>mfw i realized that much like david's "i'm a good person, i deserve love" i have also justified my shitty actions by forcing me to see myself as the victim an the exclusion of everyone else's feelings

He is the heart of the show.

He's better than the others. Certainly better than that bitch who raped her mother's boyfriend and got him sent to prison for statutory.

He did nothing wrong

Yes,he isnt without sin and flaws, and his behavior of justifying his actions doesnt mean he should be left without consequence, but Sidney literally tried to kill him after a single conversation with Farouk and the argument was weak as fuck, she did much worse and thinks she has a moral high ground,if they didnt try to trial him on a kangaroo court he wouldnt have broken his limiter, this situation is about the delusion of the main cast into creating a villain because they are too far their own ass so they just let Farouk walk around, and David abusing his power

yes and anyone who says otherwise is just a filthy brainwashed soldier

Just because what Syd did was more fucked up it doesn't mean David wasn't in the wrong anyway

>the personality advicing David to make the wrong, most stupid choices is named "dabid"
what did they mean by this?

He wasn't. The fact that the others are working for Shadow King now proves that. They've been coopted.
The moment they let him out of his cage, it should have been obvious to anyone with a brain that they were being puppetted.

Yeah, the torture part can be put as guilty, but the "waah you drugged me so that means rape" is bullshit considering she tried to kill him out of nowhere, his measures of wiping her memory out are completely reasonable,or do they hold him as god to consider every outcome and morality of any situation?when she learned Future Syd wanted to stop Future David her past self wanted to believe he would become the monster and thus they created him

This too,Farouk walking around like its his house is the proof that David is in the right, fuck Syd,Fuck Basket Case Head A.I and god let me fuck Aubrey

GOD DAMNIT I AM SO SICK OF SYD AND ALL THE GAY SHIT. AHHHHHH

>Shadow King is X so David is Y
>Good guys vs bad guys
>This show is not as smart as people say
Wew. Back to special needs day camp, brainlets.

I identify with him too much not to, though it’s obvious that a running theme of the show is moral relativism: chaos to the fly is dinner to the spider. David is misdiagnosed as a child and because he doesn’t receive adequate care for his illness he begins self-medicating and acting out. To those around him this looks selfish and juvenile but he’s simply trying to mitigate an overwhelming mental condition. Syd’s powers are all about empathy and perspective yet she lacks both at a turn because she’s more concerned with protecting herself. In the first episode, the guy in charge of division 9 seems needlessly draconian in his measures against David but as his character develops we see he only wants to protect his family and the world against a person who is basically a WMD incarnate. Initially we’re told to hate and fear Farouk but him crawling into David’s mind was an act of self-preservation and survival.

Switch is qt

she's pretty based irl, if you ever meet her and ask her to ask you, she just might

The guy playing Squirrel does a pretty good job

David was kinda in the wrong, but it wasn't his fault. It was the writers fault. After Farouk was out of him we've never seen him doing any manipulative shit at all. They simply decided to have him rape Syd in the last episode because
>muh world ender

Switch is based as fuck and my new waifu.
I don't like S3 Lenny. I thought it was implied ed at the end of S2 that Lenny was just a victim and not mental anymore

This, also fight me

I wish it was a little faster, Not so drawn out

All these wrong opinions...

That's every season's main weakness. Lots of visual experimentation in a "style over substance"/plot way.
Also dat kino shot

Also

is farouk into traps?

Thought the exact same thing... What has Yea Forums done to us

Why didn't he shoot him first?

>We're still all rooting for David, right?
Aw, who freaking knows anymore. The show went off the rails a while ago.

>The show went off the rails a while ago.
And that's a good thing so far. Nothing quite like it.

And Syd is so fat that they're dressing her in black garbage bags now.

Something tells me she's not going to make it

Attached: Capture.jpg (1919x1078, 92K)

I think she has lost a considerable amount of weight

maybe her powers limitations have nothing to do with them not being developed and it's more that david himself can't use them. if she tried to time-travel with cary or someone else it would work

And I suppose David ruining her will be what finally make us turn on him. I don't like it. This whole David is evil and crazy is weirder than Daenerys burning King's landing.
He is pure

I want to know what's that thing that starts coming for her if she goes to far back

>David is pure
He's unstable as fuck, a schizo who refuses to admit he's schizo

Attached: 4556423584552.png (480x480, 198K)

Thing about David is that he isn't pure. He did have a parasitic conciousness fucking him up most of his life, but on top of that (or beneath, really) he's actually mentally ill. Now that he's rid of the shadow king his actual self is coming out and he's quite a manipulative, selfish asshole.

And the whole point of S1 was that he wasn't crazy, just literally possessed. I don't get why he is a schizo again if Farouk is out

Except for when he literally saved the world multiple times

>the whole point of S1

Attached: 5CrDmp9.jpg (384x512, 113K)

because he was both possessed AND schizophrenic, both things masked each other

>I want to know what's that thing that starts coming for her if she goes to far back
It's a one-eyed, one-horned macguffin.

Has it been explained yet why in season 1 one a door opens up to David's room and suddebly Syd is standing there i.e. You see the door open you don't see anyone walk through it even though you should have at least seen a pair of legs and then suddenly we have Syd

episode?

Only if Dan Stevens gets to be the next Bond.

She cute

Yes. Even if they give my boy the Danerys treatment, I'll still be on his side over the literal parasite's.

what did she mean by this?

he was kinda dick to asian girl

also i feel disapoint. since he got over the blondie then didnt

wtf was this scene about. worst part of the episode, no meaning at all

only because Farouk is a cunt and Dan Stevens acts circles around everyone else

I think it was before she was comfortable touching him so they would lay with something between them

yep. should've seen her in Fargo

>Syd as a damaged, shy cutie
OH YES PLEASE
>Syd as an upset, empowered ex-girlfriend
TURN IT OFF

Found it. Episode 1, about 20:30 in.

He's talking to Clark in the interview and when asked to remember David says "it's fuzzy" without his medication, then we get that scene: David is sleeping, dreaming of Syd, when she manifests into his room. Could be she isn't literally there and it's part of his dream?

Attached: vlcsnap-2019-07-02-13h04m36s510.png (1920x1080, 1.59M)

I remember it going fluidly to the next scene with no implications that is was a dream. It wouldn't surprise me if the whole show was just going on in Davids head

The scene ends with David trying to kiss Syd and her backing away, then it cuts back to the interview, Clark asking "and why couldn't you touch her?" So at least that scene is really part of David's retelling to Clark, as he remembers it, and not necessarily what actually happened

syd has been absolute trash the entire time, she deserves to burn in 1000 hells
why doesn't he just explode her stupid narcissistic head

>>actual self
>>everyone knows the shadow king is a cunt
>>everyone is going along with the shadow king
>>suddenly david evil
sure sure m8.

Cool

He literally doesn't.
For now the best actor on the show is clearly Farouk

S1 Syd and most S2 Syd was supportive as fuck. Literally an ideal gf

100% still rooting for David. Everyone else is garbage.

If season 2 was really supposed to be RAPE rape, that shit totally backfired. Instead of making David look like a villain, it made rape accusations less believable and less sympathetic.

it wasn't rape-rape, but proof that david doesn't give a fuck and is willing to do anything to keep himself from facing any consequences from his action. he's a sociopath, basically

huh when did he get his face repaired?

He's getting the Daenerys treatment, when the writers suddenly decide to make a character evil for plot purposes without putting any effort into making it believable for the audience.

david is innocent

Season 1 was fantastic and practically perfect, I absolutely loved it.
Season 2 has large issues with the plot and pacing, the episode where David in in Syd's head for example is a complete flop and simply should have been canned.
David also being evil and still mentally ill also was pretty badly executed there like a step or two were missing.

No idea what happened with the writing in S2 compared to S1, but it seems rushed or not thought out to me.

There's no one else to root for. At least David admits he isn't perfect and is trying to improve. Sid is a rapist but neither nor anyone else will acknowledge. She works with a centuries old mind rapist, murderous, monster man. And they are employed by a violent racist government agency created to kill mutants. and somehow they believe they are the good guys. David and his hippie friends are the only likable characters left on the show.
