No avengers show up and they don’t really explain why. Nick fury is a skrull. Ends with mysterious tricking everybody into hating Spider-Man and JJJ comes back

You're wrong about the cameras though, I read on IMDB that they used Red, which is really unusual, and frankly, I think they're wrong due to the Arri logo at the end, and the general Alexa look of the skin tones. I think they have to have a flat color grade to hide the massive amount of vfx that would be really obvious if livelier. Or they could just be following the trend of a muted, almost non-existent color grade. Kind of grey/bland, been popular for years along with orange and teal. Doesn't make it right, these are just some educated guesses I've come up with, could be wrong.

I really didn't give the MCU much credit until everybody else tried and failed so hard to make their own shared cinematic settings. Clearly there's some genuine effort and skill that goes into making consistently 5/10 or better films across so many different productions. They're not high art but even at their worst they're generally at least watchable. Didn't think that was such an achievement until others, namely DC and Universal, made it clear it's apparently pretty damn hard.

My theater experience was pretty bad. It was packed to the point where I didn't want to weave through everyone in the upper rows for a seat so I had to sit in the front row so my neck was kinked and the film looked like looking up or down in a Build or Doom engine game. Everybody laughed loudly at most lines even if they weren't jokes and clapped mid-film a few times. Several guys nearby kept going on their phones or asking their friends either who characters were or what's happening. When it ended, most people clapped and when jj___ showed up, everyone cheered.

No, Spider-Man: Far From Home is decent and certainly much better than Homecoming as well as all of the Garfield films. The Mysterio illusion scenes and the J. Jonah Jameson cameo were kino. Spider-Man 2 by Raimi is still not only my most favourite Spider-Man movie, but also my most favourite superhero movie in general of all time.

That's Disney's lack of imagination at work. Everything's got to be a global threat because those work. You can't have your street-level local hero tackling street-level local problems, because that's a character-driven story, not a spectacle-driven one, and they forgot to invent any characters besides just riding the RDJ gravy train, who in a lot of ways isn't even really Tony Stark, just RDJ doing his best Spider-Man impersonation.

You can have plausible, low-scale threats/problems that are suited to characters like Pete. In the comics, they have done fantastic spy thriller arcs with Spidey. Spider-Man 3 wasn't an attempt to appeal the fans. It was Sony having a Venom boner and forcing Raimi to add Venom in. I found the whole film pretty entertaining. Sandman was great. Harry was okay. Venom and Eddie work. Emo-Parker didn't bother me because I watched the animated series first and later Spectacular, both of which had Emo-Parker. And I found the pacing and character motivations to be okay. The only parts that bothered me was the Butler telling Harry that Norman died by his own hands which was the stupidest last minute exposition Deus Ex Machina I've ever seen and the whole Mary Jane breaking up with Peter because Harry threatened him (although Harry smiling like a smug jerkass did redeem that part)
