with my first gf, I figured it out a few days ago. I always thought I used to be different but the realization was that I've always been incopatible with the rest of the world, and being near people who are so full of life made me even more miserable than being alone.
Sorry for the blogpost.
>Life is Dranks the tv show
Why?
how will it recreate the consistently high levels of cringe found in the games?
A FAT BLACK MAN AND A SMALL ASIAN MAN WHO POKES HIS BELLY!
Pretty based blogpost. I had a lot of the same feelings.
That's the way I felt about it, I miss a youth I never really had. It's a reminder of all the shit I missed out on, and the opportunities I passed up. I swear to fuck it physically hurt to play this game because of it.
>game full of choices
>ending dwindled down into two choices
>none of the decisions made matter
>Chole is a cunt
>Max is a cunt
>art school
just fuckin shoot me pls and throw me out of a plane
I feel the same way too user. I have a really strong feeling though that it's a projection thing though, that we push our hate onto others, or other people, or feel miserable around happy people because we can't be happy with ourselves. I'm not sure if that's what "dysphoria" or whatever all that shit is about, but I've always felt off as well. Just incompatible. And I think it's confusing because it feels like it's with other people, although my intuition is that it's actually because we feel incompatible with ourselves and how we're meant to be/how we feel vs how we are. I'm the user who wants to be a male Max basically, and I feel the exact same way. I think if I was happy with myself, and looked how I wanted to look, presented how I wanted to present, I wouldn't be miserable with happy people or around people in general because I could relate. Maybe that's something you could think about. Who you really want to be, if it's about being a girl, a different personality, different in any kind of way. Not trying to make you a tranny or anything, I'm not one myself. It's just my theory and I hope I'm right because if I get there and I'm still unhappy being around others then I wouldn't know what to do.
Based and Maxpilled
Max should be a trap
I wish we got and ending where we nuke the town and kill Chloe at the same time.
>the no Cassidy to take control and guide you in losing your virginity m
Have we found the reason behind the tranny epidemic? We try to find a reason behind our general dissatisfaction with life, our dysphoria not with our gender specifically but with ourselves and those around us? I'm sure for some people it is their gender, but for a lot of them I think it might be looking for a fresh start, trying to go back in time. Trannies advertise that this is why you have been unhappy, a solution to your depression, to not fitting in. That's why so many MtFs obsess over missing out on childhood slumber parties, sleepaway camp because they feel like they missed something in childhood and maybe if they were a girl they would have been happy with themselves. Women are supposed to be more positive, more happy, more beautiful, more loved and with more love to give. They don't look the way they want to look, feel the way they want to feel, so they try what they think is a restart button, a new name, a new identity, a chance at life where they feel happy.
As long as the main characters are black, I don't care.
What? No, I'M JUST A MISERABLE CUNT, I DON'T WANT TO BE A TRANNY MUM.
Max guy again.I think that's definitely a big reason. It's depression, dissatisfaction, a disconnect and incompatibility with yourself versus who you want to be or want to have been. I don't think it lies specifically in gender but because that's gotten so popular it's what sucks people in. If it was actually about gender, trans people would try a lot harder to pass. You've seen them, even if they were cherrypicked examples, 90% still look male and they don't really care. Their identity lies more in being "trans" than being a woman. It lies more in being trans, starting over, living a different life, fitting in for once, all those things, than actually appearing a certain way, being a certain way. I am sure some of it is gender, but I don't think that's the majority. This also explains gender queerness and all that, it's a halfway point, another identity.
There's a reason trans subreddits and communities talk in baby language, talk about cute and wholesome so much, all of that. It's infantilization, your point about a missing childhood or nostalgia for something they never had.
In my opinion, they're essentially vulnerable people without the same self awareness a lot of us have who get sucked into a cult instead of actually figuring out what they want to be truly, which is different, happy with themselves. They get convinced the only way is through changing genders when really it's just change in general that they need. What change is up to the individual but I think the sincere gender aspect is much more rare than it seems.
>Life Is Strange
More like "Writing Is Harrrrrd"
Pathetic ridiculous shit
Legit the worst “game” I’ve ever experienced
>these drawings are underage
is Valve clinically retarded
Unfortunately is not gonna happen this was announced like 4/5 years ago,I would love to see it done on the same style as riverdale and cw usually cast cuties for the roles.
i've always thought it was a combination of anti-male sentiment in the media (take your pick) and the outside observation of a situation (being a woman) making it look more fun/easier than it actually is. I don't know, but there has to be an explanation for the imbalance in the ratio of MtF:FtM. i've heard 3:1 but that may have been /jg/ and i don't want to go stat hunting right now
or it's pic related but that seems too interesting for this gay earth
In the heads of people who transition
>MtF: less responsibility, more admiration/protection
>FtM: less admiration/protection, more responsibility
So of course people who don't really have any real biological issues that drives their change are going to pick the better option. Call it what you will, but there is a deep-rooted gynocentrism in our culture.
Who would play Brooke?
Damn, that would be a good choice!
Yeah, this.
Basically, Life is Strange was an out-of-nowhere hit for the company. They had been in financial restructuring following the relative failure of their previous title, and so they chose to make a episodic story-based game because it would be relatively cheap and would keep money rolling in during most of the game's development. It wasn't ever supposed to have been anything special, but they got lucky. And after they (or, more accurately, Square Enix) realized how much of a hit it had been they got onto selling off a bunch of the rights. The original studio got the green light to make an anthology-sequel (which is releasing currently), and Square Enix offloaded a Season 1 prequel to a "new" (rebranded) studio. The rights to a TV show were sold off (the topic of this thread), as were the rights for a comic series (recently extended beyond its initial run). They've also done a number of brand deals with various online/physical clothing shops.
Anyway, it's unlikely the TV show will go ahead, at least not without a serious revival of the Season 1 characters. Before the Storm was generally received positively by the fandom, though it shat the bed with its final episode and a lot of sentiments turned. The original developers are in the middle of Season 2 with all new characters, and while the quality of the game is improved, it doesn't look like the community has connected with it much. The comics aren't likely to do much to keep the franchise alive, so unless Square Enix outsources another Season 1 pre/sequel, the best chance we have is for the original developers to get around to it themselves in a few years time after Season 2 is completed ... and it seems the relevant directors/producers don't want to revisit the characters anyway.
I have never watched Twin Peaks but Rachel Amber is most likely inspired by Laura Palmer, right? I don't know if there's been any official statement on it but from what I've heard their stories are almost identical.
Yes, they're very self aware about it. There are multiple Twin Peaks references in the original game and in the prequel she literally goes to see a band called 'Fire Walk'
An even funnier meta-connection is that just like how in FWWM Laura's friend had to be recast because of behind-the-scenes stuff, in the prequel Rachel's friend had to be recast because of behind-the-scenes stuff.
