You are missing out

I watched this in 2001 and had no idea wtf went on until anno released the classified information files in 2005 which explained everything

Yeah im thinking you should go back to your containment board fags

All I understood was that life was worth living no matter how gay it is

what exactly am I missing out on?

Kino, based frog poster

The new dub clarified it all.

My favorite scene was when Kaworu looked straight at the screen and told Shinji that he doesn't love trannies.

I'm watching it for the first time on Netflix, I never watch weeb shit usually but curiousity got the best of me. It's ok, not blown away by it and the melodramatic nip teen angst shit is a bit grating but I'm going to finish watching it

A great movie experience with beautiful shots and great animation.

What ep u at? Not memeibg, it goes from good to great at around ep 10

The first time I finished Evangelion it fucked me up for a day after just processing what the hell just went on.

What's not to understand?

Watched ep 11 the other day, was pretty good actually

It's pretty simple to understand if you saw the series beforehand to put it into context.
> Shinji has ran out of people to turn and fallen into despair after killing Kaworu. Has a special hospital visit to Asuka.
> SEELE have had enough of Gendo playing them and send the JSSDF to Nerv to kill everyone.
> Misato harasses Shinji using her last resort of sexuality to get him to Unit 01, then dies.
> Lots of deaths
> Gendo attempts to merge with Rei to gain godhood and reunite with Yui, Rei says 'nah' and merges with Lilith herself.
> Third Impact happens, as Shinji's ego hits rock-bottom, Rei/Adam/Lilith create the Anti-AT Field that reduces all humans to primordial ooze.
> All is one as human souls are released from their earthly forms into Lilith's black moon, where NERV's HQ resided.
> Rei allows Shinji to take control of Instrumentality and through talking with his loved ones and his mother, realises a life alone is no good and the sweet can never be as sweet without the bitter.
> The Rei/Adam/Lilith crumbles as Instrumentality is rejected by Shinji, allowing souls to make the choice, like Shinji, to reclaim their bodies
> Shinji though soon falls into despair again with him alone with Asuka.
> Fin.

From that point forward it gets gradually better and better. You are in for a treat

kinda rude of Sinji to strangle Asuka

nothing confusing here

If nothing else, Evangelion is probably the most influential piece of media to the overall userbase and culture of Yea Forums as a whole.

huh, so that's why Yea Forums is so shit

Yes.

Episodes 25 and 26 beforehand however left me in a nipponcidal rage

she's such a brat

Like i said, its not a meme. The show earns its legendary status at the second half of the show.
