The Zavala trailer had a better story than the game itself. There’s probably enough material in Destiny’s backstory, from the founding of the city, risen wars, twilight gap, and more to be its own show.

Oh yeah there's some great material in Destiny's lore, but I really don't know if it would ever be used well.

See like, Hollywood would absolutely fuck it up beyond comprehension by thinking there needs to be a compelling story or an arc for the silent protagonist.

Things like darkness zones and things which can permanently kill them exist since early D1 missions. It’s been important plot points that destroying a guardian’s ghost, easier said than done, will permanently stop revivals.
