Yeah it’s just trying to hit you over the head with the characters and setting right off the bat. I think that’s why season 1 is the worst season overall as well. It has some peak episodes but there’s way too many “duuude were in the 60s lmao” moments and the characters are all over done. The pilot being the worst example. It does have a terrific season finale though.
