Welcome to Jurassic Park.

Attached: Jurassic talk.jpg (1043x1043, 104K)

Hey uh I’m going to the vending machines anyone want a hotpocket?

what was hammonds plan here? Was that video going to be a one time thing or would he be there for all tours, or have someone else play him for the tours?

What does a dino cloaca feel like?

Made a green text on Yea Forums threads will do Jurassic Park related green requests.

>It's unclear how the Mosasaurus is still alive despite being trapped in an empty lagoon for years with nobody to feed it. Even the submersible operators comment how anything in the lagoon should have died a long time ago, but Colin Trevorrow explains the beginning of the movie is set between a week or month after the first, and argues that it could've eaten the Indominus Rex slowly or picked off any Pteranodon(s) that flew too close to the lagoon.

>a week or a month

The park was going to fail even if IndoRex didn't escape.

Attached: 1240675171147_f.jpg (500x345, 14K)

It was just for VIPs, the video for tourists would probably be a prerecorded history of the park and explanation of DNA

I disagree the pak lasted a decade before the Irex was made so if they managed to keep it in, it's likely it would be a pain in the ass to manage but it would've kept the park afloat for a while.

I heard the recent movie is a soft remake of The Lost World - dinos end up in the suburbs and what not?

The first 45 minutes is softcore Lost World the rest of the movie is Dino Crisis.

>Island blow up a week or month after the events of the Irex escaping
>Park still being able to function on a destroyed island

I said stay afloat for awhile not forever.

You want us to talk about Jurassic Park by posting a image of the Raptor turned into a pet dog...

>Pet dog.
>Left Owen at the end of the recent movie.
>Mauled plenty of people with Owen's approval.
>Called a wild animal in World multiple times.
>Couldn't be tamed message in both films.
It's respect not submission dingus.

They still turned the most dangerous species into a joke...you asshole

Let me put in a way you'll understand.
>She KILLED innocent people in world.
>She KILLED and MAULED people in Fallen Kingdom.
>And she RESPECTS not SUBMITS to Owen because she was RAISED BY HAND since birth by Owen as a Alpha in a pack.

Where is this hoofy boy?

Attached: 222.jpg (640x360, 25K)

where do we think the next one will go? Is the dozen or so dinos out that big of a threat?

Probably will be like the T-Rex in the mainland scene for 2-3 hours.

I am still sad that there will never be a Roland Tembo/Robert Muldoon teamup show where they do warden stuff or just hunt.

ENOUGH RICH DENTISTS

According to the may leak

>By orders of the president, the army is looking for Blue to clone her and create an army of velociraptors
>Maisie's link with other clones allows her to comunicate with them telepathically. She commands them as the queen of the dinosaurs
>Claire invents a de-evolving gun which forces modern animals to become prehistoric creatures. They also inject clone cells in them for Maisie to control them with her mind
>Owen, Claire and the rest join Maisie to lead the dinosaur army to overthrow humanity and start a new age of dinosaurs

Fake and gay unless there's a source.

>Claire invents a de-evolving gun which forces modern animals to become prehistoric creatures.
Oh man, I love Super Mario Bros!

Basic idea for the next film.

youtu.be/NCkQNXPn4tM

what innocents did blue kill in world? wasn't it just some dirty mercs?

>tfw dilophosaurus is actually 10 feet tall, 20 feet long, doesn't spit poison, and doesn't have a frilled neck

>Dirty mercs.
They wern't mercs they were park security.

false and homosexual

You know how there's breeders out there for fish and reptiles? Who keep thousands of animals locked in tiny little plastic containers breeding them to try to make them a certain color so they can charge thousand.

I really want that to be worked into the script somehow. Not being the whole focus, but it'd be cool to have a little bit of it in there. Because if dinosaurs were brought back to life, you KNOW there'd be some asshole breeding baby velociraptors and selling them on ebay. They could even use it as a plotline for them destroying the environment like Florida currently has with invasive pythons.

Can we talk about the books? Why the fuck are they so goddamn horrifying?

>Talk about Jurassic Park shit
I think talking about the books are a given.

I looked up to this guy so much when I first watched the films

Fallen Kingdom is unironically the best JP sequel, its incredibly underrated. Jurassic World 1 is still dogshit and by far the worst JP movie.

Attached: MV5BNzE1MzQ0NjE4MF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMjU3NjMzNDM@._V1_.jpg (2048x857, 2.23M)

>Likes the Dino Crisis flim over the Modern Jurassic Park.
Like how? The first 45 minutes are the only good parts.

Get your eyes tested, even JPIII was better than that steaming pile of shit - and that's saying something!

>Fallen Kingdom is unironically the best JP sequel
This is false in every way, FK is the TLJ of the JP franchise.

Attached: 1534371840502.png (317x360, 264K)

>Can we talk about the books? Why the fuck are they so goddamn horrifying?
They were written to be thrillers about the horror of genetic engineering gone awry, instead of family comedies with brief scenes that may be too intense for babies.

Best Jurassic Park stories
Novels
Jurassic Park
The Lost World
Jurassic World
The Telltale game
Fallen Kingdom
Jurassic Park 3

thats why its the best, we get classic JP adventures, and then Dino Crisis finale

>FK is the TLJ of the JP franchise.
exactly, its the best sequel, finally someone gets it

I like Fallen Kingdom but is it a good movie? No it jumped the Shark when they brought the dinos to the mainland.

That isn't jumping the shark, dinosaurs being brought/escaping to mainland is a pretty standard JP trope, its just logical progression.

I mean it's not just that it's the selling the dinos and the fact there all on the mainland not some compys or vaptors ALL of the dinos are.

yeah that was clearly a shit movie.
> intro
> no time/date indication
> they got the indominus sample
> rest of the movie
> no time/date indication nor timelapse indication
> they did the indoraptor from the sample
> in like 1 night

this guy is a hack

actors are both dead
feel bad :(

i wouldn't call them innocent though, they signed up for that stuff. they had pew pew guns and were looking for a fight.

Wonder if we'll see the original cast in Jurassic World 3.

It is I even edited it to include Roland's original introduction (there is actually a finished version of that scene that was in the tv edit its quality is the same as the rest of the movie). Now I feel like my movie is complete.

yeah the bar fight scene, I think the tv edit will also have the boardroom scene in it too. Cant recall what other deleted scenes there are

I would enjoy seeing your edit, user. I usually watch JP2 about twice a month.

I had two problems with it. First all the versions on youtube aren't very good (the version from the tv edit isn't the full scene) and also I would have problems adding it right after the beach scene ruining the match cut with Malcolm (the one that's in the boardroom scene is inferior and it would be weird to start two scenes with a guy yawning). But I'm a little sad because it's the only scene where dead characters are namedropped.
Other deleted scenes: Ludlow accidently breaking little T-Rex's foot and Hammond telling Malcolm that his team will consist of four members. Both important continuity scenes, without them the movie is more confusing but Spielberg's always been terrible with deleted scene. In Raiders he deleted the scene where Indy punches an Arab after getting out of the pyramid (in the finished movie we just see him inexplicably laying on the ground) and the explanation behind not looking directly into the Ark.

Wasted potential

I wan't a movie about a lone hunter/merc going on the island in order to extract data or some shit.

Give him an elephant gun and bow.

Make it Turok-lite

What is that JP3 concept art?

FK is so baffling. It has some really great shots but the plot is so fucking stupid and it feels like two movies sliced together.

Jurassic World

Attached: 1532368086679.jpg (1600x802, 109K)

based

Eeehhh Jurassic World was okay that idea would make a really good game or Fallen Kingdom script.

it pretty much seemed like the guys that did fast and furious made a Jurassic park movie but even dumber

most of the dinosaurs died on the island

didn't know about the baby trex scene. I liked TLW but there was definitely some issues with how it was edited, especially the ending but that was more due to that they didnt film certain scenes
I think that was the initial idea for 3 before they scrapped it a few weeks before shooting

BOW TO THE QUEEN
someone has the webm of our queen breaking the fence?

I'm glad that at least FK gave us Baryonyx and Carnotaurus. And it didn't ruin the series or anything it's just not a very good sequel. I want more new dinosaurs like Therezinosaurus (that I thought was in the last movie but that was only another Gallimimmus).

How about ask for a Turok movie instead?
Why do people think Jurassic needs botox? Put it back to rest, for good this time.

>Tfw no raptor gf

Who among you has read the novel?
Do you think it is better or worse than the movie?

Attached: 1530224709228.jpg (960x960, 205K)

Novels are much better than the films story wise, However I do enjoy seeing dinosaurs on the big screen.

The Movie Jurassic Park and the Novel are pretty much identical aside from the endings.

I've read it, and honestly I think Movie = Novel
they're both great, and shows how two different adaptations of the same story can be great in their own regards
Novel is more violent and goes into the politics of genetics while the movie has more fanfare and general appeal
a perfect movie and a perfect book

>shame it was retconned out of the new cannon

It wasn't retconned InGen just did a helluva cover up job.

I prefer the movie. The best parts of the book are where characters simply discuss how the park works, computer stuff or some scientific topic. Dinosaurs scenes I fine, more than there are in the first movie but so what if the movie is perfect in the way it limits its dinosaur scenes and all the good scenes were filmed for later movies anyway. I like the characters in the movie better as well, Malcolm is as annoying as Grant describes him in JPIII, there are two cliche scenes that I don't like very much: one when Grant physically assaults Gennaro for I guess not being enough of a bloodsucking lawyer and allowing Hammond to go on with his project (long before the incident) and the ending after all surviving characters are saved by Costa Rican military and some guy seems to be implying that Grant and the rest won't ever be allowed to go free or something. It was stupid and obviously never went anywhere the next book (that I didn't read) retconned half the stuff anyway. Overall pretty good I give it 8/10.

JW was pretty weird about it only the additional material made it clear that it's not a retcon. I think Fallen Kingdom was more direct and Universal realizes that most people don't mind acknowledging the sequels especially TLW. Now we know Grant and Ellie will be in JW3 the only question is will they be together. No retcon required just relationship drama. Pretty messed up but I think I'd be ok with that.

>Be 8 year old me.
>Watch Jurassic Park 3
>Grant and Ellie arn't together.
>Random mofo took Ellie.
>Legit thought it was gonna be some sort of bond over the film.
>It didn't happen.
>It didn't happen.
Fuck.

yeah I don't really want to rewatch FK but dont they mention something about san diego in it?

I think the novel had a scene of two raptors mating, why wasn't that in the movie?

Lot of scaleys on this thread.

seeker.com/great-white-sharks-eat-far-more-than-thought-1767332589.html

tl;dr is that when sharks aren't very active, they can survive for weeks at a time from a meal that forms only 10% of their body mass.
If FK is a week to a month after JW, then the Indominus would have been more than enough food to sustain the Mosasaur, especially considering that it didn't have a lot of space in which to swim around and needlessly expend energy.

Son of a bitch survived.

Did TLW jump the shark when InGen themselves were taken over by Hammond's nephew, who tried to rebuild JP in San Diego?
Did the novel of TLW when Dodsgon tried to take eggs from every species on Sorna to take back to the mainland to engineer a line of micro-sized dinosaur pets?
Did the original book jump the shark when compys were on the mainland right from the start and raptors were on the mainland by the end?

THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT OF THE SERIES, RIGHT FROM ITS INCEPTION, IS THAT YOU CAN'T CONTROL LIFE, YOU CAN ONLY TRY TO MANAGE IT.

Goddamnit I need your edit. Please upload.

I watched a pbs eons vid on him last night.
I will eternally love JP.
JP, The Matrix, and The Good, The Bad & The Ugly were my favorite childhood movies.
I don't care how dumb FK was, I'll still be watching the next one.

I can recall channel surfing before seeing Sam Neil on some news channel, thinking "Dr. Grant!" and then a trailer for JP3 airing. I ran for a video cam and tape to record my tv screen. I missed most of it but was still excited to have caught a raptor.

Attached: 1173.jpg (1815x2755, 2.36M)

Crichton would've had a field day in the age of self-driving cars and phone addiction

JW book = JW movie, but with different strengths
LW book > LW movie, but they are almost entirely different stories. 90% of LW movie plot was written entirely for the movie. They are linked in name only.
FK is unironically closer to TLW novel than TLW movie was.

That's precisely one of the main reasons people want to fuck them, their dominant look and appearance makes people want to dominate them or, if you're like me, get dominated by them.

t. bifag scalie with a kobold fursona

He was taken too soon. I am Yea Forums's resident Crichton autist. If he'd just had another 10 years, we could have had another 6-8 books and god knows how many great speeches demolishing "CONSENSUS BASED SCIENCE"

Everything about this post hurts me.

Your tastes are shit.

If I teach myself how to do it and upload to MEGA or somewhere I might do it but I'm afraid you'd all be disappointed. The quality of the scene is good an but I didn't even try to enlarge the frame to fit with the rest of the movie (and I think the black screen at the beginning of the scene goes on for a second too long) it was just an experiment but I still have the edit file so I can come back to it later. It's definitely not a perfect job the way someone made the extended cut of the first Terminator

youtube.com/watch?v=raXWIDbugag

You just have to remember that this goes after Malcolm meets Hammond and before Malcolm goes visits the workshop.

That's the version from the elusive tv edit btw not the more common version from the DVD that has unfinished sound effects and is a bit too bright.

>Scalies in the thread.
If I see one humanization post like the Yea Forums thread i'm gonna open a can of bruh on that ass

But if they ever release Ajay's death scene I think I will edit it in no matter the quality.

Sorry, I would only let my anus be fucked by a giant lizard.

Actually user dinosaurs arn't lizards.

cloaca

the last movie was a solid 3/10 so i can't even imagine the inevitable next one will be watchable either

Fallen Kingdom was perhaps one of the worst movies ive ever seen in recent times. The fact that it retroactively ruins every other Jurassic park even the first one is amazing. Why would they build on a valcano island that was due to erupt. Even if anything never went bad in Jurassic Park 1, the resort would have still eventually been destroyed. The fact that they had to fucking recanon the island, how it looked, that there was a valcano on it. Lets not get started on the shit story, shit locations (who wants to see dinosaurs in a mansion) shit genetic non real dinosaurs, raptors being good guys. 2/10. One of the worst things ive seen on screen.

Dino Crisis 3

It’s basically the hero dinosaur. It’s dumb.

>Hero dinosaur
>Mauled innocent people.
user she respects Owen but she eats people so.

At this point with how dumb Fallen Kingdom was this is the exact bat shit insane stupidity this series is heading and should go. Any pretense of intelligent commentary on nature and science should be kicked to the curb.

You know remember how Dr. Wu was disemboweled.

As a Jurassic Park and Dino crisis fan of the first two games and the lite gun spinoff you can’t politely go fuck your mouth with a cactus

Too bad recent movies turned him into a villain. A step too far but he's still alive maybe they'll do something interesting with him this time and it won't be just more of the same before Velociraptor kills him. Seeing humans killing humans for the first time in the series was painful enough.

No the jumping the shark was the mustache twirling corporate type villain that’s partners with john Hammond secret john Hammond 2.0 partner that might as well be a clone of john Hammond cloning cute girls while a looney tunes hyper violent raptor mutant smiles on camera with its gold racer stripe along its stealth body

JPIII isn't that bad.

>Villian
He just wants money.

I wish I shared your enthusiasm. For me it's still dead last. Thankfully it feels like a special episode of some early 00s tv show so it doesn't drag or anything.

i want to fuck a raptor

FK managed to both feel 5 hours long, and 16 minutes long because NOTHING of note happens in the movie all, it's all setup for nothing

Carnotaurus was a complete waste when you look at the book version or the fact the real life version is incredibly fast. Baryonyx also wasted by not using it in some sort of water scene.

These are My views as well

I hate raptorfags.

Attached: Francis 2.jpg (480x360, 8K)

>tfw will never fug blue's cloaca

I already dealt with the fact that we won't see T-Rex vs. Triceratops (herbivores get no love in the series so it wouldn't be much of a fight anyway). Trevorrow is back at least it's gonna be a bit better than Fallen Kingdom. I liked some little moments he added like photos from the original Lost World.

CUTE!

someones grumpy

I don't like Lego Jurassic World as much as I hoped is Evolution good? Better than Operation Genesis?

And whom was innocent?

All those Park staff.

I thought that was a dumb turn but they have dumb writers

Not when you compare it to Fallen Kingdom. At least it aesthetically feels like the first two movies. Plenty of Stan Winston practical effects. JW movies don’t have that same texture and feel as the first 3.

I'm personally biased towards it because it was the one film (besides the first) that I was exposed to the most. That being said, I understand its faults but a lot of it can be chalked up to its really unstable production. They were writing and changing scripts for the movie during filming and it shows.

But the things it gets right are absolutely phenomenal in my opinion.
>Set design
>Some of the best practical and special effects in the series
>Dinosaur designs
>Atmosphere
>Run-down facilities overtaken by jungle-aesthetics

At best it's complete eye candy for an unapologetic Jurassic fan.
If only the story was a bit better, but I consider it servicable. The only thing I found that bothered me was probably the retconning of Grant and Sattler's relationship.

I don’t understand why they won’t include that. It’s literally the most classic Dino battle in all of history everyone saw in their kids books. Hell I bet they won’t even give us a Rex Spino rematch

You mean the mercs they brought in with guns that shot pterodactyls for fun when they arrived at the park? And Hoskins. Those are the only people the raptors killed.

>Some of the best practical and special effects in the series
I'd disagree there, alot of the effects don't hold up as well as from the first 2, may be that they did a bit more closeups on the digital creatures that made it look more off

>They shot an escape predator!
>They have guns so they must be bad!
No user the raptors killed innocent people and Hoskins was the only """bad""" guy.

I think you have autism if you didn’t interpret that as the film conveying they weren’t nice men.

The novels will never be as good as the movies, but that said I would love to see them faithfully and graphically adapted as miniseries

user these men literally had nothing to indacate they were evil. One guy even told Claire to get out and die for it.

didn't they essentially strong arm Michael Crichton into writing the Lost World?

They weren't bad guys but the movie wasn't generally trying to show them as being good/honorable. Though the scene where they shoot the thing out of the air kinda seemed like it was played for laughs too

Yeah that's what I'm saying. They're just innocent people looking for a job. Also I think most of them are Vets. (Mesroni and the Chopper crew)

What are they suppose to do? Not shoot the dangerous escaped flying dinosaur? It might kill people or be recovered by a rival company that would reverse engineer InGen's trade secrets.

t. hippie

I got three ideas for greens. based off Jurassic World 3.

>The night at Owen's Cabin
>The Death of Henry Wu
>The mimicing dinos. t. Yea Forums thread
Your picks user.

JW3 ends with Owen and Blue putting the finishing touches on his lake cabin

Uhh, nostalgia. Remember seeing the first JP movie in theaters(I was 6) with my dad ( who is now dead). Remember all the cool merchandise, the shitty NES game, owning the VHS and watching it a million times. Then first seeing the preview for TLW “something has survived”. 3rd one came out when I was in HS and like it for what it was. I want to go back guys, I want to gooo baaaacckk!!!!!

t. boomer

I can suspend my disbelief for the dinosaur stuff but to tell me everything in JW was pointless right away is sad.

We've been at this thread for nine hours without a bite to eat.

I didn't make them you sperg I just saw it.
What the fuck user.

This, actual dilo's were big as fuck. Dunno why they made them 4ft tall. The ones from turok made my ass clench

could have been a young one?

What did making her a clone really do for the plot? Does human clone tech mean we can get modified people now too

idk I always wondered if that was for some part that was cut from the movie or not, or maybe it was suggested they killed one of the scientists/workers there

They branched out slightly with spino but fucked that up by having it kill a rex. Now they're stuck cause if they kill off a rex to show off something else itll get major backlash. They seriously screwed up by making the rex the main big bad carno in the movies after 1

what would a raptor cloaca taste like

it could have been any number of poachers, adventurers, or thrill-seekers who wanted to get see dinos up close
in the beginning of the film that one boat is overtly doing parasailing tours just of the coast

its finally leading to that JP4 concept art of human-dino hybrids

Scalies get out!

guess thats true

They’re horror novels that apply real world logic and real world consequences to scientists and amoral business men fucking around with genetics and nature

I didn't think it was a bad reveal and plot point. It brought in some other moral questions about cloning and genetic engineering. The issue is that it was all wasted on her releasing them for no other reason. A rube goldberg machine would had been a better reason to why the dinos were set free rather than her choosing to just let them go.

Modified humans would had been an interesting path to go down.

>interesting.
You misspelled bad.

but it could always make for a good story
I'd love to see movie like Lost World except its a hard R horror movie where they all get killed in the end

yeah, honestly I'm all fine for just more "hunters in the jungle with dinos" then what we have been getting

>All die in the end.
It's a Jurassic Park movie not a Walking Dead episode.

>no crappy "these animals are majestic and we have to take care of them" themes shoved down our throats
>just one terrifying encounter after another with prehistoric monsters with all of our helpless heros meeting their grim end on the island
I'd watch it desu

Wrong

Imagine having a fit over something as small as browsing a board.

Aside from a few scenes and details what's the difference.

>a few
A lot of scenes are cut
Characters were cut, and their personalities and roles spliced together into a single character
The ending was wildly different too, the coasta ricans naplamed the island and a shitload of raptors got onto the mainland.
Raptors were breeding like rabbits in the book

Fair enough.

Honestly, I preferred TLW movie over the book. I don't even really like the movie, but I liked that it actually feels like a continuation of the themes of the first movie, even if they're downplayed and most of the movie is just dudes fucking around on an island before we go fuck around in San Diego. For the first act at least, there's a focus on how man will react to what they created- protect it, or exploit it? Hammond is shown acknowledging that InGen needs to take responsibility for their hubris not by trying to recoup their losses but by ensuring that the lives they created are left in peace.

TLW novel felt disconnected from the original. It was basically just "well there's dinosaurs so let's fuck around with them for a while because something about chaos theory and studying them explains their extinction" and that's kind of it. How anyone actually deals with the fact that dinosaurs exist now is largely unexplored, and other than Dodgson and his goons hoping to get rich, it seems like nobody in the book is even particularly interested with what this actually means. There's no thematic content, it's just a book with some dinosaurs in it.

Probably a lot of the same people

I absolutely agree. It failed, but it was the only movie of the sequels that attempted to address Crichton's original message that drove him to write the novel. FK is still a godawful movie but all the other films are also dog shit.

I knew Reggie was a secret hollow earth reptoid! I fucking knew it!

Literally so they can bring clones of whatever dead person they want in universe for sequels

The novel and the movie are perfect examples of their two forms of media. That being said, the novel has more thematic value than the novel and readers are given more of a view into Crichton's message that the movie in all of its splendor does not deliver. The novel raises more ethical discussion on the nature of biotechnology than the movie does. I believe Hammond, Malcolm, Gennaro, Arnold have more pointed representations in the novel that illustrates Crichton's thoughts on genetic engineering and the changing nature of the scientific endeavor during the 70s-80s.

I really like your assessment. I eally dislike TLW novel. I don't like the movie that much either but it is certainly better than the novel that Crichton didn't want to write.

Besides Jurassic Park, what is your favorite Crichton novel? I have a hard time deciding between The Andromeda Strain and A Case of Need as my second-tier favorites with Next being my uncontested third.

Novel Lex is unbearable.

Yea, I read TLW novel in like 6th grade not knowing it was tied to Jurassic park, it got me into the movies and the first book
last summer I re-read Jurassic Park and loved it even more now that I'm an adult, then I re-read TLW and found it really disappointing compared to the first book

Pal, the novel established that the park was built on a volcanic island in the original novel. It was done that way to harness the geothermal power for energy purposes. Secondly, the original premise of JP is that the creatures are genetic monstrosities- JW simply ups-the-anties and actually introduced mainstream audiences (those that did not read the original novel) to this premise. I agree about the raptors beign used as heroes- that DOES undermine the series retroactively.

That's a misinterpretation of Wu's character. He is multi-faceted- he began as a gifted scientist trying to find his way in the enterprise. In the novel, he stated he was interested in pursuing pure research and it was Hammond who convinced him otherwise. Hammond corrupted his scientific acumen in the search for money- Wu is a tragic figure in the novel. I still like what the current franchise is doing with him.

>People think Blue is a hero.
>Tried to her one of her handlers.
>Mauled Park security.
>Left Owen at the end of Fallen Kingdom.

Blue isn't a Hero she had loyalty to Owen and even she left him at the end of Fallen Kingdom so if you wanna say "I don't like how Owen can give her orders." or "I don't like Blue's loyalty to Owen." That's fair but to say she's a hero/good guy? Is inaccurate.

HELLO JOHN! HELLO JOHN! HELLO JOHN!
>Let me show you. First I'll need a drop of blood.
>*ting*
>Ow. HELLO JOHN!

>I still like what the current franchise is doing with him.
Same. I like that he isn't even really a villainous person, but he's become so enamored with this technology that he can't help himself and just wants to see what he can accomplish. It's scientific curiosity without the barriers of ethics. He's literally become a person who is so preoccupied with whether or not he could, that he doesn't stop to think whether he should.

>cute girls.
Hello 9/11?

JESUS FUCK

I TRIPPED ACID TO JURASSIC PARK LAST NIGHT

Another aspect that I really liked in FK was how he was getting thrown to the wayside with all the hubbub going on with the dino-auction (which was, itself stupid). It rings true to the original spirit of the character in that his identity as a scientist is his work and, given that his work is property of InGen, he, too, is a slave to the conflicts that erupt in the new narrative.

>Tim and Lex are inadvertently responsible to Hammond's death
>book Nedry's death Vs movie Nedry's death
>Muldoon killing the adult rex
>Muldoon dual wielding a rocket launcher and SPAS12
>Gennaro actually surviving
>Wu's disembowelment
>Malcolm's death and later retcon in Lost World
>Grant actually loves kids
>Grant rocks a hawaiian shirt and beard

I did acid or the first time while watching Jurassic Park a part of the way through before getting distracted, listening to music, and verbally assaulting my best friend.

>then I re-read TLW and found it really disappointing compared to the first book
This is sort of what happened to me. I loved the movie, read the book as a kid and loved it even if a lot of it went over my head, but a few years ago (around the time of the JP3D release) I re-read the original novel and found an even greater appreciation for it now that I could really understand it, and decided to read TLW since I'd never done it. It was a huge letdown, it barely even felt like a sequel. It honestly felt like the literary equivalent of a mockbuster, like this was some knockoff author seeing the success of Jurassic Park and deciding to make his own novel about dinosaurs. You could rename it Dino Safari and change the names and you'd never guess it's supposed to be the followup to Jurassic Park.

I'm actually pretty relieved to see I'm not the only one who didn't like TLW, everyone seems to treat it as some great novel.

Luckily I don't have to

Fuck that, I'd rather just have an actual Turok movie. I enjoyed the animated flick but there wasn't enough high tech mixed in with the stone age tech. Never really got the feeling that the Lost Lands were a nexus point of all space and time.

>tfw first car was an explorer

This. They're really their own beasts.

>... everyone seems to treat it as some great novel.
From what I've noticed, more posters on Yea Forums go gaga over the TLW movie and regard it as amazing when, in reality, it is also a subpar and bland sequel with no thematic weight. Where the movie does excel, however, is being shot well, maintaining the same level of special effect quality as the first, and having good action sequences. This comes at the expense of being a hollow movie in which Malcolm's character was altered irrevocably. FW IS THE BETTER SEQUEL YOU FUCKS (This is not addressed to you since you seem like a very polite person.)!!!!

Hey anyone remember that one dinosaur game for Xbox 360? It wasn't Turok.

I wish to copulate with Blue, is that wrong?

What's the plot?

Dinosaur.

Carnivores you pleb

SOLD

No like it's just Blue before the humans got there to save the dinos.

JP jumped the shark as soon as they started pulling that dinosaurs as weapons of war shit, it's beyond retarded.

It's even better than the movie, but the sequel book is not as good as the sequel movie.

That shark was jumped like a decade and a half ago

Shit taste.

One of the worst sequels of all time.

hahaha a talking raptor im too high for this

>People rant about FK
>Everyone forgot about this.

I think TLW is such a visually weak film. I dont mean the Special effects. the design of sorna and the dinosaurus is really boring. And many dino scenes (especially trex) are just variants of scenes in JP1.
I think jp3 does a much better job at showing us a sorna with an active eco system and we actually see some of those mentioned production facilities.
In TLW they walk for miles without a hint of a dinosaur. Also the red woods as a setting is retarded.

I think if you mix TLW and jp3 together you would actually have the best jurassic sequel. The plot of tlw, the visuals of jp3, reverse the outcome of the spino rex showdown. And I think its a better sequel than the two movies on their own.

>A dream sequence
>Jumping the shark
This scene was only stupid due to the fact that it uses the updated raptor look instead of the Nublar ones, like Grant knew somehow what they looked like before he even got to site B.

Either way, your shark jump came much earlier, friend.

Honest question: why does everyone hate JP3? I remember seeing it when I was really young and outside of the talking raptor dream I don't get what was so offensive about it. Was it that the spinosaur?

Anyone got a WORKING torrent link to the superwide open matte 35mm rip of the first Jurassic Park?
