I've been waiting for this thread to come back for like a month. Ever since GoT and Endgame took over for like 2+ weeks.

semi-recently, I watched the first Bad Ben, Banshee Chapter, and my friends and I watched Blackwell Ghost 1 & 2 on Amazon.

Bad Ben was pretty funny just cause of the boomer yelling at stuff and the goofy effects, but I don't really have a desire to watch the other ones. Banshee Chapter was pretty spooky, with the basement scene being one of the most tense scenes that I've seen recently, and Blackwell Ghost was boring and unevenful. I'd say it gets points for being more realistic than some of this stuff, but if I wanted mediocre ghost hunter footage, I'd watch one of those shitty ghost hunter night-vision shows on Syfy.

Probably gonna watch Europa Report tonight, is it spooky? I'm in the mood for something spooky.

I'm waiting for somebody to rip Blackwell Ghost 3.

I didn’t love Banshee Chapter but Blackwell Ghost was comfy but uneventful and it took me a long time before I realized that the well in the basement was black.

Blackwell Ghost does get some comfy points, I agree. I'll give it some credit for doing it's best as some dude's passion project, but it just seemed a little too disjointed/lacked direction to be taken super seriously. Like the part in Blackwell Ghost 2 when he found the box of teeth in the backyard, but he never even addressed it again

One of my favorite things in horror movies is when there's some sort of realization that just completely fucks everybody, like in Grave Encounters when they open the front door and it's just more of the hospital, or when they realize that the sun should have come up by now but it's still dark outside

just watched Europa Report and Savageland

Europa Report was decent, but I can't say that I enjoyed it all that much. The realistic space-tech was nice to see, but overall it just seemed to play on stuff happening off-screen and people dying just by being careless in space.

Savageland was pretty good, and did a good job of giving you an idea of what went down in the town, but let's you make up your own version of what it probably looked like while it was going on.

Overall, two decent movies, I need to figure out what to watch next since I've seen a most of the FF that people recommend right off the bat

I liked savageland alot, it was something about the execution of it.
They could make a decent sequel from it, but out of the perspective of a bigger town, where several people made photos/videos (mainly photos). And they can't contact outside the city, because 'someone' cut out communications or something???

I just think savageland has much sequel potential with more pictures and better actors.
