Manipulative movie, gives everyone a family because it wasn't able to make you care for the characters otherwise. Watch Threads

The armed traffic wardens is genuine kino

>Societal breakdown at an extreme level
>Remaining police and soldiers are unable to keep the peace
>Literally anyone who had any position of authority is now armed

It shows a lot of nuclear detonation footage.

thanks boys

I liked Dr Strangelove because of the Cold War aesthetics and the storyline had an interesting premise but I didn't feel like it carried it through properly.

Would you recommend Fail Safe?

>The War Game is a 1965 blend of television drama and documentary, that depicts a nuclear war. Written, directed and produced by Peter Watkins for the BBC's The Wednesday Play anthology series, it caused dismay within the BBC and also within government, and was subsequently withdrawn before the provisional screening date of 7 October 1965.[1] The corporation said that "the effect of the film has been judged by the BBC to be too horrifying for the medium of broadcasting."

Probably the bleakest film on this subject I've ever seen.

>Would you recommend Fail Safe?
Not him but yes, definitely.

Miracle Mile

By Dawns Early light.

Mainly because The Day After ends on a slight positive note, it gives the impression that although the world has gone to hell, people are still hanging on, they may survive, maybe even thrive and rebuild.

Threads just goes; "You're all absolutely fucked".

Was there ever nuke kino from the soviet union?

Attached: tsar.webm (640x360, 1.25M)

No because that would have been defeatist. Most of the movies ITT, especially Threads, were produced by the CND which was of course a Soviet-infiltrated group and designed to undermine Western opposition to the USSR.

user, how could you forget about STALKER?
