I don't know why people like KOTM better than this movie.
In this movie the scenes and shots were longer and meaningful. The characters were identifiable. And Elizabeth Olsen's cheeks were still round like an apple.

kek fuck off you fucking contrarian
did anyone else notice all the cgi budget tricks in kotm? every shot with monsters was in the rain / snow / ash / underwayer, was almost as obnoxious as godzilla 2014 not showing monsters for 90% of the film
When compared to KOTM I mean.
The fight in Godzilla 2014 that don't cut away are great. I was more impressed by the fight against the two MUTOs than anything in KOTM.
KOTM got too many characters. Too many sides to cover.
And it became too campy for most characters
It really was obvious to me with the convenient cut-aways, they kept cutting to the actors instead of monsters to avoid the more inconvenient actions they'd need to animate. The biggest example to me is when Godzilla is resurrected and they watch him rise out of the water.
godzilla 2014 and pacific rim had edwards and del toro who are very talented directors with strong visions and a passion for big monster fights. KOTM and uprising not only failed at being sequels but on a basic filmmaking level as well, because edwards and del toro weren't brought back and got replaced by complete hacks.
True, but quite frankly I liked it MUCH better that way.
This shit is ULTRA CHEEEEESE and this way they made it at least somewhat less and almost even borderline creepy and ominous.
I would say they did give the movie an original and personal style. Both sequels look the same
I say the sequels outright didn't work, because the new directors didn't know how to shoot big monsters.
2014 is better directed, but KOTM is a better film. The script problems in 2014 were horrendous, and KOTM had a tight script even if it was B movie stuff. Haven't seen PR2.
This alone makes Godzilla 2019 better than 2014
no people do but some Yea Forums retards probably do
2014 blew it the very second they killed off Walter White.
Like seriously that entire ad campaign was built off the god tier hype idea of Walter White vs Godzilla and the fucking blew it.
And then to make things worse they made Kick Ass the main protagonist after that when he has the screen presence of a can of olives.
this movie was more about:
>USA
>USA
>ARMY
>WHY WONT YOU JOIN THE ARMY?
>USA
Disagree. 2014 got its own music going on too. It may not be the iconic themes but it worked for its own movie.
You’re a fucking moron.
False
Don't know anything about the ad campaign for 2014, but I guarantee you that character was written as a throwaway. Later down the line, a producer probably said the movie was lacking in star power. So they casted Bryan Cranston, who naturally gave a great performance. So the audience was endeared to a character that the script had no interest in.
My post is factually correct. The W.W. vs Godzilla hype was off the charts
If you were here on this board in 2014 you would know that.
I know it's irrelevant but I have to say it
>Aaron and Olsen starred Godzilla as husband and wife
>Aaron and Olsen appeared in Avengers 2 as brother and sister
>wincest
>Olsen and Brolin did wincest in Old Boy
>Olsen and Brolin appeared in Avengers 4
boring
unlikable character
The beginning with Cranston is compelling. The ending with Godzilla is awesone.
Everything in the middle is miles beyond forgettable.
2019 had multiple 'oh shit' scenes throughout the movie with Rodan scene as a personal favorite.
>Muh amurrican soldier dumb-dumb
the second cranston dies is the second people stop caring.
i wish they erased the kick-ass actor and pay more for cranston to stay as the main character.
>heisenberg does a HALO jump into downtown sanfransisco
>the second cranston dies is the second people stop caring.
I DEMAND CRANSTON
30 MINUTES OF SCREEN TIME ISN'T ENOUGH
I WANT SEVEN HOURS OR THIS IS BAD MOVIE
WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
no,
the problem is that the kick-ass soldier has the presence of a wet napkin. and zero charisma.
cranston gets replaced with a npc protagonist.
if they had a better, more compelling character then it would not suck as much
How to fix this movie:
>Bryan Cranston doesn't die, except maybe at the end
>Remove MUTO, Godzilla is the adversary
>Add literally 60 more seconds of Godzilla
>Remove MUTO
Remove your post, they were the best western kaijus ever, design, sounds, behaviour
didn't the makers of pacific rim do the same thing to mych praise because it added weight to the characters. the one shirt daylight scene in pr1 and lots of pr2 looked fake without the particle effects
Brolin stroked Olsen's hair in Infinity War right before backhanding her face
Asian exposition man is my favorite
