It's one of the best things I've watched in a while. The show's creators did a weekly podcast explaining why they made some of the changes that they did.

it was pretty ok. what inaccuracies do you mean? afaik about Chernobyl it seemed pretty accurate.

not OP but shit like the random naked miners, the ridiculous female scientist

massively inflating number of deaths
muh female scientist
valery's painfully obvious homoerotic attraction towards boris

>did you enjoy your obvious cultural programming, goy?

It's alright. Autists who go on and on about inaccuracies need to be culled from the gene pool though.

>what inaccuracies do you mean?
Boris Jeltsin not being shitfaced drunk most of the time

It's more accurate than most historical drama series, so yeah, I could look past the inaccuracies it did have.

why

The "composite character" thing they did with Khomyuk was really bad - Legasov should have went to Chernobyl with a team of at least 5 scientists, say 3 men and 2 women and worked the problem with them.
Also her dialogue is all over the place: she was constantly talking down to everyone around her, in a show where only the "bad" characters (like Fomin, Dyatlov, Bryukhanov, the KGB dude and "early" Shcherbina) do so.

If they didn't use the woman then they would have to use over like 20+ people for a variety of different information provided.

>massively inflating number of deaths
>valery's painfully obvious homoerotic attraction towards boris
a commie-apologist who is also a fag, who would have guessed

Very much so.
I wish they released the first episode on the 26th of April above all else.
They explained why they changed some things and made the series more dramatic than it was
(such as the helicopter crash - it did occur, but after the initial fire was contained and the construction of the sarcophagus began)
They also had to shift the timeline of events around small amounts due to time constraints. However I still see the show as a very high-brow dramatization of the events that occurred during the accident.
If it's ever released to DVD/BluRay I'll be picking up a copy.

>brainlets

it was kino

This. Think of the casting costs, poor producers.

Goddamit I keep hearing how great this is I wasn't really interested because honestly don't care for a story about Chernobyl, no disrespect to the victims of the real event. But fuck I might check it out since everyone keeps singing its praises, even dog-fucker-sucks

its only good for the first couple episodes

>"Chernobyl was an innacurate dramatisation, the Russian government would never lie to us about one if its greatest failures"
>People actually think this

>no disrespect to the victims of the real event
you mean all 7 of them or whatever?

I understand inserting a character to represent the unnamed scientists who worked to minimize the damage, it just pisses me off that the character they used was basically le smart woman trope.

American education, everyone.

not an argument

>Did you enjoy it despite all the inaccuracies?
yes i enjoy most things if it looks and sounds cool

>argue that I'm an uneducated retard
That's apparent in your post.

If russia is so great why couldn’t they make a kino like this and push their own narrative?
Yeah didnt think, sit back down slavshit

>muh suffering and the mistakes of white men
it was eh

the morally accurate female scientist was the only good part

t. russian troll farm minimum wage worker

For every thing they got "wrong" they got 10 or more right. And then, most of what they got "wrong" was done on purpose both for the drama and to synthesize many events. It helps the viewer to understand the problem better.
Meh, I can totally believe miners would go in stark naked desu. I didn't bat an eye when it happened. I haven't heard the podcasts yet, though. Is there evidence that they always went in wearing their clothes? I could see both the USSR and Ukraine governments covering that bit up.

ironic shitposting is still shitposting.

still not an argument

I'm sorry black men weren't directly involved so you would complain less

There's nothing to argue. I'm observing that you're a clueless American

First episode was fine even with all the stupid made-up bullshit, I liked it for the atmosphere.
Other four were extremely boring, aside from a few scenes that had something interesting going on, which would be acceptable for a historically-accurate documentary, but not for a drama.
5/10 not great, not terrible.

American education

This isn't that bad by modern "le stronk womyn" standards. Even ihad they casted a male character in her place the same flaws would remain. i.e. figuring everything out and be everywhere at once

not an argument

>For every thing they got "wrong" they got 10 or more right.
I challenge you to name 10 things that you think "they got right" and one that they got wrong.

Your shit taste is showing.

LEAVE THE IMPORTANT THINGS TO THE MEN

to be fair I absolutely adored it
it's just the part about the irradiated firemen being irradiated themselves and the guy absorbing a lethal dose through a little tear on his boot kinda ticked me off a bit

other than that it's a 10/10 and the main duo is amazingly acted

Yes. what's your point?

prove it.

"Stalker" by Tarkovski, while not necessarily about the Chernobyl tragedy, is a fantastic movie set in Chernobyl, but you wouldn't really care you racebaiting faggot

Oh okay, let me retract my statements then

Was it really set in Chernobyl?

yeah its good for what it is, it could be better still
t. ukrainian

yeah dude they even made a podcast
it all checks out 100% just listen to the podcast

really though, you think having many more people in there would have made it better? I guess having a "main" scientist then having some other guys in the background could have been a compromise, but as far as characters go this is how you tell a story

>inaccuracies
Nice try Vlad
