BIRDS OF PREY
The plot (and images) look like a TV show from the CW...at best. The girls have either never been that attractive or they're uglified (third choice: they hit the wall already). How is this not going to flop ? My bet is 100% on the marketing campaign if it's not too feminist.
It takes considerable effort to fuck up Black Canary's costume. Harley doesn't look much better either, especially since they just gave up on the clown theme.

Cassandra Cain was introduced in the early 2000s, her name being an homage to the silver age batwoman, Kathy Kane, as well as a reference to Cain, the first murderer, since she struggled with killing someone at a very young age.
For whatever reason, when they brought back Batwoman into the New Earth continuity, they used her silver age name, Katherine Kane. Thus the Kane/Cain confusion.

After Batman was killed, Batwoman took his place for the first year of his absence, with Dick Grayson taking the cowl later on.
With the mixed reaction to the most recent movies with Batman in them, and the unsure future of standalone Batman films, it makes sense to use this plot point now if DC wants to continue doing their DCEU movies.
