I’ve watched them all and I enjoy them, but I’m a pretty big horror fan. You’ll see a lot of actors that are famous now, but weren’t famous then. At least you could say each movie is completely different and it’s own way.

Don’t bother with anything past 4, but 3 and 4 aren’t great either.

Seriously, if you have any interest in a series, and you don’t watch Inferno, you’re making a big mistake. It’s incredible.

You really only have to watch the first 2 in order, if any of the others seem interesting to you then it doesn’t really matter the order if you want more cebonite action. Don’t waste your time on hellworld it’s not even funny how bad it is.

I’ve seen them all mostly just for the cebonites, they pretty much all have decently gruesome sequences and all that of your just in it for the horror. However the first 2 are the only ones that are actually good movies. I’d say start there then just watch whichever ones you feel like after that.

This, you can tell some of the plots were for completely unrelated premises and hellraiser motif was shoehorned in for marketing

4 is better then 3, had some fantastic ideas with the multiple generation thing but got fucked in editing like Halloween 6 by the same company.
50 times better then Jason X because it actually takes the "In space" theme seriously.

The first, by far. The second is really only worth watching for its depiction of Leviathan. The rest are worthless trash. Also, even the first two are disgusting. Anyone at all familiar with Clive Barker or the film adaptations of his works knows this though.

1 is unequivocally the best--a horror masterpiece. 2 is okay, but was rushed and it shows a bit. 3 starts great, has some good Pinhead moments, but ends horribly. The rest are utter trash.

What irritates me about the entire series is that they had to explore the history of Pinhead and the box. It's best left as a mystery. I like the idea that the Cenobites are inter-dimensional space entities/demons that are drawn to humans through the box. Making up some bullshit backstory just fucking ruins everything.

Debatable. The human drama surrounding the box is pretty straight forward trechery and betrayal with crazy psychopaths seeking it, killing for it etc. The horror though is hard R with torture . Bdsm themes . Gore etc how you put that into a tv show without heavy neutering im not sure .

Don't really remember anything about 6-7. 8 was pure meta shit. One of those movies that takes place in our world where hellraiser is a work of fiction and a big mmo. Starts out with one of the mcs friend killing them selves over the game then pinhead gets Isekai'd to our world somehow.
