Why did they do this to him? And why kill off the Hound instead of pairing him up with Arya?
Just wanna know why
Can't think of a more reddit post about GoT than wishing for the Hound and Arya to be paired up.
Seriously, what the fuck do you idiots want? The Adventures of Arya and the fucking Hound? Goddamn ridiculous.
Nigga what? Pairing them up would make sense since they are both fucked up wrecks totally unaccustomed to normal existence and fuelled by hatred and bloodlust. Nobody wants lil adventures or partners in crime or whatever shit you have in mind but bruh them roaming seven kingdoms as less honourable almost hedge knights makes more sense than the shit we go
Arya going solo bumfuck nowhere like a little Marysue she is and Hound getting killed off in the most pointless death ever
>literally travels with Arya all the way to KL
>waits until the last possible second to drop his "vengeance is bad" spiel
do what to him?
Because you're gay
Bury him under rubble with Cersei...
This writing is worse than my 8th grade twilight fanfiction
Kek. Sounds like a cartoon series from the 1970s.
That was the only thing done right you twat. Ife didn't ditch Cersei after she blew up the sept there was no plausible way he wouldn't crawl back to her. Would you rather have him change his whole character after one night with blonde orc?
>Why did they do this to him?
>realises he can't redeem the bad things he's done
>knows Cersei is in danger and wants to be with her
>goes home to die
>most pointless death ever
>lifelong lust for revenge on his brother
>knows it has to be now or never
>realises his lust for revenge means certain death
>warns Arya against it because she's the only person he cares about
"What is character development": the thread.
She's spoken for
True kino ending for the hound is him being knighted and then marrying sansa
They thought killing people off at the very end would make everything seem more gritty and mature. These hacks seriously had no clue what they were doing when they blindly copied pages from the first three books into their scripts.
That's really weird
They didn't create the characters and they didn't know what to do with them.
That's his ending if fat fuck will finish books.
Have you somehow skipped last three or four seasons? Making him go back to Cersei ruined the integrity of his character. Dumb cunt left Cersei to fight for Winterfell, he finally found the strength to ditch her and the when he heard she is in danger - something he knew would happen - he fucks off to chase her like a lap dog. Not very consistent with his previous actions showcasing character-building.
>shipping Hound with Sansa
Sansa is a cunt, he deserves better

One of these things is not like the others.
whoa this changes everything! thanks based retard!
Should've learnt to get over the revenge obsession and just fucked off somewhere to live quietly like he was with the septon guy, why not a positive ending like that?
Also not that user but it was pointless in the sense that the mountain posed zero threat to anyone and was gonna die anyway.
The Mountain was dead anyway, the thing Clegane fought was some weird zombie created by that fake maester. It was just a mindless killing machine, there was no way the Hound could best him in a fight, and having him killed off in that way (tumbling into fire and rubble with his monstrous bro) was lame as fuck, and done literally to add one more likable character to the kill count.
Come to think, all deaths from the final episode were anticlimactic as fuck.
everyone looks classy and then there sophie turner the whore
Say what you want about her, she keeps it tight. If anything, she has a nice petite body.
you mean the small on and ST. I only see 1 classy woman.
>why not a positive ending like that?
It's Game of Thrones. Why would you expect (or even want) positive endings?
>the mountain posed zero threat to anyone and was gonna die anyway
The purpose of the Hound's life was to take revenge on his brother. It was the only way to make sense of his miserable existence. He wasn't going to let Danaerys rob him of that.
I try. Sometimes in vain, though ...
>she has a nice petite body
Let's hope she does not drink herself to death
The whole point of bringing him back and showing him undergo character change was to avoid reducing him to being completely driven by the desire for revenge.
>It's GoT therefore it has to end the worst way possible
Bad writing aside, it's dumb as hell to cling to this notion that if a story tends to be gritty and dark, it has to be gritty and dark always, even if it doesn't fit in with the character development and subplots. What was the point of showing Hound's development if in the end we are on the square one? Same goes for Jaime and Jon
>Why would you expect (or even want) positive endings?
Well I mean it's basically what we got for house mary sue.

The other two look like wax figures, women don't know how to make up.
>he whole point of bringing him back and showing him undergo character change was to avoid reducing him to being completely driven by the desire for revenge
lolwut? Before Arya leaves him for dead, he's driven by the desire to get rich by escorting her to the Vale. And that's after he turns his back on the corruption and backstabbing of King's Landing. He's on his way to leaving his ugly past behind.
It's afterwards, when he's beaten up by Brienne and his religious commune gets massacred, that he realises he's been destined for violence and pain and his whole life. Every line he utters is that of a depressed and beaten man. He traces it all back to his brother holding his head to the fire. Revenge becomes his sole purpose for carrying on.
>Same goes for Jaime and Jon
Jaime's arc is understandable too, except by screeching showfags on Yea Forums who think they're undiscovered screenwriters.
Nigga what? You telling me that he joined Jon and fought at Winterfell, and went out of his way to protect Arya, while being solely driven by the need for revenge? Lmao ok
>Jaime's arc is understandable too
Nah, it's bullshit. Even if we take Brienne out of the equation, his words in episode 6 when he says he doesn't give a fuck about the people of Kings Landing are contrary to his previous actions. He killed the mad king to protect his family AND the people, and his whole thing is being secretly a decent guy who isn't as ignorant or as heartless as he seems to be.
