Could a new series work?
I think if the joke of them all being old yet still maintaining their original character traits was worked into the plot in a clever way it could definitely work, the rumoured plot of Blackadder being a modern day university lecturer definitely seems like it has potential

As a STEM student I thought the whole "SJW Unis" thing was a meme until I had to take "Women and Gender in Science and Technology" to fulfill a req, and the textbook (written by the professor) was full of shit saying that concepts like the American mixing pot and cultural integration are racist alongside a ton of commie dogwhistling.

How could you think that? Have you not been paying attention? It's gotten so bad that they have commie RA's telling students they're not allowed to hang American flags in their dorms because it's offensive and state governments are having to step in.
Because no major news outlet reports those stories, and my personal experience was limited to a campus in North Carolina primarily composed of southern locals, apolitical yankee imports, and Indians.
