Insomnia

When is Yea Forums going to make a pilgrimage to there?

Hopefully the one you're in.

I just moved out of fuck-hole California and back to my old small town, and while the faces have changed, some things always stay the same...

There's no niggers or wetbacks here.

Shane
Pleasantville
E.T.

Gulliver's Travels

fuckin great thriller, mate

Hoosiers

I just moved from Milwaukee to a bunch of acreage in northern wisconsin, I haven't seen a spic or nog in 3 months. Everywhere I go are happy smiling white families with two parents. Absolute kino. No shitskin mutts, everyone is friendly and courteous. People leave their cars running outside the gas station while they go inside. It's basically like being back in the 80s. Pure kino.

>implying American graveyards stay put for 500 years
You'll get moved to make way for a parking lot or mall, it happens way too often. My dad's buried at a church ruin that was first built in the 1100s or something like that, right outside the graveyard walls the ground is filled with plague burials from when it killed 70% of the local population and they wouldn't allow the families to bury them on holy ground.

>all those malls and parking lots going up in small town USA

the blob remake
slithers
feast

Hopefully never. Town looks very cursed, don’t look into the store’s windows

Fargo

the fog
that weird steohen king movie about a town with a devil shop

>ywn be the hero of the town because you won the big game friday night

You'll never be the pathetic old bastard pestering the current team members about how much better everything (especially you) was in your "day" either. No shortage of that type in my corner of Texas.
(Or anybody else's).

you probably played pokeman instead of football

last picture show, splendor in the grass if u want classic coming of age films that are actually good unlike the rest of these suggestions.

>walmart and other soulles big box stores don't slam down new locations in small towns because of the central location
Yeah ok.

Salem's Lot

>the fog
It took me WAY too long watching the first episode of The Mist tv show to get that it wasn't a The Fog adaptation. Broke my heart a little, I was so fucking ready for a whole show about a comfy seaside town getting haunted by sailor ghosts.

Dogville
The Tall Man

> 200k

nah

I grew up in a town populated by less than a thousand people and my class was about 25ish people

TV show Northern Exposure. Twin Peaks. Friday Night Lights for the Texas high school football anons.

Just checked it on google maps. Looks poor and depressing.

Paterson

>America
>1100s
yanks have such little history they don't even know the dates of their own

It probably is fun if it is one of the good small towns but mine was shithole full of crackheads and other kinda white trash. It also one of those kinda towns where there was hardly anything to do expect drink yourself to death.

He's clearly not American retard, why do you think he's shitting on it. EU faglet

I always got a dry smile out of Friday Night Lights because if it were true to life in Odessa there'd be a lot more Mexican guys on the team.

thor

>hardly anything to do expect drink yourself to death

hey at least your town was bucking the trend of getting hooked on oxycontin
unlike mine

>The Blob
You don't often see that "come on gang, instead of hanging out at the movies let's all band together to save the town from a man-eating blob!" stuff any more. I don't get why, because it's a lot more engaging than the old and tired "everyone fights with each other over stupid drama and split up to become easier targets" bullshit you see everywhere.

I saw this twice as a kid but then couldn't remember the name and couldn't find it for years, since I just remembered it being about some students in a small town sitting around on the road by a gas station talking about leaving town. But that has always been the first thing I think about when thinking of small towns. I think it sparked my fear of being one of those guys who always talks about travelling the world but then end up never leaving town. The fear came true.

Thanks to the user who recognised what movie plot I was describing I could finally buy it on DVD from Ebay earlier this year.

>In 2010, Sneedville had the 10th-lowest median household income of all places in the United States with a population over 1,000

>tfw about a 4hr drive away

First Blood

The Crazies
Red Dawn

according to It's A Wonderful Life if you haven't done all those things you should kill yourself.

how do you rate The Last Picture Show?

small towns are just as dark as the cities and everyone begins to hate each other mid high school. all the preppy rich nice looking girls were drug addicted party sluts by grade 11 (some are escorts now)
